Great sushi in NYC as Gari makes both innovative fare and classic dishes.
The best sushi I ever!
Fantastic high end sushi. Some of the best I've ever had.
it was awful. I found a hair from the sushi. I will never visit agin
The sushi was not good, the sauces on every piece was very overwhelming. Somehow we were not offered the menu - our service simply asked if we wanted to do the omakase, which does not include any appetizers before the sushi pieces. After we received our first few pieces, we realized that there were no appraisers and awkwardly asked for the menu and ordered.
Awesome. It always is
Service was too rushed and hurried
We had the omakase and it seemed a completely average dining experience, too expensive for the taste
Excellent food. My husband ordered the Gari Special and liked it more than Nakazawa. I had the sashimi dinner, which was very fine. Looking forward to visiting again.
Exquisite Omakase experience. The food was delicious but I’d say served too quickly and the wait staff was a little pushy but we did love it.
Superb, creative sushi. The “tuna of Gari” was out of this world terrific. Attentive, cheerful service.
Excellent as always. Delicious choices, the chef accommodated our special request. Loved it.
The cold draft from the entry door needs to be remedied. And, of course, it's very expensive -- but worth it. Nothing like it in New York!
Every piece was super fresh and very creative. The flavors were amazing !! Very good service and super fast
It was for casual lunch with my wife. Everything was really authentic and the fish was really fresh and tasty. Gari, green tea, vinegar, rice, presentation of all the meals, etc...every single detail was truly authentic. If you’d like to try very genuine Japanese Sushi at a relatively reasonable price, this is definitely a go-to place.
