Named a top steakhouse by Zagat and awarded four stars by Forbes, the namesake cut of aged beef isn't the only work of art to marvel upon...just take a look at the walls and tell us you don’t agree. Black and white vintage photos of bordello girls from the original 1900’s Studio Manasse collection reference an era of decadence and seduction.

Great evening with great food and great service. Definitely a place worth going back to again.
Unfortunately I had such high expectations as I heard good things about this restaurant. “Dry aged” tomahawk was burnt, tough, dry, and under seasoned. Did not taste like it was dry aged at all. Will not be returning.
I am frequent diner at Strip. It’s an amazing steak house. This is the first time I had a bad steak. I didn’t complain because server was so nice, attentive and professional. I think this was an aberration.
Best steak in the city! Great and attentive service. Great bread.
Love the service. Bartended drinks are amazing. Only negative thing I can say where that the haricot vert were undercooked and were not sautéed long enough to give them the garlic & olive oil flavor it needed.
But overall, great place and service is A+!
Great time with friends. Always love coming to Strip House for a steak. The rib eye is second to none!
I think that Strip House is the best steak house in Manhattan. The steaks, especially the 10 oz grass fed filet, are so flavorful and tender, and all of the sides are scrumptious. Add fabulous decor / ambiance and top shelf service and the Strip House experience is truly one of a kind. I love it!
This place is always great. Great and rapid service, and everything is served perfectly - presentation, temperature and taste. I look forward to going back.
Great service. Perfect steak.
Best steakhouse in NYC! Great every time...
Always awesome. We go all the time. No specific reason. Just great.
Had a great time. Great food and service
Food was great, drinks were great and the service was great.
Still love the Strip House after all these years. Everything was delicious - shrimp cocktail, oysters, filets, creamed spinach, duck fat potatoes. The filets were cooked to perfection. We don't drink and I always appreciate the server not acting slightly put out by that - our server was wonderful as were all the food runners. I highly recommend the Strip House if you have a hankering for a steak and want something different than your typical steak house.
Always a great time at Strip House. The bartenders are very engaging and great at recommending pairings to go with dinner. Great food in a fun atmosphere, what more could you want?
Everything was good, but there was a good 25-minutes from when the main course plates were cleared to when we even received a desert menu... had to take the desert to go- didn’t appreciate the long wait without drinks or desert after we finished dinner.
I wanted to eat at a NYC Steakhouse on this trip to the city of my youth. There are dozens to choose from these days, as the polarized carnivores have grown, in spite of the political incorrectness of chewing on a piece of meat. It isn’t Leed approved.
The Strip House was chosen because my choice of meat is always NY Strip and the restaurant was convenient to listening to jazz at The Roxy after dinner. In the old Asti, of opera singing waiters fame, the Strip House decor gives you nothing new, in spite of the old Asti photos on the wall. Everything is red, providing an ersatz bordello look, but on examination it’s just cheap looking. There is nothing luxurious about the design of The Strip House. It’s large, with a big bar, with white jacketed servers, and lots of red.
Our server was Keith, who I thought looked like a Kevin, and after an initial coolness, Keith warmed up and made our night. Our strip and ribeye steaks were cooked perfectly, with a wonderful char and flavor. Crispy potatoes and creamed corn accompanied the meat well. My iceberg salad was a weak substitute for a wedge, but that was the only let down of the dinner. Desserts were NY Steakhouse true, large and self indulgent.
Strip House stood out amongst all the other steakhouses in NYC due to its honest and up front service. The woman at the front understood the table I wanted and asked me to wait a short moment, so she could meet my needs. It was the kind of perception all restaurant staff should have. Keith, our server, picked up on my need to converse, and he was charming and informative once he had the time. Because of these people, The Strip House will be my choice when I want to be politically incorrect and eat a huge piece of meat. Cavemen and Cavewomen unite!
Jhon provided exceptional service and the restaurant ambiance was very beautiful. Not overly busy for a Saturday night and we pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves. Food was delicious! 10/10 Would return
Overall, not my favorite steakhouse in the city. The meat was a little over cooked and our server said about two words to us the whole time. I wish I could have just tipped the bus guy he was working so hard.
We go to Striphouse every year for our anniversary, and the food and service is always fantastic! Although we always state it is our anniversary in our reservations- we never have anyone at the restaurant mention it, which is disappointing. This year, the service was not very good- we had to wait awhile to hear specials and order drinks, and after our main course arrived our waiter did not come by to check on us- a food runner got us more water and I was left without a glass of wine for half of my steak.
Great food. Great servers in general but our main waiter was a bit stiff and not friendly at all. Would go back though because the other servers were nice and food is very good.
Celebrating our cousins anniversary
Room for Bachelor (sort-of) + 7 guys. Table location wasn’t the best (up front) but overall good times
Ottimo locale, miglior NY strip della città ma locale rumoroso e tavoli troppo vicini. Prezzi in linea con NYC
Outstanding restaurant highly recommended
Still on top of their game, great service, great steaks, appetizers, extensive wine list. Whats not to like at the Strip House!
Phenomenal as always, I've never had a bad experience here.
All three of us agreed that the steak quality was not there. The sides didn't taste right. The appetizers on the other hand were good. The service was good. I didn't feel the price was equal the quality, therefore my search for a good steak continues.
I loved it. Ironically the tuna tartare was the best dish - amazing. Aaron our waiter was awesome and we particularly loved the music. It gave the restaurant a great ambience and as it was retro was right for me and also for younger people. It was superb.
Red vinyl banquettes, naughty pictures on the wall, professional staff from the front door all the way back, attentive but not obsequious service, and great steak. Strip House on 12th Street may be the definitive New York steak house. The dry aged strip steak I had was perfectly toothsome, flavorful, and cooked perfectly.
Love the food as always 8 not a good time best Fillet mignon
You can’t go wrong at the Strip House. Service is impeccable. All staff are friendly and welcoming. Decor is unique. The red velvet walls always make you know you’re somewhere different and special. The food is consistently excellent. Not the widest menu but my wife loved the salmon. The dry aged strip is my favorite and the truffle creamed spinach is a perfect side. You’ll pay handsomely but it’s totally worth it.
The service was good. The food was just ok. The ambience was great, although a bit dark. However, I noted when making the reservation that me and my friend were celebrating our birthdays and I even told the waiter and nothing was done or said to acknowledge the celebration. We were disappointed with that.
Incredible service, outstanding wine list, and of course a delicious meal. Wish there were more like it. A++++
Great place for wine and steak , would recommend. When in NYC .
The food was great but the service was lacking. The waiter was not attentive. He asked if we wanted a second glass of wine and we did not get served for about 20 minutes. Also when done it took probably took 15 minutes for him to prepare the bill then over 20 to come and take my credit card.
Grass fed filet mignon was superb! And Carlos gave us great service. Would certainly return.
Delicious steaks and terrific service provided in a unique dining room.
Good drinks, good atmosphere, good food! Repeat customers. Very consistently good.
