Average quality and smaller than average portions, given the price. Over rated.
Best sushi I've ever had. And I've had amazing sushi.
Right on Lincoln Mall, this venue has great food in a unique Japanese/South American style. Definitely worth a try.
It was quiet outdoors during lunch on a Tuesday.
We had an absolutely wonderful time at SushiSamba dromo, Our waiter Mike was EXCELLENT!!! He took care of everything. The food was fantastic, ambiance great for a girls night out birthday celebration. If you go ask to sit in Mikes section and let him do all of the ordering. You will not regret it! Will definitely make this a must visit every trip to Miami Beach. And will be visiting the New York location very soon. Loved it
One of the best restaurants in Miami Beach! I make sure to always here at least once when I'm in town!
Always great food with a great menu (and saki menu). Great atmosphere and perfect mix of culture.
We had such a wonderful time at SushiSamba this Saturday (11/3/12) night! we were out celebrating a bachleorette party and our server Lindsay was GREAT!! she was very knowledgable about the menu, very helpful and attentive to our table! the food was outrageous! the sushi very creative and fresh!
Overall- a great experience!
When in South Beach, I wouldn't miss an opportunity to go to Sushisamba dromo. The vibe on the patio is awesome. The sake selection is amazing, and the food is incredible. We were also fortunate to get exemplary service from someone who knew the menu thoroughly and made outstanding recommendations. A little pricey, but in hindsight, worth every penny!!
great food. Loved the ceviche combo, best ever.Yummy drinks. Must visit place in the South Beach.
I dine at SushiSamba often, and it never disappoints! It always has a vibrant scene, delicious and innovative food. I can never decide whether I like better sitting outside for the awesome people watching, or dining inside for the great music and atmosphere. I highly recommend SushiSamba!
Loved it! Excellent sushi, great outdoor dining!
Rolls were a bit odd - trying to hard to be overly creative, but ended up with strange combination of flavors. Sauces and spices overwhelmed the fish.
Excellent lunch! Food was great with nice variety. Our waitress was superb and offered great advice. If you want tasty sushi mixed with Latin influences than this is your place.
The food is always amazing! We frequent SushiSamba in NYC, must be the palm trees & beautiful people because or fav is South Beach by far!
Seafood awesome-ceviche and sushi= yum. churrasco = dry and no flavor. Waiters not so smart- gave 2 cards to split the bill and instead he double charged the whole bill on one card!
Love going to SushiSamba. The food is a little over price but excellent - but eveything on Lincoln Road is. Their caipirinhas are out of this world.
We love SushiSamba - Miami, NY and Vegas. Every Resturant is incredible!!
This Sushisamba is much bigger than the one on Park Ave in NYC, but same menu, and decor concept. Lincoln Road is busy, anyway, with restaurants and shops that stay open late, so this place gets lots of people - even on a Monday night. The restaurant was taking part in the Miami Spice week, but they had specials off that menu, and I ended up ordering a special, instead. I like the expanded drinks list from your regular sushi restaurant.
This restaurant was great and the prices were even better. We didnt eat the sushi, but split several small plates. The ceviché was amazing. So much better than we expected. Very different from a typical brazillian restaurant. I would recomend this to anyone.
Great food and great service from the staff. Definitely spend some time with the bartenders there. George at the bar was outstanding.
Overall a good experience. Have visited SushiSamba plenty of times throughout the years and it has always stayed on my top sushi places in Miami. This time it was no different, specially with the Samba girls and the Batucada celebrating Brazilian Independence. The ambiance is very trendy, energetic, vibrant. Definelty not a place for a romantic dinner... However, great for large groups and special occasions. Food is delicious, the menu this time had a bit more Brazilian influence. It is great that you have the option of two sitting ares. You can relax inside to the sounds of the DJ or sit outside and people watch... Lincoln Rd. has plenty to of that... Overall would definetly recommend it...
Food was very good. Excellent quality of fish. The service was good. The only complaint I have is with the excessive use of mayonnaise on the rolls. I noticed that the sushi chefs make the rolls and the servers dress them with the sauces. They were all very heavy on the sauce. It masked the freshness and flavor of the fish.
