We had the pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon and the duck. Both were very good. The place is pretty small so it can get noisy but we had a very nice evening and we'll definitely go again. We finished the night off with the flourless chocolate cake and it was delicious!
Great vegan option for my vegan friend. Salmon looked great. Short rib was a little petite. Deserts were great, as was the waiter. Good draft beer selection. Good spot.
The food here is delicious and the portion sizes are generous. I had the bruschetta and the vegan stew. My husband had the scallops and the pork tenderloin. The ambience was good, plenty of people there but it was not too loud. I wish, though, that I had been given time to finish my bruschetta before the entrees arrived!
Good food, good service. 👍👍 thank you so much for the cake 🍰
Went to SC on a Wednesday night to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. We were greeted at the door by a super friendly waiter and our assigned server was equally amazing -- they really shine at customer service! Atmosphere was super cute and cozy, perfect place for a date night! The menu was eclectic and seasonal ... my BF ordered the duck and it was beautifully plated and delicious! I ordered the salmon and they were cool modifying it to suit my dietary restrictions (I'm a nightmare I know, gluten free) ... not sure if it was the modification but it was a little bland. My BF got the sundae for dessert and he finished it in 5 seconds so I'm sure it was perfect! We got the finest bottle of $30 wine on the menu (haha the only bottle of $30 wine) and it was local and tasted magnificent for being so cheap! Overall, i'm really impressed by SC and would totally recommend it to anyone visiting Solvang! Great local flavor, great service, great atmosphere!!!
Great service and really good food. They were super knowledgeable and helpful with a food allergy as well! Lots of Gluten free options (even offered alterations of things not marked gluten free so ask!)
Me and my girlfriend went here for Valentine's day while visiting Solvang. We both ordered the special menu of the day with wine pairings as well as the 2+2 charcuterie platter. Our server had difficulty understanding that we were both getting the menu and that we wanted different items of the several of the options available but it was eventually sorted out. Once the charcuterie arrived, the game was on. This platter was quite large with lots of extremely delicious things on it. It's not as important what was on it (it probably changes frequently) but It was over the top good. That was the start of an extremely enjoyable meal (including an appetizer, salad, seafood pasta, steak, flourless chocolate cake) and the best I had in California. Highly recommended.
Had a family Valentine's meal there. Really nice setting, not too loud, not too quite. We all enjoyed our meals. Make sure to tell ur server if u wnt separate billing, other than that... all good.
Lots of bacon!
The lamb was amazing and service was spectacular! Friendly staff too.
Very good food and service. We sat on the (heated) patio and enjoyed the food and beautiful evening outdoors!
The food and service was excellent. I had the duck breast, delicious!
Great food and excellent service. Our server was super great and very friendly, he recommended best wine and delicious dishes, the biscuits and strawberry jam were so good. We enjoyed every bites.
Succulent Cafe is a great place to go have a meal, drink and overall enjoyment. I highly recommend it. I'm looking forward to my next visit. FYI, steak was delicious!!!
Good food and service. Made reservation and seated immediately.
We were seated promptly And served quickly. The servings work ample and our server was most attentive.
So yummy, already planning the next meal!!!!!!!!!!!
Mi experiencia fue increíblemente, tanto por el servicio como la calidad de los alimentos y los buenos vinos locales en Solvang!
While visiting Solvang, we happened to walk by the restaurant and I loved the energy, so we made reservations for the next night. When we arrived we were seated within a few minutes. The server took our order and within minutes we had a large dish full of delicious brussel sprouts. Yum. We also ordered a meatloaf and spicy hen (?). Delicious! We enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. I wish the restaurant was closer to us so we could go again (and again...).
We ordered the vegetarian chili. It was very good. Would have liked to have seen some vegan options.
Waiter from I think Louisiana was great. He was very attentive and personable. The host was very nice too.
Insanely good. Service impeccable. Ambiance fantastic. Enjoy this gem. Worth it.
Had such a wonderful time and food was fantastic. We were celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary and had our handsome 5-1/2 month Lab (Doug) with us. The staff was not only attentive and extremely friendly but gave repeated love and attention to Doug. THANK YOU! we can't wait to come back.
We were in Solvang for a wedding and decided to eat here because of location. In looking at the menu I couldn't decided if I wanted to go there for dinner or brunch or both since both looked equally delicious. We ended up going for dinner and I LOVED it. I got the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin and it was amazing. My friends also loved the lamb burger, the meatloaf and braised short rib. I would absolutely go again and would recommend it to anyone heading to that area.
Food was good and ambinous was nice. The host and waitress were rude.
Weekend getaway to wine country couldn't have started any better. Great food and great experience. Loved it.
very good food and service. server was very good . Would recommend
We always enjoy the good food and great service at this restaurant.
Nice outdoor evening dining. Great menu. Lots of healthy options! Really enjoyed our dining choices.
The food was fantastic, atmosphere was cozy, and service was terrific, especially for a large party! Thanks so much for a great time. Everyone left smiling.
The food is creative and delicious. In our experience the waiters and staff are attentive and provide great advice. One of our favorite restaurants.
We were travelling through Solvang on our way to OR. Unfortunately, the service was very slow. Our server was taking care of a large party dining outside, so it was hard to get her attention for water, and check. Food was good, yet a bit over priced.
Excellent menu that covers options that you do not get at any other restaurant in the valley. Nice change.
the meatloaf blew my mom's mind and i really enjoyed the duck. nothing out of the ordinary, just good, solid cooking in a very pleasant atmosphere
The place had a great feel and the cocktails were very tasty. The meatloaf was very rich and filling, the fried chicken wasn't the best. Not as crispy as hoped for and the Mac and cheese and collards needed more flavor. But the atmosphere and look of the restaurant was on point.
Could not have had a more pleasant dinner before the Theater.
Outstanding proprietor and servers. Both Kelly and Ty presented
us awesome food and good cheer. Thank you all it was wonderful.
This was a lovely meal with a beautiful and bountiful charcuterie plate for starters, followed by amazing Brussel sprouts and the three little piggies (bacon wrapped tenderloin on a fried potato cake) which was very delicious. Dessert was the flourless chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. Service by Ty was terrific and accommodated all our requests. Certainly on our list anytime we return to Solvang.
Good food! Good service! I would recommend Succulent for those who want some good food.
Fantastically delicious. If you like lamb chops, then here is where you have to order your next meal. Took me 4 1/2 hours to get here and would drive back just for that meal.
Waitress was exceptional. I hate asparagus, but listened to the waitress and really enjoyed the concoction the lamb was served with.
Try it.... you will thank me later!!!!
This was our second visit to Succulent. This time we dined indoors. The dining room is very pleasant with rich wood and simple settings. The food was excellent. The four of us ordered different entree's. They accommodated one vegan and one with allergies with the most gracious service and delicious food. The presentations are artful and the portions are generous. The menu is original and changed from our first visit to keep in time with the season.
On a birthday celebration road trip, we were travelling with a small dog. Little Elvis was welcomed by the staff, and given fresh water and homemade peanut butter biscuits. The food served to us was also delicious and fresh. The patio was quiet, since there were some wild fires burning nearby, so most folks chose to sit inside. Quaint little town, nice little cafe :)
