About Summit House Restaurant - Fullerton
For Centuries the English Inn has earned a great reputation for Friendly faces, cozy rooms and cheery firesides. As soon as guests come to the Inn, the charming host and hostesses run to greet them. In front of a crackling fire one can partake of good hearty fare - the tankard is always full - the spit hung with roasting beefs - and a table heaped with sweets and such.
The Inn keepers of the Summit House were inspired by the custom to create a hospitable place where friends could meet to eat, drink and delight in the views of North Orange County's countryside.

Summit House Restaurant - Fullerton Ratings and Reviews
Reservation for six at 11:45. We were all seated by that time. At 12:00 we ordered cocktails. The cocktails were delivered about 15 minutes later. We order just before 12:30. The food had not been delivered by 1:15. During this period, people were seated around us, had ordered their food, ate, paid and left. Four of us received our food about 1:30. The two Cobb salads were delivered last. The problem - they weren't Cobb salads. They were plates with wilted lettuce and dressing. They were sent back and the salads were not returned by 1:45 so we cancelled that order. I ordered a chicken sandwich. The bread had sat so long before being delivered it was soggy. The french fries were cold. I have no intention of ever returning, nor will I recommend it to anyone. Such a disappointment to what we thought was going to be a great Christmas get together.
We arrived on time and were seated immediately in a corner booth with poinsettias around the booth. Our server was great, attentive but not intrusive giving us the time we wanted to enjoy our dinner. The food was fabulous from the artichoke hearts to the filet to the trifle, excellent.
Very inviting waiting space, beautifully decorated dining room, great view. We dined at about 9:30pm and had the prime rib and crusted halibut. Prime rib fairly thin and the halibut was not crisp enough for my liking (taste was good) and the purple (potatoes?) not good. Lemon torte fairly good. Service was excellent for the most part. Perhaps the lateness of the hour had something to do with the presentation of the food.
Thanks to Valerie for the extra service and witty responses. My fault as I made a crumby mess at the table and she used a special tool catching all the leftover crumby madness. The popover (Yorkshire Pudding) this time was different---shaped like a boxing glove---yet the taste was delicious. Delightful little mouth party at the Summit. Mark F. was dressed so well I thought is this the manager or some dude Armani sent over? Excellent time.
We just had a wonderful birthday celebration at Summit House and wanted to thank our servers, Linda and Alvaro, for making our evening so special. The food was excellent, the room beautiful, and Linda and Alvaro were so helpful and attentive that we couldn't have had a better experience. We have been dining here for many years and would highly recommend this establishment for any special occasion.
Had Thanksgiving dinner. The traditional turkey was excellent. Portions were generous so we had leftovers at home. Very busy but they seemed well organized. Seated only 10 minutes after our reservation time. Would definitely recommend for holidays. Inspite of Thanksgiving the prix fixe menu offered prime rib, lobster and other choices.
Have dined there many times and it has always been a good time
The Sunmit House is always amazing. They are known for their prime rib BUT....... the ribeye is phenomenal!! This is my favorite restaurant for the holidays. The decor is absolute beautiful. There is a gorgeous Christmas tree to take pics by. Request window seating. You can see all the city lights for miles. Breathtaking scenery!!
We were there to celebrate my husband's birthday. Linda was our server and she was excellent, very outgoing and energetic, she knew the menu and wine list very well. We will ask for her when we dine on New Year's Eve. She truly made our evening a memorable event.
Service was mediocre. Waiter seemed only remotely interested. Cottage cut of prime rib was one little tiny piece compared to the much larger cut that two others ordered. Caesar salad was coated with dry parmigano cheese, not the shaved parmigano listed in the on-line menu. All in all, food was mediocre at best.
As we arrived at our table, a card with Happy Anniversary hand written was nicely displayed, signed by the staff. Was a nice touch. Petra, our server, was wonderful. Had be best service and our meal was onevof the best. Highly recommend especially for a special occasion.
