SUGARCANE raw bar grill Miami Ratings and Reviews
Dined at SugarCane for brunch Saturday for the first time after great things and it did not disappoint! The noise inside was a little loud because it was competing with the outside Salsa band (which was great) but this was not a major issue. I enjoyed the duck & waffle and my friend had the scallops and grilled octopus which were both fresh and amazing. The bottomless mojitos and sangria were also amazing and I will be returning as long as they have it! The real highlight of the day was the service provided by Chris and Marcelo. They were both genuine, helpful and attentive. I can not wait to return to SugarCane for brunch!
This restaurant has an energetic vibe . They have a happy hour at the bar from 5. To 7. We had the prosecco. With passion fruit pure which was delicious. All of the food is small pates . I can recommend mostly everything on the menu. Particularly the shrimp. And grits . The service a a bit iffy however the food makes up for it
We were extremely impressed with the food. We were a party of 4 and ordered about 10 small plates and we really enjoyed all of them. They didn't crowd the table with too many at a time and they came out from lightest to heaviest which was perfect! Highlights were definitely the BLT sushi roll and the bone marrow. Will definitely be back if ever in Miami again and highly recommend to anyone that is looking for good food at an affordable price.
I've dined at Sugarcane on a few occasions and the food is always pretty good. This trip I wasn't impressed. Nothing seemed to be seasoned properly or at all. Buns for the waygu sliders were soggy. Brussel sprouts were mushy. Lamb was over cooked. Beef tartar was grisly. Service was also lacking.
The only redeeming item was the goat cheese croquettas.
The Music on the terrace was so loud that you cannot talk.
We also asked the waiter about wines on the menu and he had no clue about any of the wines. To make matters worse, we picked a wine and then he came back to say the wine we picked was not available and gave us a handwritten list of 17 wines that we’re no longer available.
We go to this restaurant regularly and have found that the quality of the food and service has deteriorated.
In summary I would say out number 1 complaint about this restaurant is how loud the music is.
Benny going here for years and this time was the worst so bad we won’t be coming back
A shame as this has been one of the better Restaurants in the neighborhood for number of years something Musta happened they must have had a management change or something because it was a 360° turn
I love this place. Food is consistently tasty. Had a snapper that was delicious, the octopus and croquettes are delicious too. Our server was excellent. Chose a bottle of wine that was a little off. Changed it immediately without any fuss. And son’t Miss the buñuelo, which is really the most scrumptious French toast you may ever have.
