Sushi Zushi - Downtown
Dine In • Take Out • Delivery • Catering
Improve ambiance and service. Weren’t busy, but acted busy. Otherwise pretty good
I ordered the yakisoba with a side of gyoza and California rolls. I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant as it wasn’t too loud and the server was very friendly and helpful. I would eat at this place again if I’m ever back in San Antonio.
We were visiting for a conference. Easy walk from the Marriott Riverwalk down Market Street. Location was a little obscure. But found it in the corner of the International Building.
Austin, Ragin’ Cajun and Las Vegas rolls we so good. Good size portioned rolls with 8 pieces on each roll. They were overwhelmed with customers. But the service was poor and the timely delivery of the rolls was lacking. Otherwise we enjoyed our meal.
15 minutes to get water and another 45 minutes to get 3 rolls. Not great when there are only 7 other tables filled in the place.
Will only be returning to the sushi Zushi on i10 by then med center.
The food was good and tasted fresh. Our server was good but didn’t understand why they have the wait staff making drinks. Seemed inefficient and there should be a bartender making the drinks. Overall good and will be going back
Food was fresh, the drinks were great. Was super close the the hotel we were staying at. Highly recommended.
You can’t be in a hurry - the number of to go orders is tremendous- but the food is crazy good.
Great sushi and food. Subpar service and pretty bad atmosphere. Good meal all in all.
Customers were leaving and telling us not to eat there unless we were willing to wait more than 1.5 hours for our meal
Busy and loud. Sushi took a really long time to come out, but everything was wonderful
Great food and great service definitely will be going again!
Don’t bother making a reservation, the staff doesn’t care about them and will make you wait 30 minutes anyway.
Was looking forward to eating here and ended up walking out instead.
Are you kidding - it’s the best sushi in the world and that’s saying a lot! We love our sushi, we are from Houston and are so sad that they don’t have a Sushi Zushi there!!! So every year when we go to San Antonio for my wife’s Music conference we always, always eat there!!! It’s so yummy, just writing this review makes my mouth water and want some more right now!
If you are a sushi lover and never had the pleasure of putting one of their creative rolls in your mouth, you must!
Food was overall good but we where there for 3 hours for 6 rolls of sushi - it was not that busy and they had 3 or 4 chefs. The waiter was ok at best. Not enthused about this place and won’t return.
Excellent all around! Fantastic service, great atmosphere, and the food was terrific!!! The service was extremely quick, and the waitress checked on us many times!
Highly recommended! Can’t wait to go back!
This place sucks massively. Service is pathetic.
Manager is clueless.
Food is not that good.
First sign that we should have ran was white people making the sushi. Japanese is the best at making sushi and it shows.
Never come back here.
The place was BUSY that night! I made reservations days in advance however, food was great.
La calidad de la comida fue excelente, todo muy rico lo recomiendo mucho
The food was excellent, the service was terrible. My daughter and grandma finished their food before my wife and I got our drinks. I ordered a chicken dish that took 45 minutes to arrive and when it did arrive, it was raw and contained mushrooms (which I asked to be removed). The food was great and it was a great value. Tables around us were also talking about the poor service.
Went an hour before closing and the service was pretty poor. I’m sorry but it doesn’t matter if I am the first or last customer, we should all be treated the same. I ordered two hot rolls and I saw them sitting on the counter a solid 10 minutes before they brought them over. Had them remake them because they were cold. They rushed the remake and barely put any of the main ingredients in. Just rice and the cheap crab, no eel. Manager the roll off of our ticket but that’s not the point.
Excellent sushi! Collonade is a must to order! Cosimo a close second!
Very slow service. Ordered ribeye medium well and got what looked like a well done sirloin.
The sushi was good, no complaints. But it was not spectacular and I think it could’ve been. So if you’re looking for an average sushi place near downtown, this can be a place for you. However there are better choices in town and we probably won’t return to this location. Be aware that it has a very small dining room.
Loved food very helpful waiter good suggestions it was great!!!!!!!
We love sushi and this place was perfect!! Great sushi and best service ever!!
Service was friendly, food was great, and they even gave us a surprise for our anniversary. Great dinner!
Excellent sushi. Service excellent. Great sake choices
We were visiting from out of town and worked our way downtown for sushi. Parking is not readily available but I believe it would be a great option if you're already in the area. The sushi was tasty and fresh. Overall, we have a good experience.
Best sushi in SA hands down. Good location.
The food is really good !!
The service is not what you expect.
The place could be better designed it looks like an ordinary restaurant.
Could have a better design.
I wanted to get there earlier and try to change my booking and I could not, when I arrived there anly 2 tacked were taken and one was mine.
We sat there for one and a gal hours and the place remained the same only 2 tables!! So why the buzz about reserving ????
Staff was friendly. The cucumber saketini is a must! Sushi was fresh and excellent. It was a great meal and will definitely go back
They are not experienced staff .poor selections. Had to walk out before ordering
Horrible experience. Waited over 45 min Didn’t receive food. Server was rude.
We have been Sushi Zushi Rewards members for years and this was the first time that our order came out incorrect. We also waited almost an hour for a refresh on our drinks. Needless to say I am unsure we will ever be back.
We went to a different Sushi Zushi restaurant last year during our annual girl’s trip and it was just stellar as we remembered. Sushi Zushi was a “must-do” on our list this trip and DEFINITELY did not disappoint! Cosimo Roll for the win!!
The specialty rolls and the drinks were great.
Went to this restaurant because one of the few I could get a reservation at before the Final 4 Championship game on Monday night. Should have known why.
The food itself was okay--- tough to mess up Fried Rice and the Sashimi was good although could have been colder. My son ordered chocolate cake for dessert and it was subpar.
Biggest problem was after the meal using the men's room-- this was absolutely disgusting and looked like it had not been cleaned in days-- if the men's room looked like that it always makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like.
For these reasons, this will be a one and done!
LRI roll was amazing! Great food-we’d go again
If you are low carb, I recommend the sashimi platter and River Walk Roll. Both were superb!
Very Good Sashimi, Sushi, Sake + Service!
Easy to see why this place is so popular. Nice modern atmosphere, fast and friendly service, very reasonably priced and the fish tastes fresh. They ask if you want thick or thin sliced sashimi - we opted for thick and it was perfect. Highly recommend. Wish there was one in Chicago!
