Great food and good service. The elk was fantastic as was the Salmon.
Went here for my daughters birthday. It’s a little pricey but food was good. It was quiet on. Monday night and the dining room was a little cold. Good food choices for gluten free but not so much for vegetarian or vegan.
Sunnyside was really great at accommodate our party of 4 adults and 2 toddlers. We never felt rushed to leave, the food was great, and the staff was very friendly. I'd definitely come back.
We enjoyed a nice birthday dinner here. It was dark so couldn’t see the lake this time but I bet it’s a great view when it’s light out. Waiter was very friendly and staff were warm and attentive. Seafood chowder was wonderful.
The restaurant was very nice and the food was outstanding. The staff was exceptional and was willing to do whatever it took to make the experience exceptional.
We've been coming to Sunnyside for 15 years. The food has always been nicely prepared. Although as much as I like green day, not so much while out for a nice dinner.
Better in summer than winter
It was a very busy night so I think that the menu changed to reflect more casual and easy to prep food. Not very creative with the menu items in the dining room (burger, chicken sandwich, steak & potato). I asked if the crab in the sliders was fresh and was told that it is from a can...why even put that on the menu if you're using canned crab (with a high price)? Prawns with prosciutto was a nice start and so were the ribs. Hula Pie for dessert is always a nice way to end the evening.
It was lovely. We were meeting future in-laws for the first time and at the holiday season. The restaurant reflected a warm, elegant but not stuffy environment for everyone to get to know each other. It was perfect. I asked for a window/lakeside table and even changed my reservation from 6 to 7 people. When we arrived...it was perfect. From Santa Cruz CA. It is my go to place for a fabulous evening in Tahoe! Thanks!
Great food and service. Good for all occasions. Highly recommend for visitors to the lake
As usual, Sunnyside was wonderful. Beautiful views and great food mix for a nice evening. The seasonal menu was interesting and the elk was outstanding. The dining room was unusually sparse, but the bar was lively. I was told by a local that the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is a slow time in Tahoe City. If you get a chance, stay at the Lodge; the rooms are cozy and the views are incrdeible.
Good, everyday, casual spot. Food can be hit or miss, but if you stick with the basics, it’s fine. Service is always great. Can’t beat the awesome view in this cozy, old school place.
Our waiter, Kevin , was perfect. Expertly taking care of a fussy (elderly) father. Dinner was absolutely delicious, nice choices on the wine list and great local beer. Loved the take home turkey sandwiches.
Sunnyside is always a good choice when on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. Good food and wine list. Service was great.
This is a Lake Tahoe must visit. Lakeside charm and views compete with excellent tasting and diverse food choices from an off season menu! I was surprised and very much satisfied. The staff, from the front desk, the wait staff, and the manager who stopped by, really made our little party feel most welcome.
Excellent location on the lake. Great view, good service, outstanding food.
New fall menu had issues. Gnocchi with duck confit just ok. Duck was dry as well as gnocchi. Hubby’s chicken with stuffing was just ok too. Stuffing very doughy. Chicken was moist. Butter lettuce apple salad was good idea, but over drenched in very acidic dressing.
we spent time in the bar, next to the fireplace. The cocktails and service were really good. We ate dinner in the restaurant. We had a great view, next to the windows. The food and service were really good. Compared to other more expensive restaurants in the area, this place was great.
One of our favorite go to places in Tahoe! Great food, drinks and a room with a view
