Enjoyed the Mother's Day brunch! Service was great as was the food! Looking forward to a return for the tapas menu!
We had a wonderful meal here last year and decided to revisit recently with friends. First the hostess could not find our reservation on Open Table. Then they put us at a table that was next to the kitchen and noisey. Then the waiter (who took his time coming over to greet us).. screwed up the order (forgot one dish all together).. and hung out on his cell phone near the bar the whole time we were there. We had to literally call him over a few times to the table for attention. There was no way he was a "real waiter" since he did not have a clue about customer service. (He did not even offer us a discount on anything despite his mistake about the oreder). The food this time was subpar (duck cigars made me gag).. and the pricey bass had an unpleasant smell and taste. We were appalled by the whole experience. The manager and owners should be ashamed! Avoid this restaurant at all costs!
Manager completely lied to my face after giving away the table we had a reservation for. Waited 20 minutes after we were promised another table which turned out to be another lie. I would never go back. I was wondering why this was the only place that had reservations left the day we wanted to go but now I know. Lesson learned!
Food was amazing however when we first sit down the bartender starts telling us she is just ok at making drinks. She also tells us that they are out of most of the ingredients for the drinks on their drink list.
We have been to Suri how many times and as usual, the food was great. The service, however, this time, was extremely poor. Poor busing if tables and it took a half hour for us to get our drinks. YouTube. To us as if that evening the restaurant was very short-staffed. Why it took a half hour to get initial drinks including alcoholic beverages made no sense to us as the bar area was almost empty.
The food was incredibly good...perfectly seasoned, interesting on the plate. the portions were very small, but the price was reasonable....$20 early bird dinner.
We were the only diners in there all evening, though the bar was full and noisy. the music level when we walked in was so loud, we asked to be seated all the way in the back.
I think it is a hidden gem....foodwise. People who want to dine and chat will have a hard time with the noise. Perhaps thats why they aren't drawing crowds.
I wasn't thrilled with my veggie burger which was kind of tasteless. French fries portion very tiny. We also thought it was unnecessarily loud and my friend had to ask them to turn the music down.
The food was good to very good but the service was awful. After we sat down it took over 20 minutes before our server came over to greet us and take drink orders. Once we placed the drink orders they came out one at a time over the next 10 minutes or so. By the way, the place was not even half full at 8:00 on a Saturday night. The Bartender and the Wait staff were operating in slow motion with zero interest in expediting anything. We asked our Server to please be more attentive. He simply explained that they were very busy. Once the food came out, they forgot one of our orders, then told us it was coming right out of the oven in a minute. 10 minutes later we asked where it was and he told us "I told you it is coming right out". It was clearly amateur hour at Suri this past Saturday night. We will never go back.
We made a reservation for Valentine’s Day and while I understand this is one of the busiest nights for restaurants, my experience at Suri Tapas was absolutely unacceptable. We were seated right away, which was great, but it took over 40 minutes for our waiter to come to our table. In that time the hostess came by our table 3 times asking if we had been served. Knowing we wouldn’t be able to find a table at nearby restaurants and because the menu looked good, we stayed. Unfortunately, we should have left. The food was ok, but i was more upset at the lack of quality customer service.
Went on Valentine's Day, and the place was half full. The service was exceptionally bad. We were sat at our table at 7:05, did not see our waiter, "B", til 7:30, and ordered a bottle of wine and 3 plates as soon as we saw him because it didn't seem he would be around again. By 7:50, we had no wine and 1 plate. Following the couple seated next to us, and fed up with the terrible service, we left.
We ordered wine and waited 40 minutes and it never arrives. We questioned the waiter on several occasions and he just told us it would be a few minutes. He never took our food order ao we just left.
It was Valentine's Day and very crowded but 40 minutes for a bottle of wine is not acceptable.
Creative and delicious menu. There were so many things to try, we will have to go back.
Food was ok. Never received our dessert we waited on for 30 min. Only to find out it never got placed in the kitchen. Positive side, less calories. They seemed overwhelmed and disorganized.
Great food, great service. First time for our friends, they really enjoyed it.
Food was good, with a wide variety of selections on the menu.
The food was delicious although it is very easy to over-order because the dishes sound so good and they did not disappoint. I would recommend this to friends and will definitely be going back again.
Excellent service and wonderful food made for a great evening with out--of-town friends.
Pleasantly surprised. Nice place. Great atmosphere. We liked what we ordered. The brussels sprouts were a bit too greasy but that may just be us. The flatbread was delicious. We will be back.
The octopus is excellent. But, overall all the courses we tried were really good.
Very relaxing environment. Great service. Innovative dishes.
