Sunset Green Restaurant & Bar
Great fast and friendly service. Food was outstanding. Recommend the shepherds and chicken pot pies.
The building and vines are the attraction.
Food is good, portions fine, all reasons we're repeat customers.
Heather worked very hard, tending bar and tables.
One issue to correct: Bread promised on the menu was not available, nobody said so, and we got packaged white bread.
Good food. Great service.
It is a very reliable restaurant. Service is great with servers being very pleasant and expedient. The setting is lovely. The menu is varied and specials are offered. The food is good, standard as opposed to creative. Although it has all of the elements that would make it spectacular, the restaurant is missing something. Perhaps because there is no hostess it does not feel welcoming. But we will return.
Great food and excellent service.
We had a reservation and requested a table by the window. If it had been warmer we would have sat out on deck. The restaurant was very clean. We were greeted on arrival and again at our table “by the window” by a very friendly waitress. We all ordered off of the menu. It had a great variety of appetizers and entrees. Food as brought out earl for the 2 children as requested. Our food arrived hot and was as ordered. Food was tasty, we had made good choices. The men had tequila shrimp, lollipop lamb chops and the crab cakes. My daughter had a Caesar salad with chicken and I had Sheppard’s pie, the waitress said it was one of their most ordered entrees. We had no room for dessert. Everyone agreed that we had great service, and tasty food. Would definitely recommend
Love this place. Inside decor is s but dated but eating on the patio is a real treat.
We sat outside and watched sunset. Just had some appetizers but food was very good. Wait staff was excellent
The Sunset Green was excellent. Food was cooked perfectly and served hot. A bit pricey for the specials. Beautiful view of the area. The outside tables offer a better view, however the day we went was very windy. This was our third time at the restaurant and will go back again the next time in the Poconos.
First time this season, improved menus and food, always love the location of the restaurant and the view of the golf course and beyond.
Great place for lunch outside.
Food was delicious and the service was great. Even though it was a cloudy evening the view was beautiful and I look forward to seeing a sunset soon
Excellent service and food was very good
Food was very good, service was excellent. Staff went above and beyond to help us out when we had car trouble.
Dinner was wonderful! Debbie was attentive and professional. The strip steak was tender and cook beautifully. The sea bass had good flavor and I couldn’t get enough. The view was gorgeous.
Service was great...but rightly so, as we were the ONLY table all night. The food was mediocre at best. The stuffed mushroom appetizer was good, but most other dishes were terrible. The fish and chips looked like they came directly out of the freezer, a Mrs Paul’s special. The country club salad tasted as if it was dressed in some sort of perfume, the chicken wings, although tasty missed the feather plucking step, as there were feathers all over the wings. The service and people were quite nice, but overall i would never recommend this restaurant.
Great food and excellent service. The ambiance is very nice. Very good restaurant for lunch and dinner
Food is terrible .. shrimp was raw, rice and broccoli were watery and tasteless.. I don’t usually write reviews but if you have a restaurant you should taste your food to see if it’s edible..the place is beautiful, the food should match.. doesn’t take much to make simple food. Use fresh ingredients
Poor at best. Service was slow, we ordered three apps and only two were brought out. Third one came several minutes later. Brussel sprouts were nothing but leafy pieces and no bacon to be found. No croutons on the ceasar salad. Ordered a second beer did not get it. One kids pasta looked like the Exxon Valdez was in the bowl, nothing but oil. Chicken parmigiana was suitable for those coming from open heart surgery, not a flavor or spice to be found. Fish was also swimming in oil.
Food is OK, service was lacking
We were actually really underwhelmed, especially because the reviews were pretty good. The soups were nothing to write home about - the minestrone was very one-note: if I pulled out a specific vegetable, there was no actual taste. However the entres were actually pretty good - they clearly use good quality meat and fish. The service was not good. Didn't know how to pour wine and it was clearly very uneven amount and almost emptied the bottle - so we couldn't even top it off properly. And then they had run out of a cut of meat we wanted and she gave us an option of another cut - what ended up coming out, after a long wait, was with shrimp. Since we had waited for so long, we simply took the shrimp off instead of waiting for a new order, but the smell was obvious. We should have been told that it's actually another item off the menu (with shrimp) rather than the substitution she made it sound like it would be.
