Among all the restaurants of the broadwalk, Sugar Reef is the only one to propose a cooking elaborated from fresh products. What a delight !! Fresh products, delicious french food, impeccable and well-kept service, view on the ocean... Just perfect!!

The food was excellent. The service was very attentive. The view of the ocean made this a great way to celebrate Valentines ‘s Day. The chocolate rose at the end of the meal was a nice surprise.

We went on Valentines Day and was very disappointed. They had changed the menu and only had 3 entres. I ordered rack of lamb and there were only 2 lamb chops. I won’t go back.

Excellent appetizers, tuna was overcooked, duck was tough! Service was excellent and attentive - but a gentle comment about the quality of the entree’s went unaddressed by management. Unfortunate.

Sugar Reef has been one of our favorite restaurants for years , but we were disappointed with one item at our latest dinner there. The mussels were not as good as we remembered them - too large and lacking the usual taste. Everything else - the snapper, beet salad, wine - were quite good.

Excellent yet simple menu. Had mussels, corvina, and scallops - all superb. Very reasonably priced and super cordial staff.

Service was good, but the food was mediocre at best! We stopped and left after appetizers and salads.

Not a place for a party of 5 or more ....staff and kitchen could not keep up at all ....once the food came it was delicious ! Just I would not recommend larger groups there

Nice food, nice music, service was ok.
We had one of us who did not want to eat meat.
It would be great to have more choices for vegan or vegetarian people.
The single vegan salad could be improved.

The new owner was very present during the evening and this was very appreciated.
Speaking French with the owner war very cool. :)

Our 3rd New Years Eve dinner. Each year it just gets better. Food and staff are amazing. Quiet but not dull. Just what we wanted!

We have been coming back to Sugar Reef every year for many years. It was always the restaurant we chose for our first night back in Florida. And after that I would choose it for my birthday. And many times in between. It combined a delightful beach front location with a sophisticated and tasteful French Caribbean menu and a charming staff. Things seem to have changed. Although some of our favorites were still on the menu, the list seems to have been broadened and dumbed down to suit the tastes of tourists who want only the familiar and ordinary. And the service, while friendly, was no longer quite so acutely knowledgeable. I can understand the financial realities that drive these decisions. And we’ll give Sugar Reef another chance this winter. But we are already online and on Zagat looking for our new favorite French restaurant.

Tip was included in bill which we missed when we reviewed the bill. Waiter chased us down after we left to let us know that we had over tipped and adjusted the credit card amount. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

We have been to Sugar Reef four times over a six year period. Athough past visits were memorable, this last visit was very disappointing. The wait for food was interminable. Both entrees we selected had on the menu as a starch a risotto. Apparently there was some issue in the kitchen and as a result we were served - after an interminable wait, and no explanation - mashed potatoes. I don't particularly mind the substitution, but having it arrive late and unannounced was not good service.
