Took a group of friends visiting and we spent two hours having a great time with great food and drinks. During their happy hour. Their great signature drinks on sale and nice samples of the restaurant menu

There wasn’t really anything bad about it, but I was expecting much more than I got and my dinner companions felt the same. Some really creative and well-executed dishes and some just forgettable. Not bad, but forgettable.
The service was tepid.
Maybe one thing management should think about is their reconfirmation policy. The brusque and exceedingly confident person who called to reconfirm warned me that the table would only be held for 10 minutes and they would not seat incomplete parties (both reasonable policies), but that led me to believe that we must be very lucky to have scored a reservation. Instead we were Underwhelmed

Overall the good was delicious and the service excellent. Table and chairs could use a little TLC, but otherwise we did enjoy our meal and drinks.

Sugarcane was absolutely phenomenal! My fiancé and I are vacationing in Miami and I wanted to take her somewhere special for Valentines Day. After taking a look at some photos of the restaurant and viewing the menu, I was sold. We had reservations for 9pm and were seated immediately upon arrival. The food and cocktails came out promptly after ordering with our server. We were both pleased with the service considering the restaurant was completely packed due to the holiday. Would definitely come back next time I’m in town and I highly recommend Sugarcane to anyone who considers themselves a foodie.

I have been to this restaurant on several occasions with great service and food. I am not sure if the restaurant had an off night but we waited in between courses sometimes over 45 minutes, and this is a small plate restaurant. Also the flavors of some of the dishes that we have had before were off. We will give the restaurant one more chance, but it was disappointing.

The service was not good. We felt pressure to order more items or ask for the check.
The food was average except the flap steak.
They want you to leave because they want your table.

We went to the sugarcane yesterday for the first, and was a good expirience. I orded the a truflled brioche, a goat cheese croquettes and a wagyu sushi rool. Everything was delicious!

I love this restaurant, it’s a beautiful building and decor...our reservation was for 8:45pm...we didn’t get seated until 920/930pm...we were compted 2 appetizers ..once we sat down our server was nice but not very competent. She didn’t bring things we ordered, she brought us wrong items...bc of her mistakes she competed our dessert. These things are nice however it seems like they were too comfortable with comping things for people. Like they do it a lot and figure that will solve everything. For those kind of food and drink prices, I don’t want my food compted I just want a good meal w good service.
As much as I love the ambiance I’m not sure we will go back. There are so many other places to choose from!

Nice place. Good food and good service. The decoration is beautiful, sadly going to the bathroom is a horrible trip that can take at least 15 minutes waiting in line. I saw two men going together into the women’s restroom. It is a big place with just 3 Bathrooms for everybody.

I had 5 spice ribs and scallops, while the wife had short ribs. Both dishes were ok and delivered lots of taste just not as good as I hoped and anticipated upon arrival. Overall great interior design, ambience, and drinks! Gets 4 stars out of 5 for me.

Fun, cocktails were well made and the dishes were all very good. You have to order multiple dishes to fill up, but they are all very tasty and worth it.
Recommend : short ribs, lamb kefta, & carbonara cream (brunch).

Great place--my only issue is that the expresso that they brought me wasn't very good. A good expresso after a Cuban inspired meal should be a must, and it is easy to get this right.
