Food was pretty good, nothing special. Service was slow, even though we were the only table seated.
They were out of a couple of menu items which was disappointing. Was there for brunch, not sure about dinner menu.
I’ve been to Philly many times and I was very happy stumbling across this place. Very close to where my fiancé and I were staying. Also the menu has a dedicated vegan menu to which my fiancé and his father thoroughly enjoyed and I was happy with the choices I ordered off of the traditional menu. Some of the dishes we liked were; Kung Pao cauliflower, charred Brussels off of the vegan menu. Traditional menu; bok choy, and the veggie fried rice.
We’re hoping to come back again when we make another Philly trip.
Great and reliable food. Nice atmosphere
Good food and clean place. Service was lacking at times but I’ve had worst.
We had our own private room which was great for us ,we could have conversation! We enjoyed having a leisurely dinner drinks coffee tea and dessert. The servers were great, very knowledgeable and didn't rush us .
Love the new Vegan menu. Great drinks and great food as always.
Very good service and excellent vegan food options!
We were 7 vegans who went for the special vegan menu. Each and every dish was superb. We essentially ordered the menu. This is an excellent choice of restaurant for mixed eaters who appreciate excellent food and drinks, as well as ambiance.
Love the mushroom dumplings! Our lunch was light and clean yet perfectly savory. I will definitely return to try other dishes and enjoy the pleasant ambiance.
Delicious food, friendly service, good value, and a lot of great vegan options
My second time there and everything was delicious. The service is excellent also.
I joined a friend for dinner on a Friday evening. The service was prompt and friendly. I thought the food was less than inspired. I'm lukewarm on whether I would return or not. I really like Asian food and there are a number of other places nearby that I would favor.
We ordered the pork pot stickers and tuna tacos for appetizers which were phenomenal. For dinner I ordered lobster fried rice (highly recommend) and goat cheese wontons. Everything was going well until I found a DIME in one of my goat cheese wontons!! I could not believe it. It was ALMOST laughable it was so unbelievable. I think management could’ve done more to accommodate this very bizarre inconvenience but hey, it is what it is. I wouldn’t come back but if you go, watch out for what those goat cheese wontons are filled with!
Our meals were excellent although the drinks were quite pricey. Beautiful interior and overall great experience.
Overrated Asian fusion-like restaurant, was disappointed with the food. Beside the scallion pancake, everything else was VERY bland (SUGA Fried Rice, Ma Pou tofu, Ginger Soy Salmon). Sad that Ma Pou Tofu should of been spicy yet it was tasteless, the salmon was dry and fried rice was not seasoned enough) has to ask for extra sauce for salmon and soy sauce for the rice).
Very good food, creative and tasteful.
Kevin, the waiter was great.
Four friends enjoyed lunch here. Love the duck salad, lunch box, scallion pancakes, and more. Many options on the menu. Service was pleasant. Not too loud. I will return and recommend it to friends.
This place was exciting inviting clean romantic peaceful
The food was very delicious
There was hair in my appetizer and main course :(
My first experience here and it was great. All 3 of my party enjoyed it.
Excellent lunch - bento box and duck salad. The duck salad has a lot of very tender, delicious duck. I will return and recommend to others.
Interesting, kind of Oriental Fusion. They were quite conversant in gluten free and food allergies. The waited quickly suggested a lobster and rice dish wish was quite good and free from my numerous allergens. The unfiltered Saki we had was also very good. Great find on my first night in Philly for this trip.
We have had a wonderful dinner last week at SuGa. The food was great.
But we didn’t have such a good experience for lunch this week.
We had eaten at Suga twice before & even given a gift certificate to family but will not return in the near future as over all it was VERY disappointing.
Everything we had was so delicious and well prepared. We had the Pork Potstickers, pickled cucumbers with edamame and the sesame chicken. Will most definitely go back!!
Terrific scotch, great service from beginning to end and delicious entrees. Entire experience was enjoyable.
Special Chinese New Year Menu served family style was excellent!
We arrived for happy hour a little after 5 pm. The bartender was very nice, but once we go our food/drinks it was a while before we saw her again. Once we moved to our table, we had our bartender as our waitress. While eating, it was a while again before she would check to see if we needed more drinks. I think the might have been understaffed. Again, she was very nice, it was just the waiting between food/drinks.
My friends and I did the 10 course Chinese New year dinner. It was delicious and a great way to taste a variety of dishes. Looking forward to going back and trying the main menu.
Great venue, great food.
Restaurant was understaffed for Vday weekend. Took us 10
Minutes to be greeted at the bar. Martinis were watered down and tasteless. Felt bad for the bartender because she had no support. We paid our tab and left instead of eating. Won’t be back.
The menu was varied, creative, and very enticing. Everything we ordered was beautifully presented and absolutely superbly seasoned. Our server was professional and personable and we will certainly return for more delicious meals.
Was disappointed. Service was great. Food was average. Spicy shrimp were soggy & bland. For a fusion restaurant dishes seemed like traditional Chinese or Italian- not a blend. Would not go back,
We told the staff that my husband was allergic to shellfish, and then they neglected to tell us one dish in the 10 course meal had shrimp. My husband was ill for two days. The food was good.
This place is definitely P.F. Changs under a different name
We had an early dinner and the restaurant was quiet. We chose to partake in the special Chinese New Year banquet menu. Although we only had a party of 2 we were still able to participate with a modified menu. The service was great and the food was delicious.
Great experience! We had the Valentines Day Course and it was great. The service was excellent, and the the ambiance was just right. We will be coming back!
Great food, excellent service, all was very professional. Super experience.
Excellent experience. Visually pleasing presentation. Each item as delicious as the next. Friendly and attentive staff. Happy to have discovered this great place to dine by way of the Open Table app.
We had the Chinese New Years dinner Tuesday. Because of the inclement weather the restaurant was not busy. There were 4 courses, amuse bouche, multiple appetizers, 6-7 entrees and dessert. As befitting a Suzanna Foo restaurant the dishes were expertly prepared, and one could not fault any of the dishes. The fried Branzino with sweet and sour sauce deserves special mention. We have patronized Suzanna Foo’s restaurants for several decades. She deserves her place in Philadelphia culinary history.
