Sweet 16 Birthday Celebration!
The experience was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and had a high level of energy which made the dinner pleasant. Food quality and selection was great and would highly recommend going. The interior decor is also an added plus!
Atmosphere Was great, and the service was fantastic. The food however was very average. 2 of us got pasta dishes and the other 2 got pizzas. The drinks were good. Not sure if I’d come back
It was so nice to get out. The food and service was superb. So happy that Summer House and Stella Barra are open again😀
Great food and service - fun, vibrant brunch.
Once again Summer House did not let us down! They took great care to make sure everybody was safe with the Covid going around! We had the salmon and a thin pizza and both were delicious. Would definitely recommend!
Our server was phenomenal!!
Music was annoying and a little loud and doesn’t match the theme.
menu is uninspiring, nice environment but it was cold.
Service was very good. Pricey food and drink for what it is.
They were out of lite beer & sparkling water. The server was not attentive & rather clueless. Very disappointing experience as normally I love it there.
Amazing time, I loved it!
The food was great. They had the same menu for both Stella Barra and Summer House Santa Monica due to COVID 19. The atmosphere was nice, tables were spaced apart appropriately and we felt very comfortable dining here.
I understand the limited time frame all guest have however food should be fresh. I ordered half chicken and it came out in 5 minutes with zero flavor
The food was excellent, thanks to great recommendations on the part of our server! The ambiance was not too loud but lively and engaging, with excellent drinks and a very noteworthy prosciutto and egg pizza that is a must have! Will definitely be coming here again
Enjoyed the bright atmosphere, staff was very friendly, food and drinks were delicious and desserts to die for.
Took a family friend out to dinner for his high school graduation. The patio was really nice, the food was pretty good, though nothing special. The service was really friendly. But there was one thing worth noting: We had made a reservation for 4, because there were 4 of us... But they seated us at as larger table. Then, halfway through our meal (literally still had food on our plates on the table), they came over and asked us to move to a smaller table so they could seat a larger group at our table. They were very nice about it, and covered our drinks and sent us home with cookies to thank us. But it was still kind of weird and worth mentioning. I will say that this was during the beginning of stage 4 opening during Covid times. So maybe it was a capacity issue. And everything was well spaced out and sanitized. They even had QR codes for the online menu, so people didn't have to handle menus. Overall, I'd come back for the atmosphere.
The staff are simply delightful, the food is excellent, and even in a pandemic the ambiance will transport you. I appreciated the measure to ensure our safety in Phase 4. This was my first time eating out since March 13th and I felt very comfortable and was able to enjoy delicious food and wine and relax!
Good safety protocols, table was clean, server wore mask, diners were separated.
They are doing a great job with keeping people at a safe distance - the number of tables is down. Food was good, service people and friendly. Definitely worth the stop on the way through Chicago.
Levi is the best waiter there!
The social distancing guidelines were easy to follow, the menu was digital and able to pull up via a QBR code, and the staff was great.
Omg this is such a cute space ! I loved everything about my experience, my waitress was a doll and my food was amazing! Thank you all for making my first experience a great one!
Really cool place, love the vibes awesome food
Been here dozens of times as it’s a favorite. So disappointed in their covid precautions. They failed. Walked in to a line from the hostess desk all way past the bakery. 6-7 6 parties all squeezed in the lobby. A staffer should have been pushing ppl outside to wait. Even with a reservation we were made to wait in the line nearly 10 mins and then had to wait 5 more mins for a table - what’s the point of reservations? We felt like this just isn’t right. Looked out door for a diff option but didn’t see anything close so stayed in line. No one was monitoring masks hand wash etc. Service was worst ever but I give credit as it just reopened, it takes time to get back into the groove. But we waited 10 mins for a server. Asked for ketchup, it never came. This was also at 130 - anticipating a light late lunch crowd. I think they are pushing the envelope on capacity. The only thing we felt good about was the garage door wide open. I get it’s a tough situation, but I don’t think they are doing it as good as they could be
Fantastic venue, great atmosphere, and solid service. We never felt hurried to finish or move onto the next thing.
Great menu, lots of outdoor space and a welcoming ambiance.
Our server was very welcoming & they relocated tables for us to avoid the direct sunlight. Overall a great team works here.
We really liked the hygiene measures they have in place:
* All waiters wear masks and gloves
* Some tables have been removed to allow physical distancing
* They give you hand sanitizer at the entrance
* You scan a QR code (which is a sticker on the table) to get the menu on your phone
* They disinfect when someone leaves a table
Only problem is that they have no WIFI, that means you need to have Mobile data in order to view the menu. I didn’t have mobile data...
Great spot. Unfortunately we couldn't eat in the atrium, but our server was wonderful.
I loved having brunch here with friends and I will definitely be back
We had an AMAZING experience. I proposed to my girlfriend earlier in the evening and her sister and her sister's fiancee flew in to join the celebration. I made the reservation at Summer House and they made the day so special. They placed us at the table under the "Yes" on the wall. We took our photos and the server brought over champagne my parents had called ahead and ordered for us.
They made us feel special from the beginning, the server was amazing she was patient with us (as you can imagine the texts and facetime happening as the news spread), our glasses were never empty, and she surprised us with desserts she had set aside before they sold out.
The food was amazing, we had brussels sprouts and the burrata to start and pastas (sorry I can't remember which ones) for the rest of us. Lastly, the cookies and Rice Krispy treats for dessert. Overall a great experience, I can't express how happy I am with the service and how they made us feel as special as the day was to us.
We had great service and great food, but we were seated at the pizza section of the restaurant instead of the summer house part.
Me and my friend are from a minority background, we’re Latino. when we were greeted by the hostess it was the perhaps the most coldest and unfriendly greet I’ve ever got from any restaurant. “Yes? 😒”; not an “hi how can I help?!” Or even “how can I help?”.
When we went to he sat down the waiter took about 20 minutes before we even got his attention. The place didn’t look like it was busy either, maybe like 4 other tables besides us. When the waiter finally came, he gave us the question right away with “what can i get you today?!”. Not even telling us his name, or even greeting us the same kind of way 5 minutes before when another couple came after us; friendly, introduction, or even asking if we’re familiar with the place. Me and my friend came to the conclusion, that either because of maybe the staff was extremely busy, or because of our ethnicity. And the restaurant was not busy. It’s a place which we will remember as the place where judged by our skin.
Fun, super great waitstaff!
Food was delicious. Our waiter was fabulous and we want to adopt him.
Loved the fun music and beautiful decor. The staff is so nice and the ambiance is great
It was perfect!
Food was good quality and the price was justified but wasn’t to die for, Bakery was amazing tho
It was nice time, we made reservations and not wait
