For $300 for the 2 of us this is one of the least elegant places. The place itself id nice but the crowd is a bit too bridge and tunnel. When we walked out we looked across the street and there was Gotham. Ahhh. That’s elegance. Sorry. I know you’re a steak place but eh.
Food and service was exceptional, a little quiet but still lively.
Wow wow wow what an amazing place. This place is awesome. Service is amazing and Bernard who served us was fabulous and is certainly an expert when come to big meats!
Steaks and side dishes were the tasteless food I’ve ever eaten didn’t want it to end.
A good time was had by all. They were very accommodating. The service excellent and food wonderful.
Been here a few times and it never fails to please. Service was excellent and the steaks delicious
The most amazing ribeye I have ever eaten in my 49 years of life. Side dishes were very good, but it was difficult to remember them as the steak was so out of this world amazing. Hyperbole justified.
Very good restaurant to try… but expansive. The meat was excellent!
Great experience, overall. Special compliments to Amanda at the bar who remembered drink preferences and then r had been many months! Five stars.
Absolutely amazing. We dined here two nights in a row. Service was excellant, variety of alcohol & quality liquors was top notch. Waiter, waitresses offered great suggestions and were very familiar with menu. We had two different entries and tried a different dessert each night and were far from disappointed. We will definetly be returning soon!!
The mignon was delicious, but strip steak over cooked and chewy. The appetizer (bacon) and side dishes were disappointing. Bacon app was incredibly salty and over seasoned, couldn’t even finish it. The Goose fat potatoes were dry. Spinach was yum though. Expected a lot more for the price point and won’t be going back.
Great service, fantastic meat (took the filet mignon). A great choice.
Ate there on Christmas. Steaks were fantastic. Dessert was great. Service was friendly. The. Noah’s Ark scallops (unfortunately there were only 2) were also very good.
Steak is always perfect every time I go. Staff is excellent, always friendly. The crab meat is always perfect.
Steak was excellent.
Sides - potatoes were tasty but the mushrooms were bland and lukewarm.
We requested no snap peas with the bass entree and the dish came with peas.
Menu felt limited and atmosphere was very loud.
We go to steaks houses often but always on Christmas. Our first time here and won’t be the last. We’ve always been super disappointed with the lack of care that goes into the sides. Most steal houses fail miserably in this are. But not strip! Sides and tomahawk were exceptional. The decor in there is romantic cozy and beautiful. Music play list was equally as good. Highly recommend
After Sparks decided to close due to Omicron, I decided to go to our old reliable, Strip House. Hadn't been in a while, and the food was delicious. They were understaffed so checking in was a bit of a nightmare, but the staff was doing their best to accommodate everyone nonetheless. The poor hostess was doubling as coat check! Our server Jason was great. We split a wedge salad which was very tasty and then had porterhouse for 2 with sides of mushrooms and 'Kung Pao' cauliflower. Everything tasted entirely delicious. The only criticism I have was that the house Martini was $26, so one each was practically half the price of the steak. But otherwise, everything was very nice and we really enjoyed our food. I've come to realize that limiting the bread and skipping potatoes and heavy sides with carbs allows for more enjoyment of the steak.
Food always top notch
Been a frequent visitor for many years. Very disappointed that we sat for a solid 30 minutes without cocktails—15-20 without any initial greeting at all. From there, I was given the wrong steak - a replacement was then sent (the correct cut), but the steak was over cooked.
As this was a business dinner and I was the one to pick the restaurant, I felt I had to keep what was served even though it was still wrong.
I understand restaurants are understaffed currently, but if you cannot greet a table in a reasonable time maybe hold them at the door or send them to the bar for a round.
I don’t mind paying prices like that when the food is phenomenal
This is the place to go if you want to get covid. No masks. No distancing w the tables... Terrifying
Esma is fantastic and represents the best of Strip House
Horrible horrible horrible service
Our “splurge “ dinner while visiting NYC. Absolutely wonderful! Food, service and atmosphere! Beat steak I have ever had!! If you’re in the city, don’t miss this place!!
We had a great time. Food and service excellent as always.
