We were actually really underwhelmed, especially because the reviews were pretty good. The soups were nothing to write home about - the minestrone was very one-note: if I pulled out a specific vegetable, there was no actual taste. However the entres were actually pretty good - they clearly use good quality meat and fish. The service was not good. Didn't know how to pour wine and it was clearly very uneven amount and almost emptied the bottle - so we couldn't even top it off properly. And then they had run out of a cut of meat we wanted and she gave us an option of another cut - what ended up coming out, after a long wait, was with shrimp. Since we had waited for so long, we simply took the shrimp off instead of waiting for a new order, but the smell was obvious. We should have been told that it's actually another item off the menu (with shrimp) rather than the substitution she made it sound like it would be.
I can’t really comment on much we were the only customers there so of course the service was excellent the food was very good
It was a birthday and Debbie was our server she was amazing! I lived the text message that everything was all reserved and it made the evening special
Exquisite food, excellent staff, beautiful view, and overall - simply magnificent. Definitely, to have on "visit" list.
We decided to try this golf course restaurant while we were staying nearby at Lake Harmony. It was a little tough to find, but we enjoyed the location overlooking the golf course. There was not much of a sunset, since it was cloudy. We both enjoyed our fish dishes. The wine list should be updated, since we sampled a few wines before deciding on a bottle of reising, since it was not too sweet.
Second time to restaurant with consistent excellent experience. Not yet well known so reservations are no problem. Outdoor seating overlooking golf course with exceptional sunsets - aptly named
Cmmy wife and I just moved to Split Rock and it was our first time there. Everything from the time we walked in to the time we left was a 10!The atmosphere, the food and the service ( Josh was very helpful and hilarious at the same time) we are looking forward to working oir way through the entire menu!!
Nice place to eat and the food was good. We got there around 7 and there were only a few people there but it filled up by the time we left. Servers first day and she did an excellent job.
Service was slow. Took about 10 minutes to get our drinks after we ordered them., then another 10 minutes for someone to take our order. When the meal came it wasn't what we ordered. I ordered chicken and got veal. So unorganized.
This one of the best places to eat in the Poconos, Lake Harmony area. There used to be a toll of $1 to get into the Split Rock community, but that has been removed although the toll house is still there. GPS might not give good directions, but there are plenty of signs in the community to get you to the golf course where the restaurant is located. Keep your eyes open for all the wild life (deer, etc.) that are often crossing the roads. For some reason it's not well known, so there is always plenty of room in their large well appointed dining room which is on the second floor (an elevator is available) even if you don't have reservations. It has a beautiful view across the mountains and if the weather is not too cool, a wonderful outside seating area with a fantastic view. The bar and wait staff is really good about taking care of you. There are plenty of good selections on the menu with some additions from last year. I had the mixed grill which was a combination of half a rack of ribs that fall off the bone, nicely done lamb chops and a mild Andouille sausage. The meals always come with a nice salad and fresh bread with an olive mix for spreading. My wife had a huge slab of grilled salmon that was perfectly done. In both cases we had more than we could eat and the leftovers were great. We had very good cocktails before our meal and a good selection of wine with it. As always we had a very good meal.
This is our favorite restaurant in the Lake Harmony area. We've never had a bad meal.
I think the entire resort could have been better prepared for Memorial Day weekend. I hope they continue to improve the aesthetics to enhance its beautiful surroundings.
The restaurant was located in a gated community but access was easy. Nice grounds, nice view, good food, and moderate prices. The place is classy - it felt like a country club restaurant, but informal. The staff was friendly but a little casual. If service was a little snappier, it would have been exceptional.
This has become a fav of ours on the way to our Pocono house. We love talking with the regulars! The ribs are amazing! A must try!!
The setting is nice, on a golf course overlooking the hills. We could not sit outside as it was too cold, but it looked very nice. The food and staff were good. We did have some difficulty locating the restaurant using MapQuest.
Friendly staff, excellent food. Setting is beautiful.
This was a wonderful restaurant with a great staff and chef. The views from here were just as amazing as we heard. There's no doubt that we'll be back whenever we come this way for a little vacation again.
Food and service were very good. We even took extra dishes back to our room to eat in on a later date.