The service has much improved here. The waitstaff used to be very snooty and unfriendly. We went back hoping it would be better and it WAS. Waiter was terrific, friendly and courteous. The host was excellent and very responsive. The food portions were larger than I remembered, and the quality was great. I'm glad we tried again! We'd go back.
Food was fresh and well prepared. Very interesting options with lovely presentation. This is a great place to "get the party started."
Atmosphere is fun & energetic - DJ was great!! Decor is pretty cool. Our server was lovely and remained attentive throughout the meal. Oddly enough, kitchen dishes arrived much faster than items ordered from the sushi part of the menu. My only complaint is that the booths with parallel seating to the left of the entrance are WAY too close to each other & bolted to the floor. I am only 5'5 and kept bumping knees with my friend sitting across from me who is even shorter. The guy in our party who was 6'tall had to keep one leg outside and one completely angled over.
This was our second time at Sushisamba and again, our experience was outstanding! Our server, Harold was simply amazing! We accepted his suggestion of letting him order both appetizers and entrees for us. Everything he chose was GREAT! We love the location, and always request and outside table. It is really noisy inside.
We will be dining at Sushisamba every time we visit Miami!
Great people watching in the outdoor seating area. Lincoln. Food better than in NY. Drinks just as good. Expensive and sceney but worth it if you like watching the scene.
We were vacationing is South Beach and got the recommendation from the bartender at the National Hotel. We loved our waiter, the uniquie food offerings and the whole experience. Next time was are in Miami, we will go back.
Ate sushi was very good, yellow tail tacos highly recommended! !! They were awesome.. great ambience! Great service! Luv sitting aoutside watching the people walk by ....inside the restaurant is beautiful very good music...
Fabulous restaurant for a "girl's night out" in Miami Beach. Food is perfect for sharing and drinks were awesome!
Used to be much better. Very slow service. Food was below average, was not fresh
We went with a large party of 8 and the service was phenomenal! We in-trusted our waitress to order for us. She asked us a few questions about our likes and dislikes, and explained their drinks perfectly. We were already impressed with the drinks, but even more so when the food started arriving. We ended up with amazing small plates of food brought out at the perfect times! We got to sample Brazilian, Peruvian and Japanese items, and there were no complaints from anyone. Our waitress explained each dish as it arrived. It was truly a great experience and tasty food! Highly recommended!
I love this place, food is really good... the only problem is that the quantities are very small... very small.
Zero service. And by zero service I mean that we never had a waiter. The hostess sat us and no one even looked at us for 15 minutes. We went back to the hostess to ask for a waiter and finally were given water. Another 15 minutes went by and eventually a waiter from another section took pity on us and put in our food order. It was basically do-it-yourself dining. Should have walked out.
Like a circus. Far from relaxing atmosphere. Good food and server however.
It's a shame that Sushisamba has grown too big for its own good. I've been a regular from day one but over the past few years it's been a steady decline in service and sometimes in the food too. I had to wait over 30 mins to get drinks after being seated down. When the food came it was missing 2 rolls which later took an extra 30 mins to get. By then I had lost my appetite. Not for a second did the oblivious server acknowledge a mistake or even apologize. He was too worried about his friends seating nearby at a table.
SUSHISAMBA STINKS, TOO BAD!
Food was fresh inventive and delicious.
Our group included folks from Asian cultures where the preparation of rice is rigorous. Their opinion was that the rice did not meet standards, and would not be acceptable in their homeland. However, we all agreed that the flavors and combinations were interesting, and we all enjoyed experimenting with the menu. Our server, Rebecca, was instrumental in our decision-making process by helping us to better understand how spicy, serving sizes, etc. Her enthusiasm contributed to our openness to experimenting.
Birthday Dinner gone bad...service and food was terrible. Maybe an off night but not even comp drinks could make it better...it got WORSE, the "free" dessert (avocado mousse) tasted like puke. Wow.
Returned for a second visit after two years. Not as loud as we remembered but the food at least as good.
