Sublime Ratings and Reviews
The food was amazing! My girlfriend and i celebrated our 2 year anniversary here because we are new vegans (1 month exactly) and wanted to try going out instead of cooking at home. It was awesome! Lots of creative and tasty vegan options. Very nice scenary too
We totally enjoyed our marvelous evening of wine, unique appetizers and entrees. Our kale salad was fresh and crisp with a marvelous light dressing. The portobello steak stack was even more delectable to the taste than it's gourmet presentation.
The chardonnay selection from the Russian River was perfect and a great price with the happy hour offering at the bar.
The atmosphere was relaxing and our friendly cordial bartender, Doug added to our delight.
All around excellent vegan/vegetarian restaurant. The food was very fresh and just the right level of flavor. Vegan can be very flat if not done correctly but Sublime has got it right.
The frito misto was out of this world. Service was also superb. Would definitely go back and not hesitate to recommend it.
We have been to Sublime several times prior to this visit. We had a wonderful time.
The restaurant smells clean because of the food which is prepared and its delicious.
One of our guests wasn't sure she would like the food because there is no meat, but was pleasantly surprised.
This is the second time my wife and I have been to Sublime, and it was fantastic. Sublime is a 100% all vegan menu packed with flavor. While I am not vegan, my wife most certainly requires this option, and you will not find another place quite lime it. Additionally, for you vegan haters out there, the food is delicious, even if you don't get your meat dish for the night. It is definitely satisfying.
Our server was Wellington - absolutely amazing! He not only was a gentleman, but very knowledgeable about the menu and offered suggestions to us to try. Definitely one of best at this place! He paced out the meal to our preference and did not rush us out the door.
Overall, if you are looking for a nice place to enjoy a nice dinner with your other half, or simply explore new options, definitely check this place out!
When this restaurant opened about twelve years ago, it promised to be a high-end vegan restaurant, and it kind of was. It has very clearly turned into a has-been that's supported by a wealthy owner who can afford to keep the doors open regardless of revenue. The food quality is poor, the environment is okay, the service is still decent, the place was empty at 7:30 on a Friday, and the overall experience is terribly mediocre. Time to close the doors! I'll never go back again...
Food was nothing special and overpriced. Tried 4 appetizers and the most popular two entrees. Expected a more upscale atmosphere for the price point. Would only go back for desserts which were large in size and cappuccinos.
I was amazed at the various food options and creations by the restaurant. The service was excellent and the server knew the menu options very well and gave really good suggestions. This was my first time at a vegan restaurant trying all vegan items and I was very impressed!
We had a quick stay in Fort Lauderdale on our way to/from the Keys, and were really looking forward to eating at Sublime. We were not disappointed! Everything on the menu is amazing! Such good vegan food. We had the mushroom ravioli (which I never wanted to end), the frito misto, and the mac 'n' cheese. All were delicious and the portions were perfect.
Sublime's atmosphere is also perfect for date-night...it's easy to dress up or go more casual and be comfortable either way.
I was disappointed overall. The restaurant is a bit dated. The menu has not changed in years! The piccata was so oily and the portion was tiny. The service was just ok, not as attentive as it should've been. There are other veg. restaurants that I think are better.
It is hard to find a good vegan restaurant so when i found Sublime on the internet I was expecting a lot from what I read. But I was disappointed. The cost of the food is expensive for what you get. The food is not that good. It's ok, but not good. I will say that the chocolate cake was great, and the cauliflower was good, but everything else was just ok.
One person in our group had a nut allergy. The waiter didn't know what foods had nuts or not. The waiter had to go to the kitchen repeatedly to ask what had nuts. You would think the staff in a vegan restaurant would know whats in their food. The waiter also didn't have a friendly personality, seem uninterested in making our visit a good one.
I have been to many vegan restaurants and I have found the hole in the wall restaurants to be the best and the cost are always good. I will not return to Sublime for two main reasons: the cost and the food was barely ok. I will miss the chocolate cake. If all your food could be as good as the cake was that would be great.
Sad vegan who will continue to look for good vegan restaurants.
The restaurant is amazing! Staff were nice. The food is absolutely delicious! I felt so happy to be able to order without bugging the waiter to remove this and that from a dish I wanted or having to ask for a allergen menu... It's an amazing feeling that I took for granted before I was vegan. My friend that came along is not vegan but loved the food! She was even talking about bringing her family here to try the food. So happy with my experience, can't wait to go back!
Good, but not as great as is it used to be. It had been a few years and it seemed a little shabby compared to what I remembered, having been countless times in the past. Service was excellent, and the food was not bad. Some of it (such as the Frito Misto) was excellent. Flies were an issue. difficult to avoid them in the FL summer, but still... To sum up, it is still the best place in town for vegan food and has something on the menu for everyone, vegan or not.
This is my second visit to Sublime. And this was even better than the first. Started with the cauliflower app - amazing but BIG! The portabella steak stack was just a delight to eat. We finished by sharing a slice of the coconut cake. Which is my favorite there. I would drive down just to have a slice of that cake.
Returned here after a ten year absence and nothing has changed. Other than the waterfall, the dining room is a bit tired looking and could use updating. The menu has too many dishes that were around a decade ago. None of them were outstanding then, and they aren't now. The salads were fresh tasting but very bland, the mark of an uninventive chef. The frito misto cauliflower appy was delicious and the vegan lasagne was ok, but everything else is forgettable. The service was great. The desserts were also ok. Overall, this vegan restaurant is just a novelty. For those of us who are omnivores or vegetarians, there isn't enough here to warrant a visit.
The menu is Limited. Only a small number of entrees to choose from.
The quality was very good.
Was expecting a lot more choices.
The booth we where sat at the top of it was sticky. Like someone spilled drinks and didn't clean it.
I was also surprised as a vegetarian Restaurant. That there seem to be more attention to Alcohol than food. I don't think we will go back.
Waiter-bartender was efficient.
But not friendly.