Always friendly, great food. Would love to see more Italian RedWine choices.
We have found Sunset Green to be consistent. We love the food, the atmosphere, the view, and the service. It's always enjoyed by the entire family, whether a date night or family dining.
Very quiet. Menu was not updated, but the chef changed the sauce to accommodate me. Good food.
Nice room but dated. Needs some upgrading. Wallpaper made me dizzy. Good apps. Pumpkin ravioli's were good. Sea bass ok. Service was odd. Three or four different servers kept appearing. Nice people, just too much. Food service was a bit too fast. Had the entire meal in less than 30 minutes - soup, apps and dinner. Nice view, reasonable price.
The seafood pappardelle was excellent. The calamari was smaller than expected but tender. The seafood salad was pretty good. The scallops were delicious.
Quiet Tuesday evening. Server/hostess seemed inexperienced and didn't know of Open Table or our reservation. She was very pleasant and tried to be helpful but did not fully understand the menu. Sea Bass on the menu and the Sea Bass Special were both excellent. Price was reasonable, particularly since a salad was included. Sat outside and enjoyed the sunset.
Nice views, average food.
Very nice view. were delicious. Wings were dry and overcooked. Soup was good. Service was great and friendly
Everything was great!! Friendly staff, good food and reasonably priced.
Certainly an above average restaurant when compared to other nice restaurants situated by an upscale golf course. Food was great and we had no issues with the service, the waitress was very pleasant and stopped by just the right number of times. This was not a holiday weekend so the restaurant was not packed (Which we also enjoyed). Seafood appetizer was quite nice!
The kitchen could not produce quick enough for the crowd
A busy holiday left them short on waitstaff
The drinks, the hot rolls with olive tapenade and salads started the meal off great. It got better with our entrees- salmon with crabmeat and NY strip steak and stuffed shrimp were all cooked to perfection. We shall return and nice to know we can reserve online with open table! 👍
My family of 4 (2 kids) enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Sunset Green. The service was awesome. The food was delicious. And we saw a beautiful sunset through the large ceiling to floor windows while we were eating. We will definitely go there again when we visit Lake Harmony again, next year.
The place itself is very nice, the ambience was nice, and the views were excellent. Our reservation was for 4 @ 7 PM on a Saturday night, despite several tables clearly available, we still had to wait for 30 minutes to be seated. They appeared to be short-handed as everything was delivered late to our table, from our drinks to the complimentary bread and especially our entrees'. We didn't order complicated items, 2 burgers, a flatbread and a burrito bowl, yet it still took more than 45 minutes to get our food. To boot, the restaurant is on a pay road, ok, it's only $1 and sits way back on a golf course. Scenic views all the way in but no real directions on how to get out and the roads are not lit. Make sure you google map your way out before you're going down the wrong street. Overall, the price was good, the food was good, but the service left us wanting a whole lot more. This place gets good reviews and I can see why, but we were very disappointed with our experience.
Was surprised the only access was through a private toll road.
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here for dinner. We had a great table overlooking the patio and view of the mountains. Romantic corner with plenty of room between tables. Food was wonderful. Best rack of lamb I've even eaten. Our appetizers were delicious too. The service was attentive but not too intruding. Would go here again!
Excellent meal for. 4 adults 2 kids
This is a hidden gem in split rock!!!
Plus it's super reasonable!!!

Difficult to find nice restaurants with good food in the Poconos. Sunset grill fits the bill, with the added benefit of a nice view. Definitely a place to try if you are looking for a nice dining experience.
Friendly staff!!! Great good, always a great experience.
My mate and I shared a variety of small plates and drinks and had a lovely time despite winding down for the seaosn, and apparently seeming to be understaffed. No diners were allowd to stay unless they had resverations. We were glad we did. We are usually in the Poconos during the windter season, so this establishment will be missed until Spring.
Despite a cloudy night, there was still a fantastic view. The restaurant not only is great Golfer's following their round, but also for a guest who just want a good meal. The menu variety offered small plates as well as dinners and specials. Unlike most Pocono restaurants, our service was excellent. This was our first time dining at Sunset Green, but will not be our last!
