Named a top steakhouse by Zagat and awarded four stars by Forbes, the namesake cut of aged beef isn't the only work of art to marvel upon...just take a look at the walls and tell us you don’t agree. Black and white vintage photos of bordello girls from the original 1900’s Studio Manasse collection reference an era of decadence and seduction.

What Insiders Are Saying
Strip House is a vibey downtown bordello of goodness, and is the antithesis to the things we hate about a place like Sparks or The Palm.
Delicious food, little on the pricey side for the portions. Ambiance is great and the service was exceptional.
Great steaks, and our waitress was fantastic. Really great experience.
We loved our waitress from Algeria, I think her name was Esma? So nice & she added to our fun!
My son and I try a different steakhouse every month. This is 4.5 out of 5
Excellent atmosphere, food excellent. Prices could use some rationalizing
When it comes to have a GOOD/PERFECTLY cooked steak this is the place!!! I can say I had the best New York Strip Steak that I’ve waiting for. I had tried so many places looking looking for that perfectly m/w cooked NYSS and I found you STRIP HOUSE.... thank you for letting me find you.
My favorite steakhouse on the planet ... !!!!!
First time here. Got the 40 day aged 40oz bone in tomahawk rib eye special. It was absolutely delicious. Great place and ambiance, will def return.
Sat at the bar with Brian. He was attentive, knew the menu and was wicked friendly. Overall a great experience with him. This was my second trip to Strip House this weekend. Strip House is amazing! The bone in filet was and the gnocchi were cooked to perfection! Thank you for another wonderful experience!
Great service from Asma! Great food, great ambiance! What an amazing place! Tried the long bone and the gnocchi as well as the salmon tartare! Phenomenal place to dine!
music too loud..it should always be in the background and not in the forefront...selection was good, volume wasn't
The foods are excellent. Service was GREAT too.
Superb service is what makes this is a standout spot. Is it expensive? Absolutely! Is it delicious? You bet!
The service is amazing -- steak and food fantastic as well, although a wee-bit pricier than comparative spots
Steak was one of the best I've ever had in NYC. Lived in NY my whole life.
The char on the steak was amazing and the side of Garlic Herb Fries and Asparagus were great as well
Great Valentine’s Day meal, romantic atmosphere, amazing service.
Everybody there made you feel at home. There wasn’t an employee without a smile and willingness to help. The manager, Bryan, was the nicest!! Definitely coming back & have already recommended it to many family and friends!
The staff was wonderful, the decor beautifully fitting for Valentine’s Day and the food exquisite. It exceeded our expectations and we are very happy we spent Valentine’s Day there. It was a very special one thanks to every staff member at Strip House. Thank you.
Food was amazing, service was great and decor fab. Would recommend
Perfect Valentine's dinner in warm red glow! Steaks exactly medium-rare. Key lime pies wonderful finish.
Food and cocktails were delicious, waiters, water-guy and bus boys were attentive but inconspicuous. Didn’t give them 5 stars for value because you can get delicious meals for much cheaper, but I think it’s worth the experience if you want to dine at a steakhouse with a speakeasy feel. I especially enjoyed the cold brew Black Russian cocktail.
Food is always amazing and hard to top the ambiance. Service left a lot to be desired.. felt like we were bothering him every time we wanted to order something additional like drinks.
great experience. service was outstanding and so was the quality of food.
Great as always!
The quality of the food and ambiance were outstanding. Unfortunately they were not able to overcome our sporadic waiter, who seemed to be interested in pursuing a speedy meal, and once we told him we were taking our team, he disappeared!
The couple next to us got up and moved to another server.
Perhaps that was the best idea.
Food was great, portions were a bit small for the price, understand steakhouses are supposed to be quieter, but needs to be livened up especially when so dark
Wonderful atmosphere, great food, and a beautiful restaurant.
Our server made us feel like we were being rushed.
We had to tell him a number of times we wanted to take our time and relax. He informed us our steak would take a while to cook. When we did order our steak was out in minutes. He also tried to seek an additional cocktail on the bill.
Way too loud. The din is terrible. One of the two steaks was excellent-- the other was just ok at $64.
Wonderful place. Their bread is a bit over dry though. Food is excellent so looking into the overcooked bread situation would be advisable.
The waitress was so nice and helpful. She has been a factor in my returning to Strip House for many years.
The steak was cooked perfectly and the cocktails were amazing!! Our bartender Eddie was on point with his drinks and a great time to chat with! We will definitely be back soon!!
After we paid our check, one of the waiters came over and knocked on our table loudly and said “have a good night”. A very rude way to try and get someone to leave.
Birthday dinner - wonderful service and a delicious dining experience as always!
Fabulous food and service!
Food was good but too over-seasoned / salted for my liking. And service was crap! I usually don’t mind spotty service, but this was exceptionally slow on a night when the places was dead. Our second round of drinks which we ordered before dinner (and our waiter forgot until another reminder!) didn’t show up until after we finished our meal. Overall, just OK considering the options NYC has to offer..
Our family had been dining at Strip House for over 5 years
Last night was a huge disappointment. The service was curt and sloppy. The food was average and my steak was not cooked properly. The waiter made a point of saying how long it would take to cook it to medium well and the steak came out rare! The service was terrible. Bread plates swiped off the table leaving the bread knives on the tablecloth before any bread was served. Very bizarre.
I had a special out of town guest and it was embarrassing.
Great local Steakhouse. Glad it is within walking distance of our house