I have dined at Strip House more times than I can count and have always enjoyed my experience there. Usually, one can never get a reservation on the same day but this time we could -- curious. I also noticed a few flaws. First, holiday music was playing at a decibel that couldn't be ignored -- didn't feel like I was in an upscale dining venue. We were told that Corporate Headquarters requires holiday music at this time of year. Really?.... in a fine restaurant Christmas carols? Second, seemed like the restaurant was short on staff as service was quite slow. We like to dine so appreciate not being rushed but this was really slow service. Third, we were told that "we're out of bread for the table" -- never experienced that in an upscale restaurant. How is that even possible? The food was delicious and our waiter was terrific but.........what has happened to Strip House?????? Your next question asks if I would recommend Strip House to a friend and I have to answer yes or no -- I would like NOT to answer that question at the moment given my experience yesterday but, with no choice, I think I must answer NO. I would rather answer YES if someone could address my concerns.
Food is always excellent here. However the two seater tables are placed EXTREMELY close to each other that it’s very uncomfortable. Wish the server gave us a candle or something since it was my partner’s birthday, I’ve written down the note, in our prior celebrations, the server always brought us something.
Fabulous service and great food
Has to be done if you like good service and even better food
See below in the private message for the restaurant
The restaurant packed tables and chairs so close together, even close than pre pandemic, and it was impossible to have a private conversation since tables for 2 were so close. Also, our waiter would not wear a mask and all the others did. They checked very briefly for vaccination status, but all you had to do was flash a quick pic on the phone and you were in - no request to show driver's license to even match the name and face - so they technically copy, but are doing the bare minimum. The steak was very good. But based on the crazy close 2 person tables, regardless of Covid, I would probably not return again.
Great ambiance amazing food but Anthony the bartender was probably best part of our experience. Great personality and made some great drinks.
Definitely not a good option if you want to have a nice quiet and romantic dinner. It’s very loud. Also the tables are so close to each other that you basically feel like other people are seating at your table. Not safe for Covid.
I’ve been coming to the Strip House for at least 13 years. It never disappoints. Had planned my 2020 birthday celebration there but we got shut out by COVID. Was happy to be back. The steaks are incredible as are the salads and sides. Had a delightful Harvey & Harriet red blend 🍷. Plus, we celebrated my daughter’s friend’s birthday. A perfect evening.
For a $400 meal the hostess should not greet guests the second they arrive by saying she needs the table back in 2 hrs. How many people stay too long at their table? Make this something that the manager deals with IF/WHEN some horrible person enjoys their dinner a little too long. We were told this and then sat at our table with no server for 15 min... so how much of a rush are they actually IN to turn the tables? Very rude way to greet patrons. Our meal was delicious. We came with our kids and my husband and each ordered one glass of wine and no dessert.. so yes $400 is no joke.
I have to be one of the oldest most loyal customers to strip house back to it’s early days. How anyone can be treated the way I was is beyond me. Arriving to the restaurant about 10 min late I was great by a manager who started by saying you have to be out by 9:30. A bit taken back by this a agreed to be seated. Me and my guest then waited a longer than usual time to even place a order. We also were not offered wine. The appetizers came out and my guest was less than half way done when our plates were grabbed and his retuned after he explained he was not done. Seconds later our steaks were out on the table and he complained and his was returned to kitchen. 10 min later it was returned not cooked correctly, but we started eating. Not even half done a bill was dropped on the table at 9 pm. I had enough and requested a explanation. The waiter clearly feeling awkward explained we had to be out by 9 not 9:30. I called over a different manger, who was nice but said it’s true. They did reduce the bill and we paid giving the waiter a full tip on the original amount. Just crazy and to make it worse, I went on open table to check availability at 9:30. Lots of tables. Original manager (probably corporate) was no where on sight., pics below. You have lost one of your best customers forever. Ask any of the old staff about me….
This is the first time I had the filet. Most times I get the bone-in ribeye. I wish I stuck with that.
Birthday dinner, went better than expected!
This is our third time dining at the Strip House and it has been amazing each time.
Food was delicious. Server was efficient and nice. Support staff was attentive. Long wait for appetizers. Even longer for entrees, almost an hour. Overall, the waiting for food was the reason why I probably will not go back. It was tasty, but that's not enough to overlook issues.
