Situated directly on the St. Charles streetcar line (stop number 24), on the corner of St. Charles and Napoleon Avenues, the restaurant offers a front row seat to all the beautiful sights and sounds New Orleans has to offer. The menu offers something for every taste, with items ranging from po-boys to seared scallops, and many in between.
For your convenience, complimentary valet service is available evenings and weekends.
Great oysters and “shuck cancer” beer is a new favorite.
Great service with Colin.
It’s a favorite, we always come back when staying in the Garden District. Food is fab & love the frozen French 75s. Drink service a little slow this time, but overall a great night - thank you!
Our waiter was excellent! Took care of all kids’ needs and kept everyone happy. He did a fantastic job with our party of 7 and everything was delicious. My gumbo with the dark roux was especially good!
I chose Superior Seafoods as the first dining experience for three visitors from Oregon. They were very impressed!
Large , bright restaurant with lots of TVs. Drinks decently priced but food overpriced for quality and portion size. Tourist trap ?
The brunch menu was great, as well as the live jazz band! I was sad to hear they were out of oysters though.
Gator is fantastic
Nice wine list
We’ve been here several times and this will be the last. Quality of food and service has been worse every time. We were literally handed our menus and asked if we were ready to order without even being given a chance to look at them. Our sever came back 2 minutes later and again asked if we were ready to order and we were not. When we finally were ready to order we were told they were out of oysters, which was the main reason we went there in the first place. Our server then proceed to take orders from 4 of the 5 people at our table and walked away - we had to chase him down to get the last order in. Our appetizers and salads came out at the same time and our entrees came out 5 minutes later while we were still eating apps and salad. Table was overflowing with plates and by the time we finished our apps and salad, entrees were cold. After entrees we were brought our check without being asked if we wanted coffee or dessert. I’ve never been more rushed in a restaurant. To add insult to injury, as we were walking out, we saw a table being served 2 plates of oysters! I guess they found some.
Every time I come here it is just amazing. The service is always great. The food is phenomenal. This time, for our reservation we were seated right away. Our waiter was really friendly and patient with our party of 7 people. We were able to get some of the happy hour specials also. I highly recommend going here when in New Orleans, I always want to come back here!
Awesome food & great specials! I would encourage everybody to try this restaurant!!!
They were out of oysters. I love oysters.
Birthday was great! Food delicious!
Great place for NOLA inspired food, ambiance, culture and people!
My family loves coming here for birthdays! Our absolute favorite dish is the BBQ shrimp. The drinks and service are also excellent.
We ate at this restaurant last year and it was very good with great service. This time was completely the opposite. The food was average at best. The shrimp risotto was flavorless and runny except for the sprinkles of what appeared to be dried Italian seasoning on top. The ceviche was alright. The service was good at first and then went downhill. We each received a glass of wine very quick but the second one took 30 minutes to arrive after ordering. In addition one of the glasses was the wrong kind because they did not want to open a new bottle of the $25 per glass chard. The manager was apparently supposed to give us a heads up to that but that did not happen. We literally had the check thrown on the table the second they picked up our dinner. They did not ask us about dessert or another drink. I would have easily spent another $100 to try and finish out the evening on a positive note. The table next to us had a worse experience and were comped their meal. Too bad. A good restaurant that basically turned into a Joe’s Crab Shack.
Our server Alexis L was outstanding. We didn't have to ask for anything. The food was very good. Great experience.
We were seated promptly at our reservation time. It was very crowded, as it was just before a big football game. Our waitress Kate was very attentive and helped us choose from the menu. The food was very good and delivered promptly. The happy hour oysters were delicious and an excellent value. The only down side was the noise level. I would like to try it again on a quieter occasion.
Nicolas was amazing, the food was great! I love this place!
Always a great spot before Saints games, and especially later games where you can relax and enjoy brunch and Happy Hour!
Ok Great jaxz music live and the waitress great. No so great the food but ok
We love this restaurant but the past two times I have been the service was very rushed. The food came while we are still eating the salad. Also I asked for extra vegetables instead of something but they did not bring. I usually bring visitors here but he last two times have been disappointing.
Very good food. Main restaurant area was somewhat loud.
Loud but the service and food were excellent! Will definitely be back.
Outstanding service, excellent food. Our new favorite in NoLa!
Great place with a cozy atmosphere
Superior service, Rebecca was fabulous! Superior food and superior ambiance
We celebrated my daughters birthday and it was very nice. We sat outside which was not a good idea because of the heat, but that's not there fault. Next time I will request to sit inside.
This place is THE BEST place to get oysters in the city! Not only are they cheap during happy hour but they are clean, delicious, and locally sourced
Very friendly staff. Food was brought out accordingly and tasted delicious!
Great food and awesome service. Seth anticipated everything we needed. We never had to ask for refills or anything. I’m definitely coming back. The valet staff were efficient and true gentlemen.
Always a winner. Oysters are large, fresh, delicious. My shrimp & grits are consistently good. My daughter had grouper—yum! Bread pudding was delish.
Jolie is awesome!
Very loud atmosphere
We loved this place. Great place with different spaces (we were in a patio area that was a bit quieter which we loved). The seafood was amazing! Everything was great.
Our server Andrea was great. She really took care of the four of us. The food was good. I would suggest that they get the exhaust system checked out. The Bar and Dinning Rooms were very smokey coming from the kitchen. This is a very nice Restaurant.
Food was horrible, i ordered a salad with grill chicken on it and ask for ranch dressing they said they do not carry that!!! You had to choose from there house dressing are 2 other flavors of dressing that they had which was horrible!! Hopefully you all can get traditional dressings!! Will try again to see if it’s corrected later on!
We always enjoy Happy Hour at Superior. Best oysters in New Orleans.
Great food, great service, my honey was able to watch the LSU which made it all worth it! Great night!
Unfortunately, I feel that Superior Seafood has gone down since our last visit a couple of years ago. Upon arrival, the hostess and a member of the wait staff held a conversation for nearly a minute after we walked up before acknowledging us. Once we were seated, our waitress took longer than expected to arrive at the table. When she did, she was nice, but not very professional. She had trouble answering questions about items in the dishes and seemed very carefree about her job. When the food arrived, it was just okay. If I were paying $14 per plate, it would be acceptable, but at $24 per plate, I expected more. As we were leaving, the hostess was behind the stand with her head flipped over while she fixed her hair in the mirror. For the level of dining that Superior advertises, and when I spend over $150 on dinner, I expect more. I don't see myself returning, nor would I recommend to a friend.
Very good food great setver
