   Great food and drinks. The menu choices were excellent. There were many options to satisfy everyone at the table. However, we seemed very rushed which was not necessary as it was a Sunday night and the restaurant was not crowded.

   Absolutely wonderful meal. The sake don was delicious, with excellent quality salmon. Service is always very friendly and attentive...and the ambience very comfy. Great place for a date. We love this place!

   Promptly seated for our reservation. Service was very professional, but felt a bit rushed into ordering once we were seated. Delicious appetizers: sea bass tempura, soft shell crab, shishito peppers. Nigiri sushi was very fresh. Great choice of specialty rolls.

   What a gem! This place bowled us over with reasonable prices; beautiful, lush decor; delish food; and great service. We were looking for a place near Carnegie Hall so we were on a tight schedule. They got us in and got us out within an hour. But in between we experienced a fabulous meal with responsive service. One of the best bowls of ramen I've ever had! My friend had sushi that was so fresh she said they must receive a shipment every day. We'll definitely be back!

    The food was good but I had basic items - California roll and Chicken Teryaki. The teryaki sauce was delicious. Also delicious were the Shishito peppers as the appetizer. Our waitress was outstanding and very attentive without being intrusive.

    The food was absolutely delicious and came out in a timely fashion. And my simple requests for sashimi to be sliced thinner than normal weren't a problem at all. We will return many more times.

    Good food and very nice service makes this place a go-to spot in this area. The waiters catered to our cares and needs with real concern and made suggestions for substitutes for items we were unable to use. The food was very good and very reasonably priced for this area of town.

    I've been to Sushi Damo numerous times and it's one of my favorite sushi restaurants. The staff are very courteous and polite. The cocktails are quite good and I've often come with friends just for cocktails and appetizers. Their sushi is always fresh and they make some delicious speciality rolls. Will always return and come back!

    Consistently high quality food and friendly staff—we enjoy dining here regularly. Favorites include sake don —delicious, generous serving of salmon sashimi on incredibly flavorful sushi rice—also, oshitashi, shumai, and gyoza as well as a variety of sushi rolls are wonderful.

    I have been here several times now with my friend. We love sushi and this is one of the best places in the city. Great variety on sushi and good cocktails. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Even though the tables are small it works because they remove everything right away that’s not needed

    It was our anniversary dinner and our server imposed a very rushed and honestly somewhat disrespectful attitude. Her affect was a major bummer and huge negative point for this dining experience. The food was delicious though! All in all, it was pretty darn ok!

    The quality of the food was excellent. The service was a little bit pushy towards the end of the dinner (9:30pm) to get us out because they wanted to close the restaurant.

    We will walk past 1/2 dozen other sushi places to go to Sushi Damo. Tried their udon soup for the first time and it was excellent. Only problem is that more people are finding the place.

    One more time eating here, one more great experience! Sashimi selections were vast and fresh, well cut and finely presented. Service was also great as usual, our waiter was polite and knowledgeable about the food and sake. Sake selection was reasonable, both in terms of the number of choices and the price. In all, I had a good time eating here; and I would definitely recommend Sushi Damo to anyone interested in fresh sashimi/sushi.
