I came here before for lunch during the weekday and food and service was excellent. We came back during the weekend and the service was slow. Our orders came out wrong and there seemed to be a lot of mixup. We brought guest for a brunch so needless to say, we will never come back.
Excellent service. Excellent food. I need at least 50 letters so here you go. Food!
Fruit flies were flying around my food.
I really wanted to love this place. I lived in Japan for 4 years and miss the food terribly. When I walked in I was overjoyed with the authenticity of the place. I could not wait to get the food into my mouth. Unfortunately, the waitress was not great, my beer was initially the wrong beer, and then not cold enough. The food was just meh. The chef was Japanese, but he just didn't seem that into it. It was a slow night....and it was raining. Maybe it was just an off night. But, not sure I will give it another try. Trinity Groves is a bit of a haul for me.
It was wonderful .
What a wonderful experience with delicious food! Sushi Bayashi never disappoints!
The location is great as it's at Trinity Grove. The sushi on the regular menu was overpriced compared to most other Dallas sushi establishments.
Trinity Grove area is a nice place to vibe out for date night or group of friends. Great views and good spots to wine and dine. We've been wanting to try Sushi Bayashi due to the sake menu and sushi menu. We had reservations on Friday night and was seated quickly. But took 30 mins to order 2 Leche SakeRitas and Salmon tower(which both tasted amazing). After that our waitress was nowhere to be found. So after 45 mins or so I literally went inside to find her and order another round and advised that we're ready to order dinner. 30 mins later another waitress asked if we're okay in which we was not. We asked to talk to the manager and another 30 mins passed. We sat at 8 and didn't leave until 1020 without eating dinner. Not to mention the waitress actually brought the drinks I requested 45 mins ago after we asked to talk to the manager and said we can have the drinks for free but once I told her I need this entire order for free due to inconvenience and. As service she took the drinks back. Never again. The place has great potential and maybe great food but we will not be returning. Bad service and they need to figure out how to manage their tables. Good luck!
Worst service ever. No wonder it was empty! Sad because the food was great, and big portions. But the horrible service ruined all of that.
Food is some of the best sushi ever, very creative and on point. The service however was really slow and inattentive.
Nothing too special. Food was pretty good but service was slooooooowwww.
We had a great time. The food was good as always. The guacamole crunchy roll is the best roll they have. The Tako Katsu Croquettes is a terrific appetizer.
We were celebrating a birthday...they gave the 3 of us a complementary dessert. It was very nice.
Would recommend Sushi Bayashi...and will be back...
Even though the menu has a lot to choose from, the specials offered were too good to pass up! Our server was knowledgeable about the menu options and was able to offer recommendations.
We made reservations and sat immediately. Ordered the Spicy Tuna Tower which is a little pricey but completely worth it! Also had shishito peppers and the California roll. More than enough food for 2 people. Will definitely be back!
Not at all what we expected. Very sparse decor, no frills sort of feel and a little expensive for what we got.
Great food but incredibly inattentive staff. Tons of people working but took 45 minutes to get a drink. Sushi shouldnt be a 2.5 hour meal where we have no idea who our waiter is and couldn't get anyone to stop and help us.
The restaurant wasn't very busy when we arrived for our reservation at 7:30. It took almost 20 minutes before we were even acknowledged. We had to flag down a bussed just to get water. Food took an extremely long time to receive and was mediocre at best. It took almost 2 hours from start to finish, would not return. Horrible service.
The service was terrible for the second time. The food is ok but not worth the pain. Never again.
We went on July 3rd so it was very busy (understand since there was a fireworks show and larger than normal crowd last night). They also seemed understaffed as our waitress was a little slower than we would've liked The food was really good and we enjoyed the Crunchy Roll with Lobster Tempura. This place is by far the most expensive bill we've ever had for sushi, but it was for our 2nd wedding anniversary, so the once-in-awhile splurge didn't bother us. I would recommend coming back when there's not a huge event going on, but be aware of the prices!
Awesome food and great service! A little pricey, but that's expected when the seafood is fresh and prepared well. Will be returning.
Food was good and fish looked and tasted fresh. Service was fast.
Only issue (which was disgusting and the only reason we are not going back nor recommend the place): the person in charge (who also was helping with tables) was all sweaty (dripping from forehead), with a torn dirty shirt, totally ill-looking (like really bad flu).
Great food and loved the outdoor seating but very slow service and waitresses are hard to grab..
The food was great! However, the service was terrible. The waitress seemed off and frequently forgot things we asked for (eel sauce, salt, and their appetizer chips). The sushi chef was attempting to help her out since he could tell it was upsetting. The overall experience was amazing, minus the service!
The food was ok, the cost was way too much for the quality of the food in my opinion. I've had better sushi at Kona Grill and Gui.
Service was terrible. Food was bad. I ordered seafood fried rice and the shrimp and scallops were raw and slightly warm. I had an unpleasant night and next day thanks to that. The atmosphere is nice but everything else was lacking.
Food was good, service was extremely slow. Otherwise, everything was very tasty and fresh.
The patio is large and welcoming. The sushi was delicious as was the yakisoba. The service was rather slow though.
The quality and ambiance of Sushi Bayashi has declined from when it first opened. Our food was mediocre at best and with the increased prices we left feeling like we overpaid for an experience we didn't enjoy very much. The parking situation at Trinity Groves has also become a nightmare.
Service was below average. 10 minutes to get greeted. 20 minutes to get our waters. Place has potential but needs some improvement in service areas and food/drink items.
Our service was terrible and the food came out in uncoordinated stages. No forks. No spoons with the soup. By the time a spoon arrived soup was cold. Drinks not refilled etc etc. we had to get up several times to ask for things that were not brought throughout the entire meal. We were there clearly before the dinner rush so not sure what happened.
Best ramen I've ever had. The pork broth was phenomenal. Their sushi was also really good.
Amazing food and outstanding service! Our favorite sushi place, hands down
I really enjoyed the minimalist "japanese zen" feel of Sushi Bayashi! The food was creative, beautiful and delicious! We will be back!
Delicious food, amazingly friendly server. Loved the decor.
The Edamame was too spicy to be edible so we had to exchange it for regular edamame. It still appeared on the check. The tables felt more like a BBQ restaurant - open and a little loud. The food was average. The highlight was going to Kay Weiser chocolates after dinner.
Our server was very knowledgeable about the cuts of fish they had. He checked up on just enough where when we did need something he was there before we asked, so he was definitely good with the timing. The fish was quite fresh.
Great tuna tower, good sushi, nice experience
When I go back I would make sure I got all premium rolls, as those were much more superior to the basic rolls. The towers are a must. We got the spicy salmon tower and it was superb. And Matthew Dellevadova is the best teammate I've ever had. I'd definitely go back!!
Went there with some friends who were in from out of town. Quiet enough for us to have a good conversation but noisy enough for it to be enjoyable. I loved the food and the atmosphere. Everything was great!
My sushi was very creative, and very tasty. The atmosphere is great. Big like in general.
