Sushiko - Chevy Chase
I came here for valentines day and the food was amazing and the staff was very polite and friendly. I would definitely recommend Sushiko.
Wonderful cooked dishes in addition to sashimi! We had the ankimo (off menu), pork bunn, chicken dumplings, and egg drop soup. Totally delicious.
I’ve been to sushiko many times - and have always been of the opinion that their sushi is a cut above. It’s typically fresh, well prepared and presented in a wonderful and beautiful way. My experience last night was notably different. The sushi was ok - but only ok. It was just like the average sushi I get in so many other places. Disappointed. Service and ambiance are very nice.
Had the Bento box which is enough food to tide one over til suppertime...great price/value.
A true neighborhood gem. Inventive and delicious food. Service is amazing
Our server, Diana, was a gem. And the sushi was amazing. We tried the "tuna 6 ways," and I have never tasted fish so fresh and tender. It absolutely melted in our mouths. The sushi specials--hamachi from Spain and salmon from New Zealand--were excellent. The chicken gyoza (dumplings) were excellent as well. All in all, a spectacular experience!
Dinner with friends
Great service. Very responsive to allergens.
Every time we come back to Sushiko we have an amazing meal. Not only is the food delicious but the attention to detail in how the food is prepared is wonderful. And while everyone who works there is kind, attentive and provides wonderful service, my family asks to sit in Jason’s section if possible because he gets to know his patrons. He remembers us from visit to visit and at one point he brought our drink orders to the table right after we sat down (remembering from the previous visits). He adds to the enjoyment of our dining experience. We will happily return and recommend this restaurant highly
Okonomi 30$ was only 6 pieces.
If you go there to fill you stomach with sushi, don't go.
The sushi was wonderful, as expected. We were, however, surprised at how limited their sushi selection has become.
The sushi was not as good as it has been. Excellent service still.
Great food. Definitely try the hot rock and salmon ceviche!
Service was ok. Seemed hurried and when we asked for a dish we ordered to be cancelled (right in a minute after ordering) we were declined.
Not the best, other sushi places have better food and service in the area.
A great lunch with friends, with great food and unbelievable service. The best restaurant is the one where you only have to ask for the check, and Sushiko delivered!
Great food. Excellent and knowledgeable service.
Our server, Amy, was super attentive and informative. She gave us great recommendations for her favorite dishes and favorite sake and none of it disappointed. Delicious, fresh food. Tasty cocktails. Great atmosphere.
One of the best for restaurant week. everyone's happy to see you and the food is wonderful.
Amy was our server and she was super kind and attentive. The food was fresh and delish and the ambience was great.
The food there is okay, was not really surprised with restaurant week menu, won't recommend it to any friend...
have gone to the restaurant many times...always pleasant.
People don’t come to sushi place to eat tasteless shrimp as part of the chef choice. Please replace it with another moderate priced fish like flounder.
Meal was pretty good, and great value for restaurant week menu. The area we were seated did not have a great ambiance and the service was not great in that room. Very disappointed with the tuna as it was lackluster. The rest of the food was excellent.
Even though they are a $$$ restaurant in Chevy Chase, I cannot say RW deal is good. What I had was basically sushi sashimi combo with soup, which can be offered $18 in regular menu. So why bother?
Wonderful cooked dishes -- we didn't even have sashimi this time. Desserts are outstanding as well.
As always, Sushiko delivered a delicious, creative, well-presented Japanese dinner. You will be hard pressed to find fresher, higher quality sushi in the DC area. Pricey, but if you feel like splurging, you wont be disappointed. Recommend the Element Roll and the chef’s special sashimi.
There are several good sushi restaurants in the Washington DC area but Sushiko has been our first choice for some time, now. The sushi is fresh and of the highest quality, as you might expect, and there is always a generous selection of special items to offer a sense of variety, even to regular customers like us. Service is outstanding but subtle--there is never a rushed feeling about a meal here. The place never disappoints.
The best sushi in MD area hands down, been going for years food is amazing !
We were very disappointed and would have appreciated being asked if we would like to be seated in the kids' room, or given another choice, especially because we had made reservations.
We had the tasting menu but mentioned we wanted to see a movie afterward. Our server was able to time the meal perfectly and checked back to make sure we didn't feel rushed.
Best sushi I’ve ever had!
Excellent, high quality sushi with numerous preparation options. Highly recommend.
Sushiko has some of the freshest and most artfully prepared fish in the DC area. Usually I have one of their delicious soups (the mushroom is particularly delicious), crudo, and/or sashimi or nigiri, but there are a host of other choices. Most recently I had the omakase sashimi, a pristine assortment served with fresh wasabi. There is a good variety of saki as well as some nice house cocktails which change regularly.
Sushi Ko is the best restaurant in the area! From the fresh food to the amazing team of people who manage and serve, the experience is first class!!
Tha waitress was very helpful in suggesting dishes and was very nice. The service and food was outstanding, we will definitely come again!
We had amber fish sashimi, sushi, seaweed salad, dessert and more. Everything was delicious, with the ribs absolutely amazing.
It was a wonderful family date dinner night. All the kids enjoyed all the food and the suggestions were delicious.
As usual excellent. A couple of small things went off. The waiter brought the various dishes in the wrong order. One of our party ordered Udon soup as a main course. It came before the small dishes.
The seaweed soup had no seaweed - just mixed greens. The small print on the menu indicated same so I cannot complain but still ....
But the rest was superb in taste, appearances and presentation.
