Sushi Zushi - Lincoln Heights

Food was great but it took quite a while
Service was extremely slow. It took one hour for our food to be served. Our server barely interacted with us and didn’t seem to care.
There are other excellent sushi restaurants in the city. We will be frequenting them from now on.
Great dining experience.
Sushi zushi Lincoln heights is my favorite location in San Antonio. The hosts and wait staff are always pleasant and on their game. Food is delicious. Have never had a bad experience. Ben , who was our server, is goofy and funny, all while making sure he took good care of us providing an entertaining experience as well.
Always a great place to have a family dinner where everyone enjoys the good and mommy and dady can have a few drinks. It is our go to for family dinners.
It took a half hour to get our food and every dish that should have been hot/warm was lukewarm or worse, room temperature. Not good for a soup or tempura. Flavor wasn't there either like the kitchen had given up on serving tasty food. The price with tip and no alcohol was $75 for two. Way over-priced for what we got. We won't be going back.
Although it’s far from authentic, Sushi Zushi is absolutely delicious. The food is always fresh, and the service (at least at some locations) is always consistently great! If you’re a “Sushi snob” who compares everything to that “one place in Japan/California/anywhere,” then you might not appreciate the food for what it is: a blending of the owner’s culture and experiences. Love it!
Great waiter with great food!
Best sushi in San Antonio! We have tried several since moving to the area, and keep coming back to Zushi
The service today was slow and the server couldn't possibly have been less interested in us.
The appetizer came two minutes before our sushi came to the table. It was just poor service.
I made a reservation ahead of time because it was my wife's birthday and it's her favorite restaurant. I even clicked on the "Birthday" option of the "Special Event?" question and we never got an acknowledgement about her birthday the entire time.
It was disappointing. I was disappointing and struggling with the thought of going back.
We had sashimi, rolls, and appetizers and everything was excellent. We have been eating sushi for over 20 years this place is excellent. We now live in New Braunfels and drive 30-45 min depending on traffic just to go eat here. We love it.
We love Sushi Zushi!! The food and the service was excellent as always!!
We went there for Mother’s Day and used the Open Table app for a reservation.
The only complaint I have is that Open Table allowed me to make a reservation for a time in which the restaurant wasn’t even open - 11am and the restaurant didn’t open until 11:30am.
I made the reservation several days ahead but did not receive a call from the restaurant until 10:30am on Mother’s Day. We were already on the way there so we had to make a detour and kill some time before going to the restaurant. In all, everything was excellent and we had a great time.
Lovely experience, as always. The staff was attentive, atmosphere nice, and the food was excellent.
Great dining experience
Relaxing place to have some great sushi and conversation.
Great food and service.
Sushi was not great
Food was great and service was good but the Sake tasted watered down.
I love Sushi Sushi, but this location especially!
My boyfriend and I always make the drive (about 30 minutes) for our special occasion date nights.
Would definitely recommend to a friend!
First time here, everything was exceptional, will be back, the tower appetizer was delicious!
Food not very good other than Tempura Shrimp. Salad tasted fishy... Food had a whole 3 bites of protein on a combo noodles dish. One bite of chicken, one beef and one shrimp. Literally... Ordered another side of rice when we saw how small the portions were. It did not arrive until we were completely done with the entire meal while ordered when food was delivered. I will not be back.
We are new to the area and had driven by Sushi Zushi several times and were not drawn to the location by the bland outside. Our first visit was a good reminder to not judge a book by it's cover. The interior ambience is sophisticated and well executed to create a relaxed yet classy feeling. My wife and I enjoyed the interaction with the friendly staff and when the food arrived we were impressed with the presentation. The freshness of the ingredients was clear when we took the first bite. We enjoyed the food and will be back.
I have been to this restaurant multiple times for many occasions. I have given this location many opportunities to redeem itself but always find myself embarrassed and dissatisfied. I have many friends and family members visit SA and I’m always excited to share the Sushi Zushi brand but always find myself apologetic to my guests when coming to this location. My last experience was absolutely awful. It took 45 min to get 4 simple happy hour menu rolls. Rolls were unevenly cut and inconsistent. Other unsatisfactory included attentiveness and the amount of time that lapsed between ordering and paying. I talked with the manager to discuss these points. We will see if things change.
Great food but the service was extremely slow. We had to ask for our drinks twice and wait person didn’t come around to see if we needed anything.
The pork katsu was fantastic. Also try the Japanese Cherry Blossom drink, it's awesome.
We were first time customers but we will be back. The food was great and our waiter - Kip was great. Nice evening. Dave
Great food, very friendly waitstaff, all around a great experience!
Always like to eat here for sushi. Like the Lincoln Heights location the best because it seems so causal yet great food!
We arrived early, but were seated within five minutes. Our waiter was wonderful, offered some suggestions, which we took. The shrimp/vegetable tempura was nice and hot, ready to go. The Chirasi and excellent and what a value. We will be back.
Great service and food. I loved being greeted by name by the bartendress. She made a delicious matgarita. Skip was our waiter. He was very attentive and made my daughter's birthday special.
Overall everything was good, but since it was valentines night service was a little bit slower than usual and they even run out of coffee cups 😂
Great food and great experience
Food was good but disappointed that the main meal I ordered did not come with soup or rice that would normally be included at other restaurants.
Fast and good as always.
Fantastic Find! Stumbled upon this restaurant, and we are SO happy we did. Had an amazing menu! Lots to choose from. We ordered 4 rolls and some spicy edamame, so delicious. We will definitely go back for their daily happy hour (3-6 pm) to sample more rolls and drink specials.
Best sushi restaurant in San Antonio!
We have eaten sushi around and across the country. Sushi Zushi is the best. Amazing rolls and fish of the highest quality (melts in your mouth). Any of the locations will delight.
I got there 11:30 on a Saturday morning for an early lunch, they welcomed me at the door before my friend and I even opened the door, then took us straight to our table. Within seconds we had a kind gentleman asking us what we'd like to drink. I, being an American under the age of drinking, got a coke, as did my buddy. We got edamame and a sushi sampler after some time of thinking. We didn't have to wait any longer than you would for a Big Mac before our food was sitting in front of us, looking almost artistic. Before I remembered to take a snapchat of my meal to strike a sense of jealousy in my friends, I had already put down all of my meal, as it was so appetizing, I ... I digress. Terrific experience, very kind staff, first day in town went very well starting particularly strong at Sushi Zushi. A very filling meal under 20$ made for a very good time. I would suggest it to anyone who asked where they should go for a nicer lunch.
We have been Sushi Zushi - Lincoln Heights faithful for many years now...never, ever disappointed. Food is always great and service is awesome as well. If you enjoy sushi, you really can't go wrong with Sushi Zushi!
My wife, child and I dined at the restaurant and left to do some shopping. Less that 4 minutes after leaving the restaurant I returned for the pacifier left on the table. The first person I asked, the bus boy, seemed bothered by the request. I made sure he knew that I was not asking if we left the pacifier, but told him we left the pacifier and returned to retrieve it. He said he did not see anything. I asked if he could check in the back or where they discard items from a cleaned table. He literally walked back spun around and came back outside where he told me he did not see anything. I guess he forgot that the area he went to is open to the view of the public.
If you go here just make sure you do not forget anything. You WILL NOT see it again!
