We went for Mother's day and everyone in our group had a great time, especially our mother who never eats at restaurants because she is vegan and needs to be assured there are no animal products at all in her food. Sublime definitely put her mind at ease.
Sublime has been a favorite for years but the food selection keeps shrinking. The mushroom ravioli (when it was made in house) was phenomenal but they have chosen to take a short cut and buy premade, it cannot compare in the least. So, at this point that leaves one choice on the too slim menu that I enjoy. I have a sublime cookbook and I have to assume a number of the items that are in it were available at one time - it is very disappointing that the restaurant has chosen to go this rout. Sublime also used to have a happy hour, they used to run specials (for example 1/2 off a bottle of wine for the month of August) not anymore. What is happening to our favorite vegan restaurant???
Vegan food at best!
I've been wanting to come here for years! But my vehicle would not make it to the next county! I was lucky enough to make it out here, for my birthday. It was a lovely gift, from my brother. We are both pesca tarians. The vegan options, were delicious. Thank you for all of the accommodations.
The restaurant was so nice and all employees were pleasant. The food was amazing! My boyfriend is not vegan or vegetarian and he thoroughly enjoyed his meal. I will definitely be coming back! 10/10!
Delicious vegan food! As usual, I enjoyed the coconut cake for dessert. Our waiter Doug was very attentive & personable. We will be back the next time we are in Lauderdale!
I've been going to Sublime for perhaps 10+ years, two or three times a year and travel from Rockville MD, JUST to eat there. Of course, I love it.
We have been going to Sublime for several years. Service and food was great as usual! Would suggest not using Gardein products as can use at home (and less expensive). Would also suggest updating the menu and maybe increase selection as it has been the same for quite a while.
Always a great meal. Lovely setting. Makes it easy to be vegan and eat well.
I've always loved Sublime, I was supposed to go with my hubby for date night after the Vegan presentation because its a great place to chill and have good conversation but he couldn't make it, so I decided to go on my own for some quiet time! This is definitely the spot for that, I wouldn't go if I wanted to be somewhere that was full of life and energetic but I love the place I had dinner , drank wine and read a book, good enough for me ! :)
Very nice restaurant just wish It had a few more options , food was excellent. wish we could have vegan restaurants on every corner all over the USA
Great vegan meal to kick off our vacation! My only criticism is the lack of options for one in our party who has severe nut allergies. He was forced to nibble on a Caesar salad while the rest of us enjoyed a number of delicious selections
My favorite will always be the Frito Misto, and my friend loved it too. I enjoyed my entree of picata. My friend enjoyed the ravioli, but by the end felt it was too much of the same taste.
Sublime is Subpar
The soup was tasteless and watery.
My entree was delivered when I was only halfway through my soup. My entree, wok fried vegetables with rice, was barely seasoned with soy sauce and sesame seeds. Why no basic additional seasoning that would have made this dish palatable? Very disappointed.
This is the fourth time we've eaten at Sublime. We are vegan and there aren't many options for a nice evening out. The food is always very good. My only complaint is the small portions. My Mushroom ravioli in cashew cream Sage sauce was delicious, but $21 for 6 ravioli is a bit absurd. My husband order 3 sides to create his own meal... Ponzu Tofu, steamed rice, and Garlic Broccoli- again the tiniest portions at $7 each! The appetizers, salads, entrees, are all excellent- just too small. (Desserts and drinks are portioned right at least). But you end up spending a ton of money just to feel full. Granted, the profits are donated to animal rights, so I do appreciate the worthy cause very near to my heart. Please Sublime, increase the portion size just a bit!!
Also, the decor could be a bit warmer. The tables and chairs and interior are a bit a stale. I appreciate they are going for the "clean" look. But a little more ambiance wouldn't hurt! All observations are made with love! We will continue to dine here on occasion...
We love Sublime and eat here whenever we’re in town. Very friendly staff and great food whether you are vegan, vegetarian or along for the ride with friends and family. Bon Appetit!