I can’t really comment on much we were the only customers there so of course the service was excellent the food was very good
It was a birthday and Debbie was our server she was amazing! I lived the text message that everything was all reserved and it made the evening special
Exquisite food, excellent staff, beautiful view, and overall - simply magnificent. Definitely, to have on "visit" list.
We decided to try this golf course restaurant while we were staying nearby at Lake Harmony. It was a little tough to find, but we enjoyed the location overlooking the golf course. There was not much of a sunset, since it was cloudy. We both enjoyed our fish dishes. The wine list should be updated, since we sampled a few wines before deciding on a bottle of reising, since it was not too sweet.
Second time to restaurant with consistent excellent experience. Not yet well known so reservations are no problem. Outdoor seating overlooking golf course with exceptional sunsets - aptly named
Cmmy wife and I just moved to Split Rock and it was our first time there. Everything from the time we walked in to the time we left was a 10!The atmosphere, the food and the service ( Josh was very helpful and hilarious at the same time) we are looking forward to working oir way through the entire menu!!
Nice place to eat and the food was good. We got there around 7 and there were only a few people there but it filled up by the time we left. Servers first day and she did an excellent job.
Service was slow. Took about 10 minutes to get our drinks after we ordered them., then another 10 minutes for someone to take our order. When the meal came it wasn't what we ordered. I ordered chicken and got veal. So unorganized.
This one of the best places to eat in the Poconos, Lake Harmony area. There used to be a toll of $1 to get into the Split Rock community, but that has been removed although the toll house is still there. GPS might not give good directions, but there are plenty of signs in the community to get you to the golf course where the restaurant is located. Keep your eyes open for all the wild life (deer, etc.) that are often crossing the roads. For some reason it's not well known, so there is always plenty of room in their large well appointed dining room which is on the second floor (an elevator is available) even if you don't have reservations. It has a beautiful view across the mountains and if the weather is not too cool, a wonderful outside seating area with a fantastic view. The bar and wait staff is really good about taking care of you. There are plenty of good selections on the menu with some additions from last year. I had the mixed grill which was a combination of half a rack of ribs that fall off the bone, nicely done lamb chops and a mild Andouille sausage. The meals always come with a nice salad and fresh bread with an olive mix for spreading. My wife had a huge slab of grilled salmon that was perfectly done. In both cases we had more than we could eat and the leftovers were great. We had very good cocktails before our meal and a good selection of wine with it. As always we had a very good meal.
This is our favorite restaurant in the Lake Harmony area. We've never had a bad meal.
I think the entire resort could have been better prepared for Memorial Day weekend. I hope they continue to improve the aesthetics to enhance its beautiful surroundings.
The restaurant was located in a gated community but access was easy. Nice grounds, nice view, good food, and moderate prices. The place is classy - it felt like a country club restaurant, but informal. The staff was friendly but a little casual. If service was a little snappier, it would have been exceptional.
This has become a fav of ours on the way to our Pocono house. We love talking with the regulars! The ribs are amazing! A must try!!
The setting is nice, on a golf course overlooking the hills. We could not sit outside as it was too cold, but it looked very nice. The food and staff were good. We did have some difficulty locating the restaurant using MapQuest.
Friendly staff, excellent food. Setting is beautiful.
This was a wonderful restaurant with a great staff and chef. The views from here were just as amazing as we heard. There's no doubt that we'll be back whenever we come this way for a little vacation again.
Food and service were very good. We even took extra dishes back to our room to eat in on a later date.
Always friendly, great food. Would love to see more Italian RedWine choices.
We have found Sunset Green to be consistent. We love the food, the atmosphere, the view, and the service. It's always enjoyed by the entire family, whether a date night or family dining.
