About Summit House Restaurant - Fullerton
For Centuries the English Inn has earned a great reputation for Friendly faces, cozy rooms and cheery firesides. As soon as guests come to the Inn, the charming host and hostesses run to greet them. In front of a crackling fire one can partake of good hearty fare - the tankard is always full - the spit hung with roasting beefs - and a table heaped with sweets and such.
The Inn keepers of the Summit House were inspired by the custom to create a hospitable place where friends could meet to eat, drink and delight in the views of North Orange County's countryside.

Summit House Restaurant - Fullerton Ratings and Reviews
The Sunmit House is always amazing. They are known for their prime rib BUT....... the ribeye is phenomenal!! This is my favorite restaurant for the holidays. The decor is absolute beautiful. There is a gorgeous Christmas tree to take pics by. Request window seating. You can see all the city lights for miles. Breathtaking scenery!!
We were there to celebrate my husband's birthday. Linda was our server and she was excellent, very outgoing and energetic, she knew the menu and wine list very well. We will ask for her when we dine on New Year's Eve. She truly made our evening a memorable event.
Service was mediocre. Waiter seemed only remotely interested. Cottage cut of prime rib was one little tiny piece compared to the much larger cut that two others ordered. Caesar salad was coated with dry parmigano cheese, not the shaved parmigano listed in the on-line menu. All in all, food was mediocre at best.
As we arrived at our table, a card with Happy Anniversary hand written was nicely displayed, signed by the staff. Was a nice touch. Petra, our server, was wonderful. Had be best service and our meal was onevof the best. Highly recommend especially for a special occasion.
Always a joy to eat at the Summit House. I live in Newport Beach where there are an abundance of restaurant choices but, the food selections, combined with attentive service and lovely ambiance is worth the drive. While I wish you were closer, I believe your restaurant is superior so I will continue to treat others to a marvelous evening.
Last year I took my friends for their birthday in December and everything from the food to the service was top notch! This time the service was good, my filet was great but the sides were overcooked and different from last time. I was expecting green beans and instead got two small carrots. The scalloped potatoes were overcooked and not as good as they were my first visit. My friend who has never dined at a 5 star restaurant before ordered the prime rib and she loved every bite and moment that she was there. I will definitely be back some day soon.
Special thanks to Mark Fleshner always great seeing you thanks for leading the way. Delightful service and Trish was wonderful. The sunset with clouds was especially pleasant. So much illumination in the main dining room (see photos as they explain best) and the Summit was filled to the brim with happy patrons. Thanks to Mark and for the secret peek into the magnificent decorated ballroom. Loved trying the warm mushroom Polenta. Coffee and its presentation was marvelous. See you soon.
I clicked "energetic" for the noise level because nothing really fit. The background noise level was high and made it difficult to carry on a conversation. The food was excellent. Our preferred server, Gladys, was not available that night, but the service was still excellent,
The restaurant appeared very clean. We were seated right away, despite being early for our reservation. The food was great despite being high priced. The service was excellent and a couple of surprises were a Happy Anniversary Greeting card (signed by all the employees), and a complimentary dessert.
Overall is good and we come here often, BUT the busboy need to be retrainned. He asked my 80+ yearl old Mom stand up and move her chair becuase he need to pass ... rediculous!! In this kind sort of pricy restaurant, he dare to ask a elder to stand up and move her own chair .... can you believe it!! Yes, Bus boy!!
This is our go to restaurant for special occasions. The food is absolutely fabulous. I love the Halibut (John Dory Style) which is macadamia nut crusted. My other half loves the prime rib. The cream corn, served family style with every meal, is the best. I can't say enough about this restaurant. It is the BEST!!!
We were there for our wedding anniversary. They presented us with a greeting card at the beginning and a complimentary dessert at the end. The food was good, but not spectacular. Very nice atmosphere. Service was exceptional, which makes the whole experience something I would come back for. Kind of pricey though.
Another great experience at The Summit House with a meal that couldn’t be better. Well, maybe the price could have been lower but you DO get what you pay for.
I noted under my reservation it was my Wedding Anniversary and we not only received a wonderful and gratis desert but there was a delightful card greeting us when we were seated.
Service was spot on. My prime rib was perfect.
I have always called this the Nordstrom’s of restaurants, but Nordstrom’s has more work to do to keep up after this last visit!
We were their for a celebration of life for my mother-in-law, with my husband’s cousin’s. Everyone was very impressed on the ambience. Our server Gladys who was very friendly and knowledgeable about food and drinks. We all had a great time, we were able to take as much time to enjoy food, drinks, and conversation with our family.
I have been a regular lunch customer at the Summit House. My wife have never been. So we made a reservation on opentable to have our anniversary dinner at The Summit House. I know my expectations and they have alway exceed. My wife. Haven’t never gone there, had little expectations. She was more than impress! From our server Jennifer to the food. Can say enough! Thank you!
The food was excellent. My pork chop was tender and moist, and the salad I ordered was tasty. My wife enjoyed her vegetarian meal of egg plant crepes. The live piano music was a plus to the experience. Our server, Jennifer, was outgoing and gave helpful advice about our order. She took very good care of us. Overall an outstanding evening.
I was there twice in a week. One was for business lunch and the other one was for my mother's birthday dinner. The staffs were very accommodating to our special diet request. Food was delicious and the live piano music was very entertaining. Our waitress Sara brought us warm water with lemon as I requested on Open Table upon arrival. I will definitely go back more often and recommend this restaurant to my wedding clients. (I am a wedding planner.)
