My husband and I love Stroubes. The service is always friendly and the food is lovely. Our favorites are the redfish, blue cheese wedge salad and the creme bruele!

My husband and I dined here for our anniversary. We have eaten here 2 other times and had great food and service which is why we chose to return. Everyone we ordered was delicious and our server, Alexandra, was attentive and amazing. We will be back!

Arrived at five . It was raining and the place was not busy. We ordered drinks. I ordered Long Island ice tea. It was very good. Wife had a Juan Collins. She thought it was different, but good. Started with crawfish beignets. They were wonderful. I tried the duck egg rolls. Good but not great. My wife ordered the fried red fish special. It was large, good and covered with crab meat. Took some home. I ate the boneless duck breast. Seasoned and cooked perfect. We were both full and ordered no dessert.
Oh, I forgot the wonderful garlic bread, served at the beginning. I love garlic and the bread had plenty. They also had a great wine selection and we tried a couple.
To make the night complete , we were taken care of by a very knowledgeable and attentive server , Daniel.
We will be making a return trip. It had been quite some time between visits. It was a pleasant surprise to find a new menu and great service.

Fine dining in Baton Rouge. They have a happy hour from 5-7pm. $5 apps and $7 cocktails. I had the Blood Orange Old Fashioned and the crawfish beignets- those are like crack. So good. Perry at the bar knows how to make a cocktail. Interesting to note, they have no beers on tap.

For dinner I ordered the crab, corn, and Brie bisque ($8) and complimentary garlic bread to start, and the 6oz filet mignon Oscar style for dinner ($30 + $15). Desiree, my server, was exemplary. Friendly and polite.

The soup was rich and creamy with just a touch of heat. The warm garlic bread was delicious with lots of melted butter, garlic, and a hint of rosemary.

The ambiance is classy, but not over the top. High ceilings and large windows with a charming view of the street and trees.

My filet mignon was perfectly cooked medium rare on a bed of asparagus topped with lump crabmeat and béarnaise sauce. Simply awesome. I'm glad I got the 6oz. The 9oz would be too much.

I'll be back.

Visited Sroubes for business meal with 3 colleagues on May 16th. One meal had a small piece of plastic in it so colleague stopped eating halfway through meal. Manager comped meal although since company was going to pay we would have preferred no plastic and paying for that meal. One meal was pork ordered "medium" but was entirely pink inside so colleague asked for a to-go box and took home and finished cooking it until no longer pink inside. My meal was salmon which I ordered "rare" and was perfectly seared on outside and pink inside, but the piece was less than 2" wide though 5+ inches long, so pretty small and I was still hungry. If I'd have known I would have ordered more sides but when I asked waitress (who was very professional and good) about portion size versus needing to order sides, she said came with some sides and some shrimp so should be plenty. My boss ordered same. Previous visit I ordered 24 oz bone in Ribeye which was perfect.

Very relaxing and enjoyable dinner. Food was delicious. I highly recommend the Gulf Fish with Crawfish Risotto and Amaretto Creme Brûlée. Excellent service.

Amazing food! The hot pepper calamari was scrumptious. My steak could be cut with a butter knife and practically melted in my mouth. My husband had the grouper with the rich and creamy grits and brussel sprouts. We finished with the chocolate mousse which was heavenly!! Wonderful anniversary dinner.

The food was excellent and our waiter, Vadim, was knowledgeable and congenial. This was the best meal I've had at Stroube's. I highly recommend the steak special: a 6 (or 9)oz filet sitting on asparagus. The steak was generously topped with lump crabmeat and drizzled with hollandaise.

Food was good overall and well presented. The corn, crab and brie bisque was a little too salty and the brie overpowered the crab & corn. The redfish was well prepared, the crawfish risotto had very few tails, and asparagus were a little too firm—a bit pricey for the quality and quantity. Complimentary bread was very good. White chocolate bread pudding was a bit lacking in the white chocolate portion but was still tasty. Our server was friendly but was inattentive—waited long periods to get water glasses refilled and checks brought and settled. This is a nice restaurant but a bit overpriced considering some of the other venues in town.

Lamb lollipops as well as seafood gnocchi appetizers were excellent. Fish special was Grouper and it was cooked to perfection

Food and service exceeded our expectations. The Duck and Andoulle egrolls were incredible. My wife and I shared a. wedge salad. My wife had the Salmon and I had the Redfish. Both were very good.

We went to celebrate our anniversary. Service by Kenny was outstanding. We never felt rushed. We enjoyed perfectly and uniquely prepared food and excellent wine. We will definitely return.

From the appetizer all the way through to dessert, the food was excellent. Our waiter was engaging and very helpful throughout the meal. Stroubes is our new favorite restaurant for special occasions in Baton Rouge.
