Situated directly on the St. Charles streetcar line (stop number 24), on the corner of St. Charles and Napoleon Avenues, the restaurant offers a front row seat to all the beautiful sights and sounds New Orleans has to offer. The menu offers something for every taste, with items ranging from po-boys to seared scallops, and many in between.
For your convenience, complimentary valet service is available evenings and weekends.
As always, great. Good food and good price point. Happy Hour cannot be beat by any NOLA OYSTER HOUSE.
Although it was just OK, I would recommend... and here’s why.
The place was understaffed which led to poor service. Our server did not get to our table for approx. 10 minutes. She would also disappear for long periods of time; however, we could see that she was actively TRYING to keep up with her tables.
The entrees took forever to come, due to a large luncheon... and when it was delivered, it was not hot and had to be sent back.
Although this visit was not good at all, the place has potential. The apps were delicious and the flavor of the food (even that which was not hot) was very good.
When back in town, I plan to give it another try to see if this bad experience was an anomaly.
Server was excellent and courteously friendly.I especially liked the round table and location on the porch.Superior Seafood is a favorite of my adult grandchildren .
Service was first class. Food could not have been better. Throughly enjoyed the whole lunch.
My friends and I held a surprise brunch here for our other friend (she loves the brunch). The waitress was soooo nice and got everything right. I wish I remembered her name. The food was really good and it wasn’t overly expensive. I will be back for sure!
The food was amazing super delicious. Our server was very sweet, attentive, and kept our drinks filled. Perfect date night place
Great place — lots of regulars and plenty of visitors. Sensation salad was a nice surprise — crisp and tasty. Delicious blackened triple tail with accompaniments — corn maque choux (yes!), whipped potatoes. Gumbo was thick, dark and rich. Service was outstanding — our waitress was very attentive and two manager types stopped by to check on us as well. We ended the meal with bread pudding (yes yes!) and coffee. We can’t wait to go back on our next trip to NOLA!
Everything was so good! We went as a group of three and all got different entrees to share- great way to sample several things on the menu! The oysters were so good. Michael, our server was so nice and really good at his job. He also provided great recommendations for bars to avoid the bourbon street crowds.
The regular menu is very good. We very much enjoy the restaurant. The music can be a little too loud at times.
It was a birthday dinner, that was the BEST! Thank you guys
Average at best
I am a Tulane student. Every time I have family or friends come visit, Superior Seafood is the first place I bring them. There is something for everyone, the NOLA staples, a vivacious atmosphere, and unparalleled service. Superior Seafood will continue to be my go to restaurant choice, especially during happy hour.
Quiet in the earlier morning, great food and service!
Great dinner/ date spot! Oysters and fish were fresh and tasty!
Happy hour is better for big groups of people (more bang for your buck) but we had a good time. Good drinks and oysters.
The service was great + quick! Clean and fun environment. The food is AMAZING! Especially the crab and crawfish bisque. Highly recommend going during happy hour (4-6:30) for some unbeatable drink deals!
Spencer our server was fantastic. Food was delicious. Piano playing was too loud for conversation to occur.
Delicious food, great service, and great price for oysters and beer during happy hour. Entrees and dessert is expensive, but worth it if you want a great time.
Overall, very good. This spot is one of my favs in NOLA. I go all the time.
Great food I will go again !!
We really enjoyed our dinner! Valet was complimentary and it wasn’t crowded. The food was delicious! We all loved what we had. Portions were large enough to share. We will definitely be back!
This establishment is a MUST visit when you visit New Orleans. I had the scallops & they were melt in your mouth DELICIOUS..
Great location with good food. Really good for groups and great views of St Charles Ave in the front room. Wish the soups were a little better but other items make up for it.
Servers are always gracious and helpful.
The food was amazing! Our server Alexis was awesome and my husband i really enjoyed ourselves! Crawfish mac and cheese was awesome! Red fish with rissoto was or favorite. I would reccomend fir a date night.
Fabulous Sunday Brunch!
We had an amazing experience at Superior Seafood. It had a lively atmosphere & everything we ate was fantastic. The BBQ shrimp appetizer, fried green tomatoes & star berry salad was all wonderful. The fresh catch had great flavor. One of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans (and I live here!)
We were unfortunately seated beside a table of very loud people. The noise level was so loud we had to shout across the table to hear each other. Food was pretty good. I would go back for happy hour but most likely not for dinner.
Restaurant was very noise. The food was just ok at best! The chargrilled oysters was good but the gumbo was just fair and the pasta Del Mar was not good at all. Some of the mussels weren’t open and the others had a funny taste.
Food was good, service was perfect, but the noise level was crazy. Couldn’t even here out party talk, without speaking at a level 9.
The food is really good and the prices are reasonable. The service was good and the menu selection is great!
Absolutely amazing! Prices were low and food was high quality and absolutely delicious. A must go to. Our service was on point.
This place has never disappointed me. They have some of the best raw oysters in town and their happy hour is amazing!
We celebrated a birthday and our server Zach was wonderful. The food was delicious
Food was not good. Not seasoned. Shrimp & grits were just awful! Our waiter Jeremiah was absolutely fabulous however!
All I can say is that it’s been 3 days and I’m still thinking about the blacken catfish Napoleon I had. It really was that good.
The food & service was excellent. First they gave us complimentary salad & fresh bread before they bought me the Char Grilled Oysters then I also had the Hurricane drink with the Pasta Vieux Carre. This was my friend & I first visit we would definitely do this place excellent.
The food was delicious and the service was great. Unfortunately we were seated next to a large party and they were extremely loud.
We are locals who enjoy Superior Seafood. The food is excellent and with a unique spin. The valet parking makes it work for us as we do not like searching for parking in town. It is, however, a bit noisy. Overall, excellent ratings for this establishment.
We were in New Orleans for 4 days and it was the best meal we had.
