Sushi Damo

Clean, fresh sushi every time. I live down the block and have been going here for years. So glad they were able to open up after lockdown. Service is always fantastic. I will keep going back!

As always, food is delicious and rolls are just the perfect amount of rice and fish. Sushi Damo is a go to for our family. But please bring back the udon stir fried noodles! I can't believe they took that off the menu and my 8 year old son was just as devastated.

We had reserved a reservation and showed up on time to find out that they had given our table away a couple of minutes before. Then the hostess was rude to us (instead of being apologetic). Very disappointed with the hostess’s behavior that night as we love this restaurant and is our go to for sushi.

Enjoyed Sushi Damo as a pre-theater treat! Very good sushi, well made cocktails, and delicious sake.

The menu has become much too limited and the prices too high.

I have been a few times and have never been disappointed. This time I tried the Hot Pot which was delicious and enough to get me through the rest of the busy day

While the food quality is good the portions of sushi and rolls are very tiny. Couple that would horrid, unfriendly service and it’s my last time going.

Food was great. Sushi was very fresh. Had to wait for a waiter but when we got him he was great. Had to ask for water to be refilled three times. Otherwise everything was great would absolutely go back

I’m probably their best customer but they just cut the menu and raised the prices. Very disappointing.

Nothing too fancy, but good sushi and reasonable for NYC.
We were happy to be able to get a table and enjoyed a nice meal.

The problem for me was that I made a reservation and it was confirmed but I get there few minutes early and they tell they are already closed. After I got there , it felt wrong to confirm a reservation when they weren’t even going to be opened.

The service was excellent; the sushi was fresh and served elegantly. The noise level was very low, which was so appreciated. I'd recommend this to anyone who appreciates good Japanese food.

The miso soup was excellent - full bodied and flavorful. The sashimi and sushi were not as good as we had remembered from several months ago. The service was good.

It is weird being served by a non Asian waiter. I bought a Japanese date and she said it was not real sushi. It was over priced
