Amazing ambience, great service ! but food was terrible

Amazing experience, the place is beautiful and the sunset breathtaking! The staff was awesome, our waiter was the best! Great food. We did the toes on the sand, not cheap but totally worth it!

It took 90 minutes to get appetizers and the soup was cold.

We did the pre fixe NYE with a reservation weeks in advance. Disaster for a 1k dinner for 7 people.
Fireworks helped but watching two hostesses scramble the most disorganized overpriced night of our lives and not estimating until 9:30 with an 8:30 rez is beyond unacceptable.
Our server, Duval, was the only reason we stayed.
I was hosting and have never been so embarrassed of a choice. NYE will forever be done at the house.

The Casa Marina has created a dining experience with wonderful potential but given the proximity to the outdoor bar our beach dining experience was ruined initially by some loud and drunk patrones.

Christmas Dinner 2020: We were surprised the venue is completely outdoors. We were even called by the venue to confirm our reservation earlier in the day. A heads up on the coldest night of the year that we would be dining outside would have gone a long way in improving what followed:

Upon arrival at the bar we were surprised to see multiple patrons smoking cigarettes. It is an outside bar, and it is key west, but that was a shock. It was the closest night of the year and we were told the space heaters didn’t work. As in all of them. So they were totally unprepared and we were offered towels to wrap ourselves in.
We both ordered the “Christmas Dinner” which was decently portioned and priced.
We were sat under the trellis and they sat a young family of 6 next to us where we were able to listen to episode after episode of Peppa the Pig on their iPad at full volume.

We had dined at Bull and Bear in Orlando 4 nights prior and had high hopes for this Waldorf Experience but were completely let down.

We were in Key West and shame on us for not just going to Conch Republic.

We will not be returning for dinner.

We booked here for Christmas, unfortunately it was one of the coldest days in Key West. We were not made aware it was an outdoor only restaurant so we did not stay long. There were no heaters and the service was slow.

I went for Christmas day dinner. The food was awesome and it was quite cold (mid 50's) I was curious why they did not do in door seating.

My family and I had Christmas dinner here. It was absolutely amazing!! The food was delicious and the service was great. Ocean front dining was serene at sunset... There were no begging birds or anything. Everything was just perfect.

oh. my. gosh.!!!!! this place was just absolutely outstanding. we had our honey moon here at casa marina, and this dinner changed everything for us!!! the bar was set high for the resort, but the dinner and service we got from Steven, just made the vacation. it really sealed the deal on us wanting to move here!!! so highly recommended.

We booked the “Toes in Sand” special to celebrate our engagement.

Overall the dinner was a great experience however it was not worth $150 per person. The only drink included was a glass of champagne. If more drinks were in included in the price, it may have been worth it. We ended up ordering a bottle of wine separately.

Food was fine but nothing spectacular. Price included 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts. The ambiance was obviously great being alone on the beach. Service was good but we didn’t see our waitress very often given we were far from the restaurant. She did throw in a cute starfish ornament from the gift shop as a engagement gift - so that was a nice touch!

We did the Toes in the Sand experience for our honeymoon and CANNOT say enough positive things about the staff, food, atmosphere, or all-around experience. The staff bent over backwards to ensure that we were able to have our special evening due to inclement weather. They were exceedingly professional, helpful, and kind, and the evening was one of the most beautiful that I have ever had. Thank you to Jim and his entire staff for such a wonderful evening!

Service was so slow, so few waitresses and you have to beg to ask something to eat.

Was not expecting the best steak I’ve had all year overtop of seafood risotto with large pieces of lobster and shrimp. Great job Sun Sun. This is now on my short list for key west restaurants.

When we arrived we were told we didn’t have reservations and we could sit at the bar. We sat our self and unknowingly at a table at the bar doesn’t have staff. We left and found food else where.

