Luckily they were able to accommodate last minute reservations for Valentine's day. Big thanks for that save lol. The food is amazing!!! So many flavors and just pure delicious. Service was very slow and at times seemed like they were more focused on leaving at the end of their shift than on the tables. I noticed many tables took 20+ mins just for simple dessert. The food made up for it but service could definitely improve.

The best pisco sour ever. Better than any I ever had in South America Worth going back for just for that The Flan was very nearly as good. The menu is a mix of raw and cooked tapas along with more complete main courses and sides. The ahi with grilled pineapple the prawns and the short ribs were all to die for. I remember the chef being on Knife Fight as a finalist and made a plan to visit his restaurant the next time I was in New York sadly it had to wait a while but no disappointments highly recommended. It was worth the one hour subway trip very easily

My husband and I ate at Surfish for Valentine’s Day. Super impressed with the food and service. Also, pleasantly surprised that we weren’t seated too close to the people beside us, like you might see in most NYC restaurants. We were very comfortable and had a great time.

We made a reservation for Brunch. The portions were filling and the culinary attention to detail is well noticed; great uses of flavour. We intend to return again soon to try more of the menu!

I'm big fan of Surfish. My one complaint is that even though I made a reservation, I was seated upstairs. The upstairs, though spacious, is much less cozy and comfortable than the street level.

This is our second time dining with friends at Surfish, and it has been a delight both times. The food is unusual, but accessible. Everyone has truly enjoyed their meal and the ambience. On a Saturday night, with large parties, it can be a little noisy. Come for a week day dinner if you appreciate a slower pace and vibe.

One of my favorite places! The manager, Magda, and the rest of the Surfish staff are phenomenal! I even had a holiday event here with my job and it was just perfect. Always love coming back for the great food and ambiance! #TeamSurfish

Surfish Bistro is one of the most delicious restaurants in NY. Awesome modern Peruvian dishes with fresh ingredients. The food is VERY GOOD, don't take my word for it, go and check it out. We loved the Maduros Gnocci that unfortunately are not in the menu anymore. Instead they replaced them with sweet potato ones (probably because of the season) and they're delicious, too. Great ceviche, meat, octopus, ... order a bunch of plates to share and experience a little bit of everything. Awesome pisco sour cocktails on different flavors, Cusqueña Peruvian beer. A neighborhood gem. We were so sad they closed their second location on 5th Ave, but we love to come and support them here whenever we have a chance.

We eat at Surfish often. At most restaurants, we have 1 or 2 favorites; at Surfish, choosing our meal is a challenge because there are so many things on the menu we love. The ceviches are great, and there are always some new ones to try. Love the taquitos, mussels, ribs, corvina, lomo saltada, and many other standards. Last night, we tried 3 special appetizers (all were great) and duck lo mein, which was new to the menu and a big winner.

The restaurant is casual, and service is friendly and timely. And, very tasty sangria certainly adds to the meal.

Chef Miguel Aguilar brings a great view of Peruvian food. Original and full of flavor! His wife is the hostess and provides a high level of culinary service to the patrons. The pair provide a culinary experience good for any occasion. Patrons can rest assured they will walk away wanting to go back soon!!
