Sushi Zushi - Colonnade Ratings and Reviews
My sushi had a very strong smell and I showed the waiter and she took it to the back and she informed me that they told her it was spoiled and appologized for it all. I was disgusted as this has never happened to me before when visiting and eating In the restaurant.
Good food and good service. Unfortunately the tables are so close together that conversation is difficult especially when the next table has a loud know it all bully holding forth. Ambiance was better when she left
We both had the
Chirashi and enjoyed it and would recommend it.
It was fir my birthday it was just my husband and my daughter we have been eating sushi fir years and my husband had never been here yet he doesn’t like to try new places lol he loved it. We will be back for sure. Your restaurant offers items that other places do not that’s what I love.
We arrived early to try out the Restaurant Week menu. Not crowded came before 6pm reservation. We were seated promptly and our waiter Roel was 1 week on the job. He wasn't familiar with the Restaurant Week menu and wasn't sure about the drinks on the drink menu either. Despite that, he was polite and was attentive to our needs- whether it was for more water, extra plates, or napkins. When we received our food. It was subpar. We had the shrimp teppanyaki meal which was salty and did not come with rice. Rice was extra. The miso soup was watered down and bland. The combination sushi platter did not seem like it was worth $35- my choice of roll was the California roll. The dessert was the Krakatoa and the banana maki was ok. The salad that came with the meal was drowned in ginger dressing. Was expecting a more fabulous meal but got average. We had brought our 3 yr old. They did have high chairs but did not have a changing table
in the women's restroom.
I went here after work with a colleague as it was close by and heard had good sushi. We arrived and we were able to sit right now and the waitress was right there with a smile. We ordered an appetizer which was very tasty, and three rolls all good (although the 'San Antonio' roll was my least favorite of the three as there was a lot of onion). The other two rolls were really good and spicy - short term memory has prevented me from remembering except one was salmon and the other crawfish. overall excellent and I will be going back. Finally, want to put another plug in for the waitress. She rocked!
My wife and I enjoyed our time at Sushi Zushi. Even though they did not have a table reserved for us even though we had reserved one, there was a table available in the back, so we took that one and have a lovely meal. Their rolls were delicious, and the mochi ice cream were not very sweet and delicious. Perfect way to end a spicy sushi roll meal. I recommend this place.
Went to celebrate Mother's Day with daughter, didn't know at first what restaurant would be appropriate for the occasion. We both decided on a sushi lunch so immediately I thought of Sushi-Zushi since it is right here in our neighborhood.
We were both very satisfied with the various menu choices, great ambiance, service and a " delicious meal".
We will be returning often to experience other items on the menu.
my wife and i like to come here and eat often and bring our kids too. the food is always great and wait time on food is reasonable. As for service, it varies, sometimes we get a great waiter/waitress, and there's times when we are waiting on drinks, refills or just waiting ready to order.
We were pleasantly surprised for a chain restaurant. The ambiance is modern yet comfortable. Deep menu selection good with "real" Japanese items included. The food was good, although they brought a spoon with the miso soup (I guess you just can't get away from that in Texas). Service was great with knowledgeable wait staff. The only issue is they nickel-and-dime you by charging you for the tea, rice, and even for a little side of red pickles that should be standard with curry rice. Once you tally it all up, it comes up over-priced. For Japanese food, I would prefer to go to Godai or Fujiya close by.
I love the neighborhood feel this place has. It is small but cozy. The meu at this place is overwhelming, definitey over 100 items! Our waitress provided some excedllent suggestions and was very interactive with our group. Everyone at the table enjoyed their rolls. Some highlights include: cosimo, godzilla, the b&g, torreado. The only complaint the table agreed on pertained to our cocktails. The cocktails were heavy on soda and fruit juice and very light on the alcohol. However, we would definitely go back to tackle the huge menu!
