Chef Jeff Mahin’s California-inspired menu highlights simple, market-driven dishes with a focus on the wood-fire grill. From fresh Hawaiian tuna flown in daily to sustainably farmed Ōra King Salmon, guests will experience seasonal specialties made with fresh ingredients and local produce. To complement the menu, Summer House boasts an extensive wine list that focuses on the state’s distinct regional varietals and independent vintners, along with cocktails and local beer. The Market counter, shared with Stella Barra, serves a selection of fresh-baked pastries, sourdough English muffins and Mahin’s famous cookies, along with small-batch coffee and specialty espresso drinks. Extensive gluten-free and kids menus are also available.

Summer House evokes the breezy feel of a summer beach house with whitewashed wood, earth-toned tiling and warm hues. Glass garage doors along with a lofted ceiling and hanging string lights, bring the outside in – no matter the season.

I took my husband here for his birthday. The food was good but the service was disappointing and it took rather long for our food to arrive. Our waiter did not provide any additional color or opinions regarding the menu items when asked. There were no added touches regarding celebrating his birthday. I would come here again for a normal lunch not for a special event.

Food was pretty good, but service was atrocious. We sat for about 10 mins before someone came to greet us at the table and water came 5 mins later. Waiter was not attentive, and for a quiet Sunday, that's sad.

Very underwhelmed by the food. The first rule of food is to SALT THE FOOD before serving it. The chicken tacos were under seasoned and mediocre. The grated lettuce that was with it was enough for one taco, and the accompanying condiments were equally as bland. The wine was mediocre as well. Ridiculously overpriced sushi made for an expensive bill. Oh well, we won't return, or if we do, it'll be for a more affordable salad at lunch.

My fiance and I were very excited about checking out this place but unfortunately it was a big let down. We waited almost two hours for burgers and the server did not apologize or give us any explanation. Burgers were very mediocre and not too filling. We got a cookie menu but half the cookies were sold out. The menu was not too big or appealing. Not sure we will ever go back.

Food was totally average and definitely overpriced. Two ordered the special sushi rolls-- presented and tasted like grocery store versions. Our waitress was super casual and tried to convince us not to order cocktails because "the bar is, like, totally slow tonight."

We had an AMAZING time at Summer House this past Friday night. The guacamole was excellent and the cocktails were fantastic. With the outdoor seating, open garage door style windows, and the open floor concept, Summer House is a perfect location for enjoying the beautiful weather. The waitress was super friendly and the manager personally checked on us to ensure we were having a great evening.

Don't forget to grab the desserts. The Campfire Bar is ridiculous! Thank you Summer House for continuing to prove why you're our favorite restaurant.

Great service! I tried a plant-based burger that was very good. My husband enjoyed a chicken taco entree. We love accruing “Lettuce” points and receiving emails about promotions. The special holiday meals are fabulous!! We had a meal with friends for one of the major Jewish holidays and it was fantastic. The meal was served family-style and included all of the traditional foods that we would have at home. We definitely recommend this as a wonderful alternative when a holiday meal at home is not going to happen.

My wife and I ate there for the first time for dinner and the drinks and food we're great. She had the 🐔 tacos and I had the ribeye. We both enjoyed it very much. Service was great and we really enjoyed our time there. I've never eaten a meal so fast!! I literally inhaled my food and it was worth it!!

They are down to four "main" options on the dinner menu (excluding tacos and salads) so you better be interested in salmon, steak, or chicken if you dine here. We were told that there is a new executive chef and he is experimenting with the menu ... I guess that means shrinking it to the point where there are many better and more creative places to go. Pass.

Great service! I was not able to eat dairy and the accommodated this dietary restriction with no problem.
Ambiance was great and the food has a homemade style taste.
Will definitely be back!

Of all the restaurants I’ve experienced while here on my stay, the food presentation was the least impressive. It would be to your establishment’s benefit to kick it up a notch!

I have to say the atmosphere, organization and staff are very good. I was very disappointed in my lunch. My sandwich (chicken) was Not very good. Thin and fatty it was mostly bun . Dry in part of the chicken and red he’s in others very strange cut for a chicken sandwich .
For a $13 sandwich I was not impressed.

My family attended for a Passover dinner menu; didn't want to cook this year. First surprise was seeing an envelope addressed to me on the table, wishing me a happy Passover and thanking me for booking with the restaurant. The food was delicious. In addition, several of us asked for some changes to the Passover menu, and they readily accommodated. Love the open-air feeling too. A real treat!

We were seated promptly and served quickly after making our selections. On the recommendation of the wait staff, I had the 'meatless' burger and it was delicious. My friend had the soup of the day and a side salad which she liked as well. Despite being in the middle of the restaurant there was a draft that was distracting. Cookies in the bakery are yummy. We'll be back.

This is one of my favorite restaurants but Sunday was disappointing. The experience was ok, but not as good as usual. The service was slow. My burger wasn't cooked properly (which they fixed). The biggest issue is that they keep eliminating favorites from the menu. First they got rid of the biscuits, which everyone loved. Now the calamari is gone. They've got to stop eliminating the foods that get people talking. Normally I'm in a rush to go back, but probably not after last time.

We set a reservation and ended up sitting at a high-top table with wooden chairs rather than the more comfortable lower table and upholstered chairs. Service was fair to good. Food was delicious, although the chicken was a little dry. Menu is pricey. Burger and fries was 16 plus. Ambiance and decorating was very nice. Restaurant was very noisy. We subscribed to the website and received a certificate for a free cookie. Cookie was delicious but we were scolded when we provided the certificate for the cookie and told we were not allowed to get it to go. One would think that a goal of a restaurant is to turn tables and what our intent was to support the restaurant in seating more guests. We will explore and experience other restaurants in the area before returning.

There is ALWAYS a service issue. Either it takes a long time to get served, or the food is cold, or they bring us coffee but no spoons. Today it took 10 minutes for them to bring the coffee we asked for. Lucky for you my husband loves the food!

Like a well-oiled machine, this restaurant benefits from great professional management. We were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation time despite a very crowded room and foyer.

The waitress was friendly but not overbearing. She was quick to offer us specials yet enthusiastic about our choices from the main menu.

The Impossible Burger is the best vegetarian patty I've tasted in 30 years, at a relatively affordable price of $13. The Mahi-Mahi tacos were tasty. At $28 for tacos, this place is probably not the best for those on a budget. We enjoyed the local craft beers on offer.

Be aware that the restaurant noise level is quite loud, though it is with the sounds of customers - not kitchen and dish clatter.

All in all, we had a pleasant dining experience at Summer House, and we will be back for more.

All the food we had was delicious. I got the Ahi Tuna Steak burger & the beach blondie. My tuna burger was yummy and the shoestring fries were tasty too. I really enjoyed the beach blondie as my dessert.

Three of us had lunch, dining with a friend from out of town. We had very short notice of her schedule, but were able to reserve a table via open table very easily. I appreciated that. Though the restaurant was packed, the wait time was reasonable.
Our server Adriana, was great. Cordial, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and especially your exotic teas. We shared a chocolate dessert. Overall, I thought the
food was well-prepared and delicious. I did think $25 for salmon with a sliver of sauteed spinach, for a Saturday lunch, was too steep. Otherwise, a good experience.
