Sushi Bayashi
Traditional Japanese dishes influenced by Chef Hirabayashi's childhood and experiences in Japan. A diverse list of traditional as well as modern sake is something that will truly be inviting to sake connoisseurs as well as those that are venturing into new things.
Located in Trinity Groves, we offer a vast patio space perfect for good weather.
My only complaint is that our server did not come around often. And im not the type of person to yell or raise my voice to catch a server’s attention(kinda rude). Other than that, I really like the food, ambiance and all that.
Best sushi I’ve found in Dallas, unique rolls and rare fish that are always fresh!
Excellent! Went with my cousin who lived in Japan for a year and he said it was the beat food he’s had since he left, very authentic! We ordered tons of dishes but the star was the Japanese curry. I didn’t even know that was a thing. But it is delicious! Highly recommend the place for any occasion, staff was very knowledgeable and friendly, and food terrific.
Went on a Sunday evening and the restaurant was not very crowded. Food and atmosphere are great but on our visit, there was only one server so our service was really slow. Took a long time to get a drink order in, and we had to wait a while for them (a beer, glass of wine, and a soda). We received our appetizer with our meals so the flow was not great. I am sure it is a different experience when they have more servers.
We always enjoy Sushi Bayashi and make it a regular destination. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and the manager Joseph always greets us warmly and makes our visits more enjoyable.
Took my son for some quality time together. It was amazing. Fresh, yummy..exotic menu with lots of options. We will go back soon!!
This is the best janpanese restaurant in Dallas!!!
...good company and good food.
The overall experience was just OK. The fish was tasteless and the sushi rice was bland. The only differentiator for this restaurant was the opportunity to “create your own tower”. There are too many solid sushi restaurants in Dallas to spend our dollars here. We won’t be back.
Red River Roll, Salmon Tower delicious as always! Ramen and curry also our favorites.
Food was good. Sushi rolls were huge (10 pieces/roll). Service was incredibly slow, then very attentive, then incredibly slow (we sat there and talked for about 45 minutes without anyone coming over to ask if we needed anything), then very attentive again once we flagged someone over to get the bill. Sort of a weird cadence. The atmosphere is good - the wall of 'specials,' however, is huge (spans the entire restaurant) and you can't read the whole thing from your table - I guess I'll never know if I missed anything.
We visited for a friend’s birthday dinner. We ordered 3 appetizers and some sashimi in addition to a boat (2-4 person option) for 4 people. This was plenty of food at a reasonable price. The frozen lychee sake margaritas were perfect on a hot night. They also brought special birthday boat for the birthday lady. Service was quick and friendly.
I had the spicy tuna tower and it tasted like warm mayonnaise. It was really bad- which is surprising because I was told to go there and order that. Also their miso soup was so salty. Cool vibe but bad food.
We had the best sushi we have ever had anywhere. Thank you!
Amazing service and staff.
We had a great night out at Sushi Bayashi. The atmosphere inside was easy to carry on a conversation. Our servers were attentive and patient with our lingering at the table. We could have used some guidance on our order as we way over ordered. The towers were well presented and perfect for sharing.
We had a great time with friends, the meal and service were wonderful.
Service was great. Loved the birthday boat! Food was fresh and prices very good.
Beautiful experience
We went here a year ago for our first date, so last week was a one year anniversary celebration...the food is good, large portions...great fresh flavors...service is average...incredibly slow and inattentive.
First time in Dallas I've ever gotten full at a sushi joint!
I don’t know what was up this particular night but we got lost in the shuffle and it took a full hour before our order came out. I tower and one roll. I’ve been here before and the service and food was fantastic. Must have just been an off night for our waiter. He comped a sake, but I would caution against coming here if you have plans later. Itimiyo!!
The sushi and sake was delicious but we sat on the patio and they had ceiling fans that were blowing too hard. They said they could not turn them off. So my eye contacts got dry :-)
Our server was really great. Good suggestions.
I came here before for lunch during the weekday and food and service was excellent. We came back during the weekend and the service was slow. Our orders came out wrong and there seemed to be a lot of mixup. We brought guest for a brunch so needless to say, we will never come back.
Very nice and good food
Excellent service. Excellent food. I need at least 50 letters so here you go. Food!
Fruit flies were flying around my food.
I really wanted to love this place. I lived in Japan for 4 years and miss the food terribly. When I walked in I was overjoyed with the authenticity of the place. I could not wait to get the food into my mouth. Unfortunately, the waitress was not great, my beer was initially the wrong beer, and then not cold enough. The food was just meh. The chef was Japanese, but he just didn't seem that into it. It was a slow night....and it was raining. Maybe it was just an off night. But, not sure I will give it another try. Trinity Groves is a bit of a haul for me.
It was wonderful .
What a wonderful experience with delicious food! Sushi Bayashi never disappoints!
The location is great as it's at Trinity Grove. The sushi on the regular menu was overpriced compared to most other Dallas sushi establishments.
Trinity Grove area is a nice place to vibe out for date night or group of friends. Great views and good spots to wine and dine. We've been wanting to try Sushi Bayashi due to the sake menu and sushi menu. We had reservations on Friday night and was seated quickly. But took 30 mins to order 2 Leche SakeRitas and Salmon tower(which both tasted amazing). After that our waitress was nowhere to be found. So after 45 mins or so I literally went inside to find her and order another round and advised that we're ready to order dinner. 30 mins later another waitress asked if we're okay in which we was not. We asked to talk to the manager and another 30 mins passed. We sat at 8 and didn't leave until 1020 without eating dinner. Not to mention the waitress actually brought the drinks I requested 45 mins ago after we asked to talk to the manager and said we can have the drinks for free but once I told her I need this entire order for free due to inconvenience and. As service she took the drinks back. Never again. The place has great potential and maybe great food but we will not be returning. Bad service and they need to figure out how to manage their tables. Good luck!
Worst service ever. No wonder it was empty! Sad because the food was great, and big portions. But the horrible service ruined all of that.
Food is some of the best sushi ever, very creative and on point. The service however was really slow and inattentive.
Nothing too special. Food was pretty good but service was slooooooowwww.
We had a great time. The food was good as always. The guacamole crunchy roll is the best roll they have. The Tako Katsu Croquettes is a terrific appetizer.
We were celebrating a birthday...they gave the 3 of us a complementary dessert. It was very nice.
Would recommend Sushi Bayashi...and will be back...
Even though the menu has a lot to choose from, the specials offered were too good to pass up! Our server was knowledgeable about the menu options and was able to offer recommendations.
We made reservations and sat immediately. Ordered the Spicy Tuna Tower which is a little pricey but completely worth it! Also had shishito peppers and the California roll. More than enough food for 2 people. Will definitely be back!
Not at all what we expected. Very sparse decor, no frills sort of feel and a little expensive for what we got.