Was visiting Ft Lauderdale from Rochester NY and was looking for a vegan restaurant. Checked online and Sublime came up. Surpassed my expectations both in food and surroundings. Even my husband, who isn’t a vegan, enjoyed his whole meal. I never get that response out of him. Definitely order dessert. Cake was huge and delicious
As someone who is vegetarian and leans towards vegan, I have been wanting to visit Sublime for ages and was really looking forward to this meal. But sadly I was disappointed. Maybe it is because there are now a lot more vegetarian and vegan options and the food here was nothing special. The flavors were lacking in all the dishes we had except for the frito misto which was excellent.
What a pleasant find Sublime was! A client recommended it, and while it was a bit of a drive from where I was staying, it was worth the trip. The menu has very interesting choices. The Frito Misto appetizer (crispy cauliflower in a sweet chili sauce) is absolutely fantastic. For my entree, I had ravioli filled with spinach, artichokes, and mushrooms--another excellent choice. My colleague with whom I dined is a meat eater, and he said he never would have expected vegan options could be so delicious. The ambience is very nice, as well. Our server was not the most engaging person (not rude, by any means, just a little less warm than he could have been), but overall this is a wonderful option in Ft. Lauderdale.
Always a wonderful experience that is worth driving for. Great cocktails. Lovely ambience.
The food came out cold my ravioli was not done hard ! The table did not feel clean it was sticky it just did not feel great ! The service was ok the bar service was great when I hit my wine glass by accident she refilled it very prompt!
Always great food when we are in Ft. Lauderdale!
Made reservations, service and food were excellent. Already planning our next trip there.
Sublime has the perfect name. The experience was simply sublime
Not that good. Would describe as vegan food in a can. We should have known better when we walked in and 90 percent of the restaurant was empty at 7 pm at night. Was not a good sign.
Beautiful restaurant with excellent service and very good food. I found it to be very expensive (probably location in Ft. Lauderdale) and a limited menu. There was more in the alcohol selection than food. I have eaten in vegetarian restaurants in London, Dublin, Bangkok, NYC and Singapore so by comparison, a very good restaurant but I would not give it five stars due to previous experiences.
Waiter was very good knew all the food well. I loved my smoking bean soup.
Everything was awesome.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food was super delicious. Ambient cozy. Coming back for sure again!
I took my girlfriend here for her Birthday and the food was pretty good. The Mac and cheese was great, the coconut cake was amazing and everything is vegan. The only partial downside is the chicken being made by Gardein. I thought it be housemade seitan or something instead of a product I could buy at the store. Other than that, I recommend this place 👍🏾Great customer service, great experience!
My husband & I both loved our meals, I had the vegan not chicken cutlet w/ kale, He had Veggie Lasagna.
The food here was very uninspiring. For vegan entrees, the food was not much different than what you could make yourself such as Gardein frozen foods. Very limited menu, so-so taste would have expected much more creativity from a vegetarian place that has been around so long it does not keep up with even the most basic new vegan options. Avoid.
My husband and I really enjoyed everything ..from the entree ..chili cauliflower was the best..our main course was just enough to leave room for dessert ..and the chocolate cake was just enough for the both of us .the taste of everything will definitely bring us back ..one minor concern ..we sat directly in the front entrance which our waiter was not very attentive to us, but he explained why ..because they had his sections scattered ..he knew this was a issue and gave us the dessert for free..we thought that was honest ..next time will ask for a better seat!
The dish that was ordered wasn’t great it was a comparison to chicken & potatoes with a sauce. I have been to this restaurant & was very well pleased however not with this dish.
Fabulous vegan lasagna. The best I've ever had! Wonderful service in a quiet atmosphere where you can hear each other and carry on a nice conversation during dinner. The fritto misto is a wonderful appetizer. The portions are generous and the service is excellent. This will be my go-to spot in Fort Lauderdale
Fantastic Vegan meals
ZERO ambiance!! Place could be really nice. Very boring bland vegan menu. Should have just cooked myself. Definitely won’t go back
Very nice Veg/Vegan restaurant. Seems to need a few more entrée selections, maybe it would fill all the tables. Not a Veg, but had a terrific meal. Very nice ambiance, upscale but not stuffy
Always nice to eat here ... never a disappointment
The food was delicious and completely vegan. The frito misto was wonderful. Ambience is sort of average but the service was attentive and helpful with ordering . We will definitely go back when we’re in Fort Lauderdale again!
The food menu was a bit limited and they need more gluten free options. Great place f you are a straight vegan with no other restrictions.