We were unaware while booking that this was not a real restaurant. With indicators in the description like “smart casual dress required“ and pictures showing a high end atmosphere, my party expected much more. The real ambience was, we were sat next to the pool and commingled with people in bathing suits and no shirts for the majority of our restaurant experience.

Service was slow, forgot many items, overcharged us seemingly but without ever giving us any detailed receipts, so we wouldn’t know. Three people, 2 courses, 2 rounds of drinks = $300. Felt high.

Upside was the sunset, good weather for outdoor seating and they cooked my steak to preferred temperature.

Service was extremely slow server only served us water 1 time and the very feee times she came to check up on us didn’t even offer if we needed water or anything else. Hotel staff is unfriendly and rude.

Sun Sun was the perfect ocean side spot to enjoy a fantastic birthday dinner at sunset! The presentation of each dish was absolutely picture perfect & the flavors were equally as perfect! The service was spot on & the musician playing with the sounds of the ocean waves in the background was the perfect touch to the entire setting! I highly recommend this spot for a unique beach side dining experience under the stars!

Beautiful location, great service, staff proactive to maintain Covid measures. Food delicious! Nice ambiance. We loved it!

Excellent customer service

Overall not a bad place to enjoy a nice breakfast with a beach view.

Our server Olena was exceptionally attentive, and steered us to some excellent dinner and drink choices.
The view is relaxing. The ambiance is peaceful. We loved this place.

It was our 20th anniversary and so nice! The food was delicious & my husband and I think their Key Lime pie is the best in town! Loved it!

Absolutely amazing. The food and service were 100% A+. I highly recommend. They made our anniversary dinner outstanding.

Experience was great. We came in after the 4th of July rush. So had the whole place to ourselves . This has been our 5th or 6th time there . Recommend.

It was the worse experience! To start, the hostess gave us a terrible table by the bar ( closed)even if we had a reservation and there were better tables available around us.They served their 4th of July's expensive menu outside only, around the pool bar, plastic tables, hotel guests eating in swimsuits and bare feet, loud terrible " country-style" live band.... We spent $400 for 4 people, and left super disappointed. The only good thing was our Croatian server, very professional and kind.

We will NEVER go back to the Casa Marina.

Where to begin? This went from really good to extremely disappointing. When you walk into SunSun, you're blown away with the views. The ambiance is outstanding and the live music even better. We were greeted by a friendly server and lovely table.

Drinks and appetizers were delicious and timely. However, after ordering our appetizers, we were set to put in our entrees but were encouraged by our server to wait until he got back with our drinks. In no rush, we agreed.

When he came back, we were abruptly informed the kitchen was closed and we could not order our entrees. This was after we had spent a lot of money on drinks and appetizers. Left extremely confused and hungry with a half bottle of wine on the table, we asked to speak to a manager. The manager was very apologetic and friendly however a restaurant closing a kitchen with a table still in the middle of their service is inexcusable. For dinner we were offered a free bottle of wine and pizza delivered from a chain. The next day our card was charged the wrong amount.

What was expected to be a lovely dinner by the beach with live music turned out to be a very unpleasant memory on our vacation. Frustrated is an understatement.

Wonderful place to eat. The food was great along with the service.

When I called to get information and make a reservation I was not told it was going to be a fixed menu. They explained that when I got to the place. That was alittle surprising.
I wanted my wife to experience the dining on the Beach but she really didn’t like what was on the fixed menu. But we have to order from that. For the price the food was not up to par for that.
I will say the servers were great.

This isn't a real restaurant, just a tiki bar by the pool at the casa marina. No interest in serving. No host/hostess stand. No menu's. No dedicated seating area. Totally lame. The concierge directed us off property. Major disappointment as we had driven from Marathon Key

Nice evening, but changed the menu and failed to change website very disappointed.
Everything else was wonderful!

Très bien il y a juste un serveur qui trainait vraiment les pieds sur le sol et c’était très énervant mais sinon c’était top.
