Made a reservation on Open Table for 12pm. We got to the restaurant, and they actually didn’t open until 1pm. We found somewhere else nearby to eat.
All the sushi was amazing. BOGO sushi here is the best offer Raleigh has to offer.
I made a reservation for 12 PM on Sunday for an important lunch with a special guest. Only to arrive and see they do not open until 1 PM on Sundays. Pretty embarrassing, good thing we were finally able to find another restaurant without a wait. Lunch ended up being phenomenal. Why would they accept a Reservation at a time they are not open? I made the reservation over a week in advance so there was time for them to see it and call to let me know.
birthday dinner for my bf.. great service Claire was our server and the manager Mark helped accommodate us perfectly very last minute. Overall great experience and the food was great like always
Wouldn’t recommend this place and won’t ever come back. It’s unfortunate for the restaurant the food is good and I used to love this place but the service was the worst. It seems that they can’t get their employees to show up so I guess this is a management issue. Highly do not recommend coming here unless you want to have a night out ruined. Really wish I had gone somewhere else or at least left after the edamame took 35 minutes. Rest In Peace sushi blues!
Although they were very busy and understaffed, the waitress was very attentive and the entire staff were in it.
Great food, and service! Quickly sat us with our reservation and got a table outside on a beautiful night. Great experience
Went on a saturday so it was very busy and waited 1.5 for food, but had a nice table outside
Great sushi and great service. So good for the value!!!
We love our date nights at Sushi Blues. The sushi is always great and the variety is always exciting. We love the BoGo! Great service and atmosphere.
Bogo sushi, great quality for bogo. Large rolls that taste great!
Call the service was pretty slow for a 530 reservation. Call the first course was edamame and it tasted as if they left it in the steamer way too long. Did not have a bite it was just mushy.
We ordered four specialty rolls. Call one was a bourbon oyster roll another was a flash fried scallop roll and I can’t remember the other two. It seemed like the fried rolls had been fried in oil that hasn’t been changed in many days. Sushi is supposed to be bright and flavorful and taste all the different ingredients. However sushi blues is very bland the rolls taste the same and can’t taste any difference in the flavors. Extremely disappointed and their quality is lower than Harris Teeter sushi. we took one bite of our roles and sent them back and just paid for the edamame and left.
We immediately went over to Oku sushi where everything is so fresh and flavorful. Ambience is about the only thing sushi blues has going for it anymore. I don’t know if it’s because of Covid or what but won’t go back.
We went to celebrate my sons 16th birthday. We had to wait a long time just to have our order taken, waited longer for food and when it came out it was wrong. When we told the waiter, they seemed to be frustrated with us. When it did finally come out correct, it was delicious.
Only real disappointment was amount of fish in the rolls
They just never disappoint. The rolls were all awesome and the waiter was very attentive but not overbearing. Went for my wife’s birthday and she thoroughly enjoyed it.
Service was great, friendly. Sushi was delicious!
My girlfriend and I had a great experience there! For how busy Raleigh is on Sunday around lunch, it was easy to find parking and we were able to get right in to our seats. The servers are very helpful in suggesting menu and drinks options and are very welcoming. Overall it’s a great place to relax and get some drinks and sushi!
It was good. Service was excellent, atmosphere was very great: we sat outside - the weather was great and we really liked the atmosphere with dogs and people having a nice time. Food was good, Nothing wrong with it but I’ve had better, we got bogo, but even with that it felt that I paid a bit more in total. I’d still go back and do recommend it.
Great food, and our waitress made sure we always had our sauces and water!
Girls night out! Such a great spot to get together
Usually love SB. Tonight was disappointing. There was a miscommunication about which server was taking care of our table so after 15 minutes I waved someone over. They seemed aggravated when I asked him which server would be taking our order. Another server then came over and asked what we needed when we just wanted to place our order. And then another server came over. Totally understand that things happen but we didn’t need the whole backstory as to why the miscommunication happened. We just wanted to order.
This is the Best place in Raleigh to eat sushi! The other seating on Glenwood south can’t be beat
Great place to eat out with friends, we had amazing service and experience!
Restaurant lost it’s prime. Environment and space are stale and dirty. Glass door to interior of restaurant is sticky and full of prints.
Good wasn’t that great. Disappointed first visit.
One of the worst dining out experiences of my lifetime. Had the most horrible service. And the manager had the audacity to tell us that we were being rude and called our server stupid. Which never happened.
Sushi Blues is my go-to spot for sushi. The sushi is always fresh and tasty. Depending on how busy it is the wait can sometimes take a while, but this time our food came out very quickly. Only note I would have is that wait staff kind of jumped the gun with bringing the check out…they didn’t even ask if we wanted another drink or dessert so it sort or felt like we were being rushed to leave.
A friend took me to dinner for my birthday. I love the ambiance and vibe at the Blues. I am a frequent visitor at SB’s and I love it. 74/83 and Bradley Chubb for me. Alim the dream was good too.
A great sushi joint with a lot of good vegetarian options!
Sushi was tasty, service was attentive, atmosphere was great
I should have read the reviews and not just looked at the ratings. Wow! The last several reviews were on point. The drink selection was awesome and the drinks were well made, but that was the end of our good experience.
It took over 20 minutes just to see our waitress and to get water. Once we got water, we ordered drinks and some edamame. This took another 20 minutes. Our waitress then came back to take our food order. The order was placed. My husband ordered two kinds of sushi and I ordered teriyaki steak. Forty-five minutes later our food arrived. My steak was room temperature although my rice was nice and hot. His sushi was average. Another 20 minutes before we saw our waitress again so I chose to just ask for a box at that point. It took forever to get the box, our final bill, and our card back. Our total experience took over 2 and a half hours!
We will not be back and if you choose to go just be ready to wait and wait and wait.
The outdoor seating was great as was the guitarist.
Our server Asia was great. Reservations got us seated immediately which was awesome.
Great food and service and one of the best values in Downtown Raleigh.
Great service, sushi and apps at a great price. Wide drink selection, will definitely be back
Having once owned my own restaurant, I hate to give a bad review. Server was friendly, beer was cold, cocktail was strong and good. Everything else was terrible. Sushi left an aftertaste in everyone's mouth. Worst sushi I have ever eaten. 55 minutes from time of order until food arrived. Asked manager to check on out order and he never came back to the table. If offered for free would not return.
We waited like an hour just for someone to take our order. The food was ok, but definitely not worth the waiting we had to do. We kept having to ask random people for drink orders or refills. Still left a tip, but honestly should have been split between the hostess, bartender, and waitress bc she did stop by once.
Unfortunately their open table is not up-to-date and that means my mother's day plans were completely in shambles. I made this booking a while ago and I show up and there's a paper sign on the door stating they won't be open till 12. No where else had a table. Very disappointed.
I got to the restaurant at my reservation time and was told that they didn't open until 12. The person I spoke to didn't offer to reschedule my reservation, and closed the door while we still looked stunned.
Really enjoyed the outdoor seating. Food was great and service was fast
Great evening out. Sat out on the patio and really enjoyed the beautiful weather. Loved the Bogo vegetarian sushi. They really have a lot to choose from and there were many tasty options. Ordered the Lychee Mojito and it was absolutely delicious. Will definitely go back.
Great date night spot, bogo sushi, everything tasted great! Drinks and food were good and priced well for what you get.
