Love this place. Great food, excellent and friendly service.
Excellent food and service as always.
So I have been to Sushi Lounge in Hoboken probably 15 times in the past 10 years. Saturday was my first time there in about a year. They were not busy but “our waitress was.” I had to find another waiter/waitress three times because she was busy chatting with the bartender. And the sushi overall was good...and this was upsetting because it used to be great. It was also kind of just thrown on my table and they didn’t even tell us which roll was which being that we ordered 5 rolls and they always used to do that and most places do it as well. Anyway I hope it was a bad experience this time however I could also tell there was no management on site and they just wanted us out
Love this place in the daytime but not when Sushi Lounge becomes Sushi CLUB after 6pm. Music was too loud for talking to a date (maybe a good thing? Good sushi and service though.
Really great sushi, many of the specialty rolls are delicious. Friendly service.
Wonderful get together with friends over sushi. Great people watching location for outdoor seating, the service was good and friendly and most importantly the sushi was fresh and creative. Prices a touch high but overall worth it.
The sushi is excellent here. Everything was delicious. It was very loud music on Friday night. A little dark.
They should just stick to sushi and maybe other Japanese items. The various Thai items were borderline awful.
Food is great and love the variety of the menu. Good drinks too.
Great place. The food is excellent quality and the service was terrific. The only criticism we had was the music was too loud. We were seated upstairs and close to the speaker. We sat across each other SCREAMING to hear each other. But besides that a great place.
One of my favorite restaurants!! They never disappoint. I have eaten at all of their locations, and they are all amazing!
Very fun place to go for some rather tasty sushi and great cocktails. The parking for this place was rather tricky because of its location. If you are not opposed to paying, there is a convenient garage. Otherwise, it is difficult. Service was very attentive and the food was very good. Definitely will check out the bar the next time we go.
Excellent food, the restaurant is cozy and the service is great! The music is too loud for me, but the rest is perfect.
Great sushi and good service
I come here all the time and love the unique dishes and ambiance. A real lounge experience with sushi. Nowhere around compares! Try the lychee martini!
Food was bland and there was no presentation. It was boring at best.
Very good music, very inexpensive options. Would definitely revisit.
Good sushi and drinks!
Went to Sushi lounge for Restaurant Week, great atmosphere and servers were very friendly. We had the crispy rice cakes as appetizers which were amazing as well as the rest of the dinner. Will definitely be back!
Sushie lounge never disappoints. Food was great and the staff was awesome
Food, service, everything was wonderful. I took my parents on a friday night and they're pretty picky so I worried a bit, but they were blown away. Definitely a great go to.
Sushi was overpriced and not fresh and terribly rolled.
Worst pad Thai I have ever eaten but the server did forewarn me it wasn't traditional pad Thai. Way too much fish sauce it was disgusting.
Good sushi, good service, good hours, good value! 2nd NYE here. Will come again
Great atmosphere and most importantly Sushi!
Sushi is very good, and I am picky. LOL. Cocktails were made well, and service was great too.
nothing special - slightly above average sushi spot but great value relative to other options out there
Food and service was great but the restaurant itself could use an update. Duct taped seats grossed me out.
I love Sushi Lounge! Such good sushi, the service is fast and attentive, and it’s a nice place.
great as usual, our server was awesome and very personable!
Always a great meal with great service here. Some very creative special rolls as well!
been to Sushi Lounge many times, the waitress this time was new and sitting back not doing her job playing on her cel phone. overall it ruined the experience this time
Not great fish.
Megan was such a great waitress! Also, the rolls were amazing - definitely better than other sushi places in Hoboken. I’ll be back!
Fast quality service. Really good selection of sushi rolls. Good location close to the water with outdoor seating. Will dine here again. Special rolls are not doused in sauce like some other places (at least not the ones I had)
It was great. Not out of this world. But very good. Glad I went. Would go back.
Great place in Hoboken for sushi
The food was absolutely amazing and so was the service.
I hadn’t been to Sushi Lounge in years—unfortunately it’s just not as good as it used to be. The waitstaff are very nice and helpful. And the drinks are good too! But the food is just okay. Thankfully, everything else made up for the lackluster food.
Honestly, I never leave reviews for these things—what I think generally maps onto what others have said before me. But this place was downright awful. First off, our waitress was being trained as she waited on us, which is ordinarily fine; but whoever was training her neglected to remember that she was, in fact, actually waiting on people, and consequently her back was turned to us the entire time as we tried to flag her for drink refills, napkins, etc.
And the food—in Hoboken girl parlance, I can't. I've had better sushi from Shop Rite. There were two tiny pieces of fish in each slice of the roll; the rice wasn't at all sticky, if there was any in there; I literally couldn't even tell you what the sauces were (two of the three were supposed to be on the roll, and one on the side; all three were served on the side, and one tasted weirdly like salsa); and my friend, who ordered the tofu, was greeted with four literal bricks of the stuff, fresh out of the package and fried as-is.
The ambience was insanely bro-ey, and at one point, the music was so loud that, even though it was early-bird hour on a Wednesday night, and there were only four other parties in the restaurant, I literally had to shout across the table.
Do yourself a favor, and go get Indian food at Matt & Meera. Somebody needs to smack a 'do not resuscitate' order on this place.
Always great food!
