Very cool concept but the noise level seemed unnecessary the restaurant was unique and decor was great. Food was over priced and ok but nothing we ordered was excellent. We tried several different items from different parts of the menu. Would not recommend or return. Not a bad experience but not a great value. If you pay for high end food you expect high end tasting it wasn’t there.

Great restaurant for Asian flare. Sushi/ Nigiri and some unique and tasty dishes. Menu has a good selection of cooked food! We did the Waygu hot stone as our final meal to round off the cold appetizer and sushi/nigiri we had! Highly recommended.

While we enjoyed the food, and love the concept, for the price you pay and being forced to order an entree on top of unlimited appetizers is incredibly wasteful. What’s worse, is that because the brunch has the unlimited appetizers, they don’t allow takeaway boxes for the leftover entrees. I understand the reason for no boxes for appetizers, but the wait staff should be able to box entrees for patrons to take. Two entrees went to waste because we couldn’t finish them and we couldn’t take them. That’s unacceptable in today’s economy! It’s also unacceptable when you pay the kind of money to have the experience. VERY disappointing!!!

Everything was very good. My only gripe was a $15 charge for my toddler, a two year old. I was told that despite no order being placed for him and him not consuming any food, the charge was simply because he sat at the table.

I love everything about the service and food! Both times we’ve gone the server is knowledgeable and experienced and the food is amazing. As 50 yr olds we do find it difficult to read the menu in the VERY dim lighting and the noise level is more like a dance club….I recommend the patio, it’s lovely.

The restaurant is beautiful and I love the tree in the middle! Everyone was so polite and helpful when were seated and ordering our dishes. The food had amazing flavours and spices to give it an interesting kick. We will definitely recommend and return to the restaurant.

I was told that there was no available tables when I arrived, went on open table got the table booking within the next 20 mins. There were SEVERAL open tables and the hostess at the front refused to seat us. I asked if I could wait at the bar. She said yes. Then 15 mins go by, another hostess comes over and says we have to order the unlimited drinks AND breakfast to be able to sit at the bar. So we had to get up and go back to the front area to “wait for our table” I ask her again so my table is suppose to be ready in 2 mins showing her my phone and the time and she said yes… and we go back to the front. Literally as we get to the front another hostess says our table is now ready and walks us RIGHT BACK TO THE TABLE. Ridiculous my family was already sitting at 3 different tables and they all were as confused as we were. The server was an absolute sweetheart. I would give her 5 stars hostess at the front desk… rude and unpleasant.

I really enjoyed the varies menu. We had the tuna tostada, crispy shrimp and dates wrapped in bacon, the sea bass was delicious and so was the Carne asada and the chicken with tomatoes. Drinks wee good, would have loved another vodka option but if you like tequila your in luck. We went on a Friday night and I'm assuming they have a dj every Friday, it was a little loud but we could still have a nice conversation since we were further in the back.

The music sound so loud we can't take with other people we set on the same table we have to make our voice so loud to hear each other, that's bring me so bad headache every time i left this restaurant. Everything else it's so good.

Beautiful restaurant and love that they have valet. Our server was attentive and excellent. Food was amazing. There was so much on the menu we wanted to order. It's definitely a place we will want to come back to with a larger party so we can order and try many more dishes together. We will be back for sure!

The music is too loud to have a conversation. And it’s a little dark to see. But food is amazing, so are the servers. We’ve been here 10+ times and love the dan dan noodles and mexican street corn and bacon wrapped dates.

My husband and I love SumoMaya for dinner, but were not at all impressed with brunch. For $40 per person, you get a subpar entree and unlimited appetizers. You cannot bring any leftovers home, which I understand in hindsight, but after finding that out, it prompted us to order more appetizers in order to get our money’s worth. It’s incredibly LOUD and the service was terrible. Our server rolled her eyes at us SEVERAL times. We don’t typically have an issue with service at SumoMaya, so this was unexpected. Between the three of us, we have a total of 75 years of education and she treated us like we were idiots simply dining there to inconvenience her. We will return for dinner, when the good is better and the servers are more professional— but definitely not brunch.
