   Sushi Nakazawa is the BEST sushi experience in New York City - bar none! The service is gracious. The sushi is fresh, delicious, and changes to reflect the seasons. The sake menu is extensive. We have never been disappointed. Each experience is unique, yet familiar. OUTSTANDING and FABULOUS! Can't wait to return.

   If you can’t get sushi bar don’t bother. Eaten at the sushi bar and thought dining room would be as good. Didn’t taste as fresh and usually the rice was cold. Definitely won’t be coming back

   I've never had a luxury omakase experience before. The overall service was wonderful and professional. Maybe the servers can say the description just a bit slower to understand more clearly. I think the nigiri was a bit warmer... but maybe it was meant to be like that. But I absolutely love the combination of different fish with different sauces!

    They rushed us through our omakase dinner and the sushi was nothing special! We had a late reservation and we were the only people on the dining room and they couldn’t wait to get us out of there after we ordered go great bottles of wine!!

    This isn’t really sushi. Unbalanced taste for each piece. Jiro will walk straight out of the restaurant if he just had a bite. Was really disappointed. I would recommend sushi lovers to skip this place or you’ll just be wasting your time! To be fair, the service staff was excellent!

    Located on a beautiful small street. Space is simple, but beautifully laid out and elegant. Fish was wonderful. Black truffles on the wagyu worth the slight up charge. Sommelier was a disaster. I have never been so poorly treated by any person at any restaurant. Ever. So much so that almost went back to the restaurant to complain to the owners. He should be fired. Honestly it was shocking. Otherwise a wonderful experience.

    It is absolutely an amazing experience for a foodie couple. Service was exquisite and sushi rice was perfectly seasoned. Sorbet was an excellent ending of the omakase.

    The dining room at Nakazawa was nice. My wife and I had the tasting menu, and they prepared hers in a gluten free form, which required some substitutions. Each 2-4 piece course came out quickly and with good explanation and suggestions for properly consuming. We also ordered green tea, and the server was quite knowledgeable and made good recommendations. It was exactly the sushi experience we had hoped for.

    back after 2 years having lost and regained its one star. ambience is quite plain, crowd is on the young and quite ill dressed side, but quiet and able to have a conversation. sake list extensive and reasonably priced. wine list, however, heavy on the very much overpriced white burgundies. service is excellent if a bit difficult to understand at times as the explanations seemed rushed. omekase sushi however was to die for. favorite was a salmon with touch of wasabi. you can easily cut back a bit on the price if you do as the Japanese do and drink tea or beer. overall, we would come back even though the cab fare from the UES is unreal. probably good for a first date given the tempo and noise lever

    We honestly felt in a place that was very exclusive! The experience was out of this world. Worth every dollar and we are definitely going back! We went for my wife’s birthday and I promise you the whole staff knew about her birthday and they honestly made her feel very special. It was hard to get the reservation so I had a friend that knew the manager and got us the reservation. Honestly it was just overall epic! Highly recommend

    Opted for the 9 course tasting menu. Each nigiri course had at least 2-4 pieces so it definitely added up; we were so full! The specials included sturgeon caviar, monkfish liver (tasted like foie gras), and A5 Miyazaki wagyu. Highly recommend this for a special occasion. Would absolutely return for another visit.

    An excellent occasion to dine in such a famous restaurant served by chef Nakazawa the service is of Michelin stars before and during the service. The dishes are prepared one by one according to the taste the freshness and the visualization of objects. We seem to have travelled within a deep sea universe where we could eat what we could in a sea navigator cabin.... amazing. Should eat once or more in our short life as compared to the age of the galaxy
