Summer Summer Thai Eatery Ratings and Reviews
I would say the food was overall very good. Nicely presented with some modern twists. Spice level was good. Perhaps a bit more on the expensive end considering pretty standard Thai dishes. I was mainly disappointed by their cocktails. We had several different kinds, and although they were good, they were not as we expected flavor wise. For example, I was excited to try the Thai Ice Tea martini, because who doesn't love Thai Ice Tea...and it really barely tasted like the beloved drink (more like a hint). Same with the Lychee cocktail. I was expecting delicious Lychee flavor, and it tasted more lemony. We also got the Matcha Creme Brulee and it came out under cooked and watery, so they had to bring out another one.
I plan to come back and try their Happy Hour menu...probably not for dinner though.
we started going to summer summer because of its convenient location. but the food has gotten better and better. it is now definitely worth a little drive: not a "destination restaurant," but a very good place fora low key, group friendly, reasonably priced good time/good food evening.
Really disappointed. Food was not very good. Dumplings had cold spots. Pad Thai noodles were very chewy, fried tofu was dry and the chicken was rubbery. Other dishes are also pretty disappointing. Atmosphere and service was pretty good. They just need a new chef.
We've been here a couple of times before during the week and loved the food and service, however; this was not the case we when we brought our friends on a Saturday evening. The food tasted very blend and the corn fritters were way over cooked, the service was lacking as well. We asked for water service three times, the restaurant was not busy so not sure what happened with the overall service.
The Thai food is superb - crisp sparkling flavors, fresh and the sauces are blended beautifully. The service was helpful, friendly and attentive. It was intimate and quiet although there were a lot of people in there. Our 3 person group sat next to another group, yet we weren't talking over them, nor them us. I'm immensely glad there wasn't a TV. I'd go there again in a flash the food and ambiance was so lovely.
The food here is excellent. There are classic Thai go-tos on the menu, and a few unique twists. Everything we tried was delicious. The restaurant was not full, but the servers seem to be a hurry. Don't come here expecting a top-notch table-side manner; do come with an appetite!
This place had a very nice feel to it and the music being played was well received. I loved the dimmed lighting and the layout of the small restaurant. This is definitely a place I would gladly recommend to friends and family. The food was amazing, I had the best steak I ever tasted and the food presentation was very nice. The service was quick and the servers were all in good spirits.
Summer Summer has a fresh selection of grocery items from local growers which permeate the taste of each and every bite. The meals are very flavorful with a very appealing presentation. Even on these cold winter days the Summer Summer menu has the recipe to warm you up on the inside.
I like Summer Summer for large groups. The service there is great. If you want "Thai spicy" they won't hold back ;) The food is otherwise good, but definitely American-Thai fusion. The cocktails are a little too sweet. It's still a lovely hip looking interior to have a drink and meet up with friends.
We were in a bit of a hurry since we needed to catch a movie and the delicious food arrived promptly and the wait staff was courteous and friendly.
We had the crispy spring rolls and Tom Yum soup to start. The soup was very spicy just like in Thailand.
We also had Thai fried rice and Pad see U. Both delicious and plentiful! Will definitely return.
Altho generally a good dining experience, we were disappointed w/2 things: 1) after ordering most of our items I mentioned that we wanted some steamed veggies, in particular for our kids. Our waitress recommended something from the menu. When the dish arrived we discovered it was steamed veggie smothered in a thick peanut sauce. Not what I expected at all. One of our kids is just over 1 yr old and not eating many nuts yet. Thankfully the waitress took it back and off our bill; 2) we asked if we were still within the happy hr time zone, our waitress said "yes." My husband ordered a beer only to find that when we got our bill it was not on the happy hr list. Why didn't our waitress alert us to this after having asked about the happy hr?!
