The food was delicious and our waiter Xavier was friendly and knowledgeable about the food being served. Hope to be attending this restaurant for years to come.

We visited during restaurant week and the three course meal was fabulous. The environment is classy and casual. The cocktails are well crafted though a bit on the spendy side, even for Seattle. The food was delicious in perfect portions. We had veal cheeks and quail confit. We are not normally fancy food people but this bridges the gap between great flavors that feel familiar with quality execution. Nothing but impressed. Would definitely go back.

My husband and I went to dinner at The Stumbling Goat in the heart of the Phinney neighborhood during Seattle Restaurant week and were blown away! We have made a point over the past 2 years to try as many new restaurants during this twice-a-year event as possible, and SG has the best 3-for-30 menu of any place we have dined. They not only had their set 3-for-30, but they added additional appetizers/small plates and entrees. Our server was knowledgeable, the hostess was friendly and genuinely excited to have us there, and the staff seemed to truly enjoy working there. This is definitely a restaurant for people who LOVE food and don't care about dining in a fairly noisy place. Once you taste your food, all that noise becomes insignificant! We can't wait to go back. Thank you, thank you, thank you Stumbling Goat!!!

Our near by go to place. Always a great HH, try the sour, and fine food. Ditto for the regular menu. A varying and well done dishes.

It feels a bit unfair to leave a rating like this for a restaurant with such good things going on, but we went for food and the ratings are based on that. We selected this place for Restaurant Week. For $80, we received a small plate of asparagus, small cup of soup, a small plate of fish and a small plate of quail. Don't get me wrong, they're all beautifully plated it's just incredibly small portions. I'm not comparing it to McDonald's portions or the average American portion, either. It's literally kids meal sized portions that are very expensive. Some of the seasoning blends were great, but my quail was dry and burnt. There wasn't one item I wanted to have a second time due to the portion size and taste. On the up side, this restaurant had such good ambiance, spacing and lighting, my boyfriend actually complimented how I looked in the light (that's never happened before). I love how the waiters wear regular clothes. One was wearing basketball shorts. It made me feel more comfortable.

We made a last minute 7:30pm open table reservation for this restaurant last Saturday and couldn't have been better taken taken of. From the service to food and drinks.. This is the best meal we have had in Seattle since moving here from Portland in November. Well done!

I don't usually order the vegan option, but out of all the scrumptious offerings this one caught my fancy. Beluga lentils with spring vegetables and chickpea fritters in a romesco sauce. You might think it would be an overkill of legumes, but there were lots of great flavors and textures. I would have called the fritters falafel, but they didn't come with the usual middle eastern sides. My partner had a very rich and hearty pasta with mushrooms, he was glad he opted for the smaller portion. It's a bit noisy for a quiet, romantic meal, but the place has a nice bistro atmosphere and the wait staff is very professional and helpful. The downside, something went wrong in the kitchen and the fritters came out after the entree, with many apologies.

I felt everyone I came in contact with was super friendly, in a sincere way. I loved how many people would come in and they knew the full wait staff and hugged and said hello. There was just a very friendly positive vibe all across the whole place. Not to mention the food was PHENOMINAL. We got the grilled octopus for the app and he got the mushroom pasta and I got the chicken. All three were delicious. I felt very full but not overly full like you would at a restaurant that cooks with a lot of grease. The quality was awesome and I would go back again. The pricing was a bit higher than a typical sit down might be but its all worth it.

Really wonderful choices on their April 3 for $30 menu. This restaurant always makes the most of in-season vegetables, and gives every dish a lot of attention. Nice staff.

We went here for Seattle Restaurant Week and were very disappointed. We had been curious about this place but it is not vegetarian friendly so we had not been here before. However for SRW they had a vegetarian option for each course. The artichoke bisque was very bland and boring. The entree, artichoke risotto, was so salty that it was worse than processed food. The choc caramel mousse cake was lacking flavor. I would never eat here again because the chef clearly lacks any semblance of a pallet.
