Sushi Zushi - Lincoln Heights Ratings and Reviews
Food not very good other than Tempura Shrimp. Salad tasted fishy... Food had a whole 3 bites of protein on a combo noodles dish. One bite of chicken, one beef and one shrimp. Literally... Ordered another side of rice when we saw how small the portions were. It did not arrive until we were completely done with the entire meal while ordered when food was delivered. I will not be back.
We are new to the area and had driven by Sushi Zushi several times and were not drawn to the location by the bland outside. Our first visit was a good reminder to not judge a book by it's cover. The interior ambience is sophisticated and well executed to create a relaxed yet classy feeling. My wife and I enjoyed the interaction with the friendly staff and when the food arrived we were impressed with the presentation. The freshness of the ingredients was clear when we took the first bite. We enjoyed the food and will be back.
I have been to this restaurant multiple times for many occasions. I have given this location many opportunities to redeem itself but always find myself embarrassed and dissatisfied. I have many friends and family members visit SA and I’m always excited to share the Sushi Zushi brand but always find myself apologetic to my guests when coming to this location. My last experience was absolutely awful. It took 45 min to get 4 simple happy hour menu rolls. Rolls were unevenly cut and inconsistent. Other unsatisfactory included attentiveness and the amount of time that lapsed between ordering and paying. I talked with the manager to discuss these points. We will see if things change.
Fantastic Find! Stumbled upon this restaurant, and we are SO happy we did. Had an amazing menu! Lots to choose from. We ordered 4 rolls and some spicy edamame, so delicious. We will definitely go back for their daily happy hour (3-6 pm) to sample more rolls and drink specials.
I got there 11:30 on a Saturday morning for an early lunch, they welcomed me at the door before my friend and I even opened the door, then took us straight to our table. Within seconds we had a kind gentleman asking us what we'd like to drink. I, being an American under the age of drinking, got a coke, as did my buddy. We got edamame and a sushi sampler after some time of thinking. We didn't have to wait any longer than you would for a Big Mac before our food was sitting in front of us, looking almost artistic. Before I remembered to take a snapchat of my meal to strike a sense of jealousy in my friends, I had already put down all of my meal, as it was so appetizing, I ... I digress. Terrific experience, very kind staff, first day in town went very well starting particularly strong at Sushi Zushi. A very filling meal under 20$ made for a very good time. I would suggest it to anyone who asked where they should go for a nicer lunch.
My wife, child and I dined at the restaurant and left to do some shopping. Less that 4 minutes after leaving the restaurant I returned for the pacifier left on the table. The first person I asked, the bus boy, seemed bothered by the request. I made sure he knew that I was not asking if we left the pacifier, but told him we left the pacifier and returned to retrieve it. He said he did not see anything. I asked if he could check in the back or where they discard items from a cleaned table. He literally walked back spun around and came back outside where he told me he did not see anything. I guess he forgot that the area he went to is open to the view of the public.
If you go here just make sure you do not forget anything. You WILL NOT see it again!
This place was great! We went to this location instead of the downtown location based on other reviews. My husband and I are always a little hesitant to try new sushi places, because you never really know what you are going to get. They have such a variety, and we were very pleased. The only downside is that the menu is a little overwhelming. It seems like there are about 100 different rolls to choose from, not to mention the pages of available sake to choose from. I guess we will have to keep going back to try it all!
Sushi Zushi is our go-to option when we don't feel like making dinner. Food is good, consistent, and servers are always nice, we've never had a problem. I will say the Lincoln heights location is usually pretty noisy which is good if you have a group. One dissapointing dish we ordered, which doesn't happen much, was an appetizer of seared tuna crusted with pepper. Came with little hint of pepper and none of the sauce that was supposed to be on it, and was a pretty small portion.
Nice location in Lincoln / Alamo Heights, San Antonio. Nice ambiance. Nice bar area. Great food - extensive menu; everyone should at least one item they enjoy. Recommend it to all my friends. Dine here frequently. Price is in line with most sushi restaurants. We always enjoy dining here and think you will too. Try it and see.
