Strip House Midtown
Named a top steakhouse by Zagat and awarded four stars by Forbes, the namesake cut of aged beef isn't the only work of art to marvel upon...just take a look at the walls and tell us you don’t agree. Black and white vintage photos of bordello girls from the original 1900’s Studio Manasse collection reference an era of decadence and seduction.

I’ve eaten here twice now and both times the food and service have been outstanding. I’ve had the New York strip and Filet Mignon and both are superb. Recommend getting both with there signature peppercorn crust.
Steak was great, couldn’t really say the same about the drinks I had, or the sides.
A little too loud at the end, one very boisterous table. Overall, very good experience and excellent bisque.
The food was just average tasting and small portions. The service was average too not really good. I had to keep calling the waiter to the table. I expected much more due to the cost. I had to apologize to my guests for my poor restaurant choice. We will never return or recommend this restaurant.
It was fantastic!
The taste of our meals was not worth the $347 tab. The steak was charred, not seared. Also the menu was misleading. We ordered the Porterhouse for 2. The price was $64 but I guess there was some fine print we didn’t see because we were charged $132. I know this is New York and everything is expensive but a glass of tea was $5. It wasn’t even a big glass. I was not impressed at all and regret that I made the reservation. I’ve been to many well known chef’s restaurants that were expensive but the food was delicious! I’ll never go back to the strip.
Second trip to NY and made sure we could come back to strip house.
I’ve been to the strip house many times before. All for special occasion. But this time the man we had for service was terrible. He ignored our table and didn’t listen to our order. It was very disappointing.
Food was awesome. Service was spot on. Vibe was excellent. Little on the expensive side but you won’t be disappointed!
I went here on a lark. I usually go elsewhere for steak tartare but the place had closed. I decided to try strip house and had a delightful experience. I had a Caesar salad that was perfect. I got my steak tartare that was delicious and presented wonderfully. The waiter was incredibly attentive and took care of my every need. Would go back next time I’m in the city.
Once again strip house did not disappoint. You truly get what you pay for here......food and service is top notch.
The steak and sides were delish! The service was friendly and they were very attentive.
Everything was wonderful. Thomas our server, was absolutely amazing!
Was slightly disappointed that I couldn’t order a burger but that was completely forgotten after having a delicious shrip special bacon appetizer salmon and ofcourse steak drinks exceptional
Tks guys will absolutely return
The host was super awesome too must say I though coming in with my lululemon gym clothing may have deterred a hospitable service but nope I was politely asked may I check your coat
Has the feel of a traditional New York steakhouse. Food was good.
Nice atmosphere but felt alienated by waiting staff as we clearly weren’t regulars or in the click. Waiters constantly banged off the rear of my seat as they passed fussing around a table of lawyers behind us. Cheaply dressed hostess looked down her nose at us as we were leaving, for some unknown reason. We will not return, under any circumstances. The food was acceptable, but not becoming of the price charged.
Its much to loud and we hast a table with cold fan
The noise level was off the charts. There was a juvenile table of about a dozen obnoxiously loud Wall Street types sitting next to us. On arrival, when we asked if we could be seated elsewhere, we were initially told no. After it became apparent that this table was disrupting the entire dining room, management offered to move us, but didn't help with moving the appetizers and drinks already on the table, and hadn't yet reset the table we were moved to. The food was great and once we were moved, the service and experience were better. Zero effort at service recovery by management. Not the first time Strip House has been inattentive, but it will be the last as there are way too many steak houses with better service and atmosphere in Manhattan.
I can do better than recommend The Striphouse to a friend, I actually brought 2 friends from the UK to dine there. Elton John concert and Striphouse were my reason for travel,I was slightly nervous as I had raved about it since my last visit in Nov 2017 and was praying nothing had changed. It hadn’t ,it was perfect in every way. The food you serve is up there with a Michelin Star restaurant over here, I cannot wait to return as I will when I visit N.Y. again, hopefully in the near future.
We all agreed our evening spent with yourselves was the favourite of our trip so we give you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great Steak, mushrooms, and Brussel sprouts were excellent sides. We’ve never been disappointed at this restaurant.
It was a great experience. Perfect food, the Steak was wunderful. Great atmosphere. I will come back.
The food is quite nice, but the price is a bit too expensive, especially the wine.
The food was all perfectly prepared, the blood orange cosmos were delicious and the 24 layer cake pleased everyone! We will be going back.
Classic New York "old school" steak house. Highly recommend!
Love this place
I was so satisfied. They went out of the way to make the anniversary experience magical. I recommend to everyone.
Always a pleasure. Great wait staff. Shout out especially to "Sammy" who was cordial and awesome in downstairs room. Main waiter upstairs very knowledgeable on wines. I suggest that staff be trained to inform guests of pepper-covered steak for salad choice. It may not always be what a client expects although food quality never disappoints.
We went in for the chocolate cake and we were not disappointed. It's a HUGE, gooey, decadent slice of love. But enough for two. Wish we had a cold glass of milk to go with it.
Excellent liked eating on leather
And the ambiance of the place was worth the 180 mile trip
Our server was amazing. He was very attentive. Explained everything well. The meat was cooked to perfection. Very enjoyable. The 24 layer cake was worth the trip. Thank you
Bad service, average steaks and below par desserts
This is my second time making a reservation on open table & it has been super easy & hassle free. Strip House Midtown has a ver nice ambience. I went during restaurant with my sister in a Friday night & the place was packed. I didn’t like the waiter we had he was rude once we asked for the restaurant week menu & told him we didn’t want any drinks. He didn’t come by our table again after we ordered except when he brought the check. My sister & I both enjoyed our food very much & ate every last bit of it. I would go back because I love food & I definitely want to try other items on the menu. I’ll just hope for a better waiter!
Absolutely fantastic meal, filet was out of this world! Cream spinach and charred broccoli sides are amazing! All around tremendous experience. Can’t wait to go back 👌🏼
Birthday dinner and reunion with friends. Great steak choices and amazing atmosphere.
Absolutely the best Truffle Bleu Cheese Martini on record. The Wagyu burger is also excellent. And our waiter was lovely, very polite and with a great sense of humor.
Love the food, the location and the venue......the staff is very friendly and I recommend this restaurant!!!
