Sub Zero Vodka Bar Ratings and Reviews
Great drinks, and fun atmosphere. The bartender Zack was great. Very entertaining. I will say they need some help with the cooking. The wague burger needs to be at least medium well (meaning some pink) to mediun (warm pink) center. What we got was well to almost burnt. The rest of our food was great and the drinks were incredible. We are willing to give it another try the next time we are in town. The management was very appoligenic. All the staff was friendly.
I have come here for my birthday for 4 years. I still like the martinis but was very disappointed in the sushi this time. The fish was bland, there wasn't much fish in a roll, rice was a little soggy, the salmon was just flat. Prices were inflated for mediocre food.
We were disappointed. We went to celebrate a birthday. The waitress said she would bring a gift but never returned. We thought probably dessert or something small. She was easily distracted and not very attentive. The birthday drink with the dry ice was lots of fun!! We enjoyed our friends company and the vodka!!!
We arrived and were seated on time - outside. The weather was beautiful. Heidi, the wait-person was super friendly and very efficient. Her suggestions were right-on and the food came quickly and was delicious. Some had burgers, some had sushi. All went well.
While the sushi ordered by the two adults was tasty, the waffle ordered by the child was mushy and bland. Our server wasn't particularly attentive (long breaks between when she checked on us), and drink refills (of which each adult only had one, and the child's was never refilled) took much longer than would be expected, given there weren't many customers there at 10:30AM on a Sunday morning. That said, our server and her trainee were exceptionally friendly, and overall we enjoyed the visit.
I have already suggested it to a friend with the warning that service was very substandard. I never imagined waiting for a drink in a bar!!! However, it was 10 mins before a waitress came and gave us a menu and then another 5 mins before she came to take our order. The recommendation was based on excellent cocktails and good seafood. Pitiful service!!
Food was good. Drinks good. Hostess not the best, when we asked for a different table she said "this is the one we reserved for you" and sat us right by the loud, drunk people at the bar right behind the hostess stand. Didn't even think about checking for another spot and there were obviously open tables in other areas.
Well I booked through open table for outside table I arrived at 7:00pm the time of reservation only to wait for about 15mins before I was seated. I asked several waitresses for assistance and they said ok no one never came to me. A man dressed (button up , slacks) walked up and said are you waiting to be seated and said just sit anywhere (which I thought was rude and poor service)
We were able to eat outside for lunch on May 10th because the weather was beautiful. It was a great lunch although we felt like we had to wait for food and the check a little longer than usual, even though the restaurant did not seem busy. We still enjoyed the lunch and our sandwiches were great.
We had a reservation requesting a table for 8:30pm, so I dropped my boyfriend off 5 minutes before so he could get our table but when I arrived after parking the car I discovered we'd been sat at the sushi bar. After speaking to someone who I assume was a manager or asst. Manager, we were seated outside at a table directly next to where the valet keeps keys- also not great but we decided it better than where we were before. We ordered dinner shortly after and did not receive our food until after 9:30. The food was good, but not much else was. We're hoping this was due to it being a busy Saturday night and we'll know next time to go somewhere else, maybe try Subzero again on a slower weeknight.
Absolutely awful Easter not because of the food, but the absolute lack of service. I waited at the hostess desk while employees walked by me. The manager finally came up and seated us outside. Then sat for at least 10 minutes whike multiple servers walked by and no one bothered to stop and so much as give me a glass of water. I waved my arms and hailed a server over. It was not her table but she agreed to help us . We finally got our food 48 minutes after I was seated. We had to ask for silverware and napkins . No offers for coffee or drink refills. When I went to the manager and told him that the food came out unbelievably late and stone cold as well, he made excuses and said that we shouldn't have seated ourselves outside. I made the observation that it was him who seated us at table and that I had even made a reservation. We eventually got warm food, which was fairly decent. But it really put a damper on our special Easter brunch. I have been to Sub-Zero in the evenings for happy hour, and some appetizers. I think that is what they should stick to. Because the martinis and types of vodkas really are very creative. But absolutely forget trying to get decent service during the day. It is not well managed.
