We had a great time sitting outside enjoying the breeze and the wonderful food. Large selection of beers, our waitress was very knowledgeable. Service was very good. Prices were reasonable.
ALWAYS have a great experience here... staff is quick, attentive, and pleasant and the food is always fantastic. Thanks again, guys!
Went with some friends from Europe to give them a taste of US and Milwaukee. Food is good, sort of pub food plus. The real strength is the enormous beer list, and our server was very good about letting us have many samples to figure out what we wanted. If your aren't a huge beer fan, it's ok to good. If you really like beer it's good to great.
We had a great meal at Stubbys for their special Mardi Gras Party! The wait staff was amazing, the food and beer was incredible, and the atmosphere was excellent.
Service was very great, food was awesome! Definitely will go back again :-)
Stubby’s is always a favorite and this experience was no different. The food is always good and there is something for everyone. The beer list is fabulous, knowledgeable and excellent service and sports. Perfect!
We were there mid day, not busy at all. Very relaxed atmosphere. Like the veghead options.
Only thing was the young girl at the register didn’t want to accept my open table reservation. She said we are not busy you don’t need a reservation. I said we chose your restaurant because of the open reservation for the open table points. She didn’t know what open table was. The manager walked by and he helped to take care of everything.
Good food in a cool atmosphere. We had the ahi tuna appetizer which was outstanding, the burger which was also first rate. Also had the heirloom tomato salad which wasn't anything special. It was basically lettuce and tomatoes with some wontons on it. Very cool deck and view. We will go back.
Amazing food but slow service for not being very busy
We've had Sunday Brunch here, before, but decided to try Stubby's for their Friday night Fish Fry.
Sat out on the little patio, overlooking the river. It was a beautiful evening, perfect for this occasion. Stubby's met or exceeded all expectations, for all four of us.
I, personally, did not order the Fish Fry, but had the El Dorado (fish) tacos, which were excellent and I highly recommend!
Be prepared for their extensive beer menu! (But, I believe they will let you taste test before you place your order.)
Very much enjoyed our meal and price point.
And, our waitress was great!
Will be returning soon!
Service was pretty slow, but the food was good and atmosphere was great.
We went for Mother's Day. Stubby's is fun, the food was really good (pretty indulgent...I mean, I had tater tots smothered with sausage, eggs and sriracha hollandaise sauce!!), our waiter was delightful - charming, responsive and attentive. A good neighborhood place. We'll be back.
Party of 6 (4 adults and 2 children) and everyone gave a 4 star rating out of 5. The only negative was the lack of children menu, although the restaurant was accommodating.
The food was good. Great selection of beer. Our waiter made the experience better.
Great food--. Service.---beer. Great spot to watch your favorite team
Waiter was very overwhelmed and left us without drinks for a while. They had also forgot the chicken for our Mac and cheese so we waited ten minutes for that which no one said anything about even though the manager knew. Just needs a better system. When you see your servers overwhelmed where are the managers to step in and help. Not much support staff.
Very good food.great outdoor seating. Short on staff but customer service overcame that
Everything was pretty much what I would have expected. Mixed review on the food. I had the mushroom / goat cheese flatbread pizza which was really good. My dinner companion ordered the meatloaf, which was extremely salty. I have to think it wasn't supposed to be like that and that it accidentally got salted twice. It tasted like a French Onion soup mix was part of the recipe, which is already salty, and then it got salted again.
Servers and staff were very attentive and the food was absolutely delicious!
Awesome food great atmosphere and huge beer list👍
I really enjoyed my meal and my boyfriend said his burger was made perfect. I did feel that some of the prices were a little high for what you got.
The energy and ambiance is great and the beer list is even better. The food was good - we stuck to appetizers and one entree, which was a new item and didn't turn out great. The best part was the service and attention of the staff.
Impressive beer list. Excellent food. Chicken sandwich was delicious.
Enjoyed a wonderful brunch outside on the deck. Beautiful view of the river with great drinks and fabulous food. The service was SPECTACULAR!
We have gone to Stubbys many times for evening burger, sports, and beer . This was our first visit at brunch/lunch time. The brunch was outstanding. Skillets are excellent. For our non-breakfast eaters lots of yummy lunch choices. Will definitely need to come back
Great venue and location on the river - with an awesome outdoor balcony for summertime dining ...
Service is friendly and efficient...
Food is definitely a step above the typical pub fare you'll experience elsewhere in MKE...
I had the Riverwestan Skillet and my boyfriend had the Chicken Fried Pork Sliders. Both were phenomenal and service was excellent. Definitely will be back!
Their 53rd tap is for Stub Club members and they always have something amazing.
Their chef is always putting out high-quality, creative food. Their beer dinners are a blast!
Visited Stubby's with a friend on a weekend in March 2016 - had dinner and several beers. The room was noisy (sports on TV everywhere) but not obnoxiously so. We were able to converse pretty normally. The menu was interesting, offering something for most taste preferences. The choice of brews was outstanding. Great spot for bar food, drinking and fun.
Not bad! Good bar food. The beer menu wasn't as impressive as they boast and their mixed drinks were weak and subpar.
I always have a great time when I go to Stubby's whether it's to enjoy a beer or drink at the bar or to eat a meal. The atmosphere at Stubby's is always inviting and it never fails to disappoint!
Food and beer were very good. We had one scotch drinker who was disappointed that you were out of there 1st 2 choices and settle for a 3rd choice that was OK
Had the walleye - was really good. Not huge, but for me, that's perfect. Still brought some home. Went with friends who are also beer aficionado's - loved the beer list.
Went on a Thursday night to have dinner with a friend. We shared a large plate of nachos which was a good size for two people. My buddy had three beers, I had one. 4 beers and nachos was $14 and some change. Thursdays are cheap taps night and because we ordered our food before 6PM, it was happy hour priced at 50% off. For $14, we were very happy.
Enjoyed the great list of beers on tap and the walleye was excellent
I always enjoy a visit to Stubby's! Good food, great service every time, and an extensive beer menu! My one issue is how often beers on their menu end up being on the unavailable list (check the chalkboards). The staff is always ready to help you choose a replacement and let you sample till you find the right one though!
We had one of the worst dining experiences in memory. Stubby's pretends to be a beer emporium and "gastrogrub" pub. The food, service, and selection of beers on the menu is a joke. They advertise 53 beers. It took me 5 trys to find a beer on the menu that they actually had. The server was apathetic and had no clue what any of the beers were, and had no concern whatsoever that they were out of most of the beers on the menu. All we got was poor service and excuses, even after the manager came out. We will not be going back here, and with service and selection this poor, I doubt they will be in business much longer.
