Great Sushi! Great Service! Great Prices!Definitely going back again.
The food was great. At first, I was a little bit taken aback at how expensive some of the sushi rolls were. But I didn’t hold back, and I still order the usual four for the table. Their rolls were huge!! Not mad about it
The service was fantastic! We enjoyed Three specialty rolls and the spicy edamame was our favorite! Highly recommend!!
Extremely disappointed. We waited 20-30 minutes per sushi item. We were there for almost 2 hours. There were literally 6 sushi chefs behind the sushi bar. They seemed more interest in filling to go orders rather than taking care of their live customers. Our server was nice and she had no control of the food coming out so we do t blame her.,Manager did not even come over to apologize for the extreme wait. The table to our right and to our left also made comments to us about the long wait for their food.
This all comes down to bad time management and prioritizing food orders. It’s obvious the management there is lacking in customer service. Will be calling corporate.
Delicious food. Fantastic waiter really made the visit. One of the most hospitable places I’ve been to.
Absolutely loved Sushi Zushi! My husband and I agreed it was the best sushi we’ve ever had. Both of our cocktails were delicious as well. We’ll certainly be back again soon!
Our waitress was amazing! I forget her name but she was so sweet and considerate. We loved her!
Food was fantastic, and the menu is pretty extensive. The service, however, was increasingly frustrating as the night went on, with us having to actually GO GET our server to get simple things like a promised fork!
The service was great! Our miso soup was very sty so the waitress did not charge us for the soups and in addition gave us a free edamame. The sushi was delicious.
Half of our parties food came out 15 minutes before everyone else’s.
It was extremely busy and the service was extremely slow, 25 minutes for an appetizer.
It was our first time here and we loved it. The service was great and food was amazing. We both got cocktails, split a few small bites, rolls, and warm food items.
The food was good but the services was the worst.
We waited more than 55 minutes for our food and we had the wrong items. They try to make it up for us giving us more food... but all we want was our selection.
We have to wait for the waiters to bring us thisngs and the were distracted and make our experience not good at all.
Food was very good, loved everything we ordered. So many options, it was hard to decide. Rolls came out fast and fresh.
We generally like sushi zushi - and usually stick with the sushi. We ventured into teppanyaki territory this last time (big mistake). the grilled salmon was lukewarm (like tap water warm) while the vegetables tasted like they'd been marinating for a week in sauce. The katsu curry is disappointing as well . There aren't any discernable vegetables in the curry so it's basically just a thin runny sauce on rice. The katsu was fine - the breading was crispy and not overly greasy. There wasn't any pickled radish on the side either. Other than that the sashimi and the salad (the uncooked dishes) were fine,
Our waitress, Nicole, was great! Plus I love that October is Sake month and they have specials on their tempura ($3 for four pieces!!) and great happy hour prices.
The fish is always fresh and the selection is excellent.
Great as usual. Love the Razor!
I can't remember if our waitresses name was Whitney or Whitley, but she was amazing and gave the best hospitality!
Overall a decent sushi joint. Nothing too noteworthy about the food other than that it was good, not exceptional. The service was great and the atmosphere was OK. It's priced right so I could see myself coming back for another casual sushi night.
Good food. Good quality sashimi and some great rolls. Tempura poppers were awesome. Good service and very attentive manager/owner.
Very good haven't stopped talking about it all week!!!
This was a dirty place! The menus were filthy. The atmosphere is barely a notch above McDonald. While the food itself was really not too bad at all, the surroundings completely negated the experience. Will not be going back.
Service never has much personality
But is attiquite .
No brown rice option ... only bleached rice and a lot of it in my very roll .
Hostess is always good
Many tables are too close together
Drinks are very good
I love their happy hour options and pricing! The sushi here is always fresh and delicious
It's a mess. Really kills me because I love sushi zushi but this location can't get it together. First, it's dirty. Not a little dirty - full on dirty. The menus are gross, there is always stuff scattered around and it feels dirty.
We arrived about 3 mins late for our reservation. Didn't matter - the host didn't even say hello to us for another 5-10mins. Took him another 5-10 after that to seat us. When we were seated, our waitress informed us that food was taking over an hour for delivery. We left her $10 and walked out.
I've written notes to SZ about this location before and they just don't seem to be able to fix it - so I won't be going back. Maybe when I'm near the domain I'll go to that one which in my experience is spotless and well run.
Excellent and fresh, as always. The Bora Bora roll (add serrano peppers!) is awesome!
I wish they had a better dessert selection, but otherwise I love this place.
Great food, the happy hour is fantastic and the sushi is great! They have a large menu with a lot of variety. The one thing they lacked was a large variety of traditional rolls wrapped in seaweed. Most was rice outside. Either way, the food was great and the service was great. Will definitely be going again!
All was good, as is typically the case. Biggest downfall in my opinion - too many times on the menu!...
Food and service were both great, loved both of my rolls! And they participated in dine out for the cure!
We always love sushi zushi. It's always top notch food. Our server did not seem to be at his best, was short with us at times and seemed inattentive. We asked for a lot of things. This is not the norm as we frequently eat sushi, but this time service was so so. Hope next time it's better
I'm a frequent visitor but last night was for Valentines Day and it was as delicious as ever! Sushi Zushi on 5th is probably hands down my best Sushi restaurant in Austin!
Interesting place with some unique twists on sushi staples.
The Sushi was fantastic. The portions were huge and they have a decent wine selection. All in all, great sushi spot in Austin!
I love how fresh everything is at Sushi Zushi. Another great meal plus their new menu and table setup is a cute and helpful addition. Everything seems to be moving toward a more upscale feel - which is nice, considering how great the food is.
Food was GREAT but it was freezing cold! We had jackets and scarves and we were still cold! We asked for it to be adjusted and we were they declined with a good reason!
I've been going to Sushi Zushi for many years, at it has always been my go-to sushi spot. I was so disappointed in the quality of food - the rolls tasted like the fish was old and looked thrown together. The service was so incredibly slow and the restaurant was not even full. I won't be going back any time soon :-(
Definitely a good option if you want good sushi without breaking the bank. Casual atmosphere and fairly quiet, especially for a Saturday night.
Sushi was fresh . Atmosphere was very nice , however service was lacking that night . Our waiter had too many tables to serve . As a consequence , we waited for our food longer than usual .
Service was awful. Had to constantly ask for things-more water, missing items we ordered, our check, plates.
Old , run down
