We serve various kinds of fish. They are all carefully chosen from the fish market each morning. All fish are sliced in traditional style that preserves the original flavor and texture. Our executive chef overseen every dish. From choosing the rice and seaweed to the decoration of plate, each dish is the demonstration of our dedications to customers. We strive for the recognition as a customer-oriented restaurant through our delicious food, enthusiastic services and serenading environment. Indoor dining only but tables were well spaced and air filters in plain view. Sushi was first-rate, as good as ever.
Love this restaurant. They need to step up their game keeping the place clean and clutter free. We were sat next to a stack of beer cases, which really detracted from the experience. Also, it would help if they painted the place.
Omakase here is so delicious, and the tuna avocado appetizer is a must!

We decided to take out and what a treat! We ordered one sushi lunch for $16.00 and another three roll combination for $20.00- we ordered yellowtail, tuna, salmon with avocado and salmon skin rolls...the meal was delicious and is now going to become to "go to" sushi restaurant. Highly recommend it.
Happy to have an excellent and relaxed environment for our first indoor dining experience. It was so nice to have a relaxed staff versus the other local establishments where they are so uptight even with all the Covid restrictions in place and being outside. Sushi Asaka was safe with protection and relaxed which made for a much more peaceful and trusting experience.
Thank you for making my wife's birthday dinner so enjoyable in the face of the safety measures you have put in. It was a real pleasure!

This sushi restaurant is one of the best values for the quality of their sushi, The sushi is fresh and very high quality. The appetizers are delicious and the menu is varied. I would whole-heartedly recommend Sushi Yasaka to anyone looking for a great sushi restaurant on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
It was awesome!
Great food. We had Usuzukuri, sashimi combo, and nigiri combo, as well as sake and one other appetizer (mushrooms). Fish was all fresh and delicious. Service was good enough, too. The price was very reasonable. We'll definitely go back when we're in NY again.
Almost same quality and taste in Japan. If you prefer authentic sushi, Yasaka is the place to come.

High quality sushi, but crowded, noisy, dark, and not particularly friendly.
It was my girlfriend’s bday and the food and service was great! Our waiter really helped us choose the best sushi that fits our liking. I will recommend this place to all friends and family!
The quality of the fish is SO good there. You need to book though to get a table (and even if you book be a bit patient)