The start of this visit was rocky: although we had an OpenTable reservation, no table was ready and the hostess wanted us to return in 20 minutes. Finally, the manger interceded to give us a nice table. From that point, the manager kept checking that food and service was fine. Suri is a unique experience in that food is brought when it is ready so that the vegetables were brought out first (even though we had envisioned that the veggies would come with the entree course). My wife's entree course was brought out and I had to ask where my course was. On the other hand, Suri is a Tapas restaurant, so many dish is supposed to be shared. In fairness, Suri was experience a higher than normal "popularity" this evening because it was the start of their new menu and all orders (alcohol as well as food) were 1/2 priced ... this deal applied to the bar, inside tables, and outside tables (usually only the bar gets the happy hour deals). Despite the rocky start, the food was excellent, and we will definitely return ... the food is outstanding and the staff does their best to keep the customer satisfied. Plus, this is a local restaurant and (especially during the off season), Suri strives the provide special deals for local residents.
The waiter was pleasant, helpful and available without hovering. And the food was wonderful. The 4 of us had 3 dishes each. We liked them all and had food to take home.
This is really our go-to spot when we want to impress out-of-town guests. Even friends who think Delray's Atlantic Ave has the greatest restaurants think twice after we introduce them to Suri!
We have been patrons since it opened, and we've never been disappointed.
Definitely worth going amazing and will go back it again
Our food and our server were very good but the hostest needs to find another line of work. We arrived with our reservation and the hostest started to ramble about not having our table, meanwhile we were there before the rush of new years eve dinner. She sat us at a table that wobbled so much that we asked our server to move over to the next table. From there our food and server were great. Both my wife and I enjoyed everything except the soup which was too salty but they took it back as expected. As we were getting ready to order dessert the hostest comes back and tells us we need to move back to the wobbly table because she needs ours for a reservation that's coming in. We told her no and the look on her face was inappropriate to say the least. I told her she should worry more about the guest that are here now than the ones that are arriving. We really like our food and server but will not return while this hostest still works there.
food was excellent. wait staff knowledgeable, service slow, never asked if we were interested in coffee or dessert
Great food and service! Was a lot of food so we had to take some home. Definitely recommend this place for a date night!
We had our anniversary dinner here and the food was amazing! Josh was our server and was very pleasant. Josh also had great recommendations! If you’re visiting the area, definitely check this place out!
Great service (our waiter was Josh) and great food (etouffe entree, arrabiatta flatbread, roasted cauliflower). Would definitely return.
Great if you want something different. Each dish is delicious and unusual. Spicy and non-spicy options available. Don't rely on waiter to tell you if spicy or not. Have him tell the chef if you don't want something spicy. Some food the waiter said wasn't spicy, was, in fact, spicy. I like spicy but my wife doesn't. Lots of vegetarian options. A fun time and good food. Use Charity Dine for a bargain. Fuji water bottle cost $7.00. Menu as a whole is reasonably priced for what you get.
Good food, good service. It was very quiet nut it was also very empty. Can't really figure out why because it was so good.
Very enjoyable. Varied and interesting menu. Attractively presented. Delightfully different choices Wait staff friendly and helpful
Will definitely go again
Very nice ambiance, not crowded on a Sunday evening. Good portions and flavors.
We went for our anniversary, and we ordered 3 appetizers and a meal to share, the appetizers were okay, the flatbread by far the most disappointing, and the meal, lobster risotto, was very disappointing as well. Our service was excellent but could not make up for the mediocre meal
We arrived at 6:50 on a Friday night. The restaurant wasn’t crowded.
Service was excellent. Food taste and presentation was very good to excellent.
We split a seasonal salad $12. We also split a tuna tower ($14) and Filet Carpaccio ($15). The tuna was excellent and a reasonable tapas size portion. The Filet was excellent, but I’ve never seen beef sliced so thin. There wasn’t much there.
We were still hungry so we ordered a flatbread ($13). It was excellent and filling. Actually took some home.
Wine prices were reasonable. Prisoner was $70, compared to $40 at Costco. Lower end wines were marked up the usual 2.5 to 3.0 times retail. We had a Columbia Crest cab priced at $31.
Second time dining here and the food was fabulous! Great sprouts, Mexican corn, capresse salad stack, plaintain cups with shrimp, lots of sliders too.Dishes for two to share and Solo.$10 bottomless house wines (pino was good).
Suri has a great menu , bar selection and the food is delicious. The staff is friendly and accommodating. You are never rushed at Suri's. Suri's atmosphere is cozy and romantic. It's a great place for a quick bite or a leisurely dinner. We never had a bad meal or a bad experience at Suri's. We will return to Suri's and have recommended it to our family and friends.
Food was above average - we had eaten here a few times before. The service, however, was terrible!! We arrived at 5:30PM; we told the waiter we were seeing a show at Kravis at 8PM. We just made the show, as the service was terrible from start to finish. And one of the couples we were with had eaten there two nights before, and raved about the service!
Great food as always but server was new and unfortunately not up to the standard of the place. We’ll be back but will ask for one of the experienced wait staff when we do go.
Wonderful night. Fabulous food service could have been better.
