Reservation for 6:15, got seated in a walkway table 3 hours later, was very uncomfortable.
Decided to leave but sat at the bar instead. Paid a cover charge of $20 for 2 for the show which was not worth $1.00.
As a celebrity status restaurant my expectation were on the high end. I was greatly disappointed.
My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves. The crowd was mature, the music was great! And special thanks to Manuel who made sure we were comfortable before the restaurant even opened. Curtious service and delicious food! Their crab cakes I ordered twice. We will be going back to enjoy another great night out.
Wanted a quick bite before the movie and to relax after work. Menu looked good, however lacked flavor. Service is fine. Kitchen should use fresh herbs and step up its flare for the art of cooking.
The appetizer and entree were delicious, but the venue itself left little to be desired. It was after work on a Friday, so my expectation was to at least see the bar area full...not at all. It was explained that a show would take place around 8pm, and although people started to arrive around 7:15/7:30p, the way they are seated is not comfortable for dining and viewing a show. Given the way the tables are set-up, guest would constantly be interrupted to allow others to be seated. Also, the décor needs to be modernized; the culture can still be displayed, just more modernized. Also, the drinks can be tweeked a little to enhance them a little more.
If I could give zero stars I would! On a girls trip with my mom. She had heard about this spot and wanted to have a late dinner. I made a reservation a week in advance. I received a text yesterday asking to confirm my reservation. I responded and confirmed we would be there. We had tickets to a comedy show before dinner. They called while at the show to confirm again. Of course I couldn’t answer. We make it to the restaurant 5 minutes early and are told “You have a reservation? We have a private event!” I say yes I have a reservation and you confirmed it. A guy walks up and says they don’t have a reservation for tonight, I say yes I do. The hostess opens the book and finds my name. She says she’s sorry they don’t have a table. Another woman walks up and says go look for a table. The hostess leaves then comes back and says “we don’t have a table but you can wait 20 minutes and see if something opens at the bar but we’re really crowded!” WTH? How does this happen? Unacceptable. I will never come here again. Customer service is JOB 1 and if you can’t get that right I’m not interested!
Made reservations but when we got there (from New Jersey to nyc) I was told we had to sit in the back (the garden) and watch the show on a 32 inch tv screen because we did not make reservations 2 weeks in advance . So disappointed, not to mention they automatically include the tip in the bill. To have been wanting to go to this place for a very long time and it’s a shame that I had a lousy experience
Great place to eat
Dinner and drinks were fantastic. Only complaints are tables too close together and wish drink prices were on menu. Thought drinks were a little pricey for amount you received. Very tasty though
Amazing music from the live band. Good food and decent service. Table seating very close together. Slightly claustrophobic
Catfish fingers were delish. Spring rolls appeared to be store bought and heated. Main entrees - Red Snapper and Steak - were absolutely wonderful, well cooked and tasty. All the staff we encountered were engaging, well mannered, and helpful. The ambiance of the Garden Room felt more like we were in the staff lounge area. Main room is a little pressed for space but decent. Bar is nice too. I look forward to another meal here.
