About Strip House Midtown
A sultry steakhouse in New York City’s Midtown where old-world glamour meets modern style and sophistication. Experience the combination of charred cuts perfectly paired with decadent sides, such as Truffle Creamed Spinach and Goose Fat Potatoes. And be sure to save room for the famed 24-Layer Chocolate Cake.
Named a top steakhouse by Zagat and awarded four stars by Forbes, the namesake cut of aged beef isn't the only work of art to marvel upon...just take a look at the walls and tell us you don’t agree. Black and white vintage photos of bordello girls from the original 1900’s Studio Manasse collection reference an era of decadence and seduction.

Strip House Midtown Ratings and Reviews
Was in NYC for the Christmas scenery and shopping. I looked up a steakhouse and saw this. We where very happy with this place. The service was terrific and the food was superb. It wasn't cheap but I did. Not expect any resturant in NYC to be inexpensive. I thought the prices where fair and the the value to price to be spot on. We will definitely come back here.
Where to begin! We arrived at the Strip House on the last day of our honeymoon in NYC and everything from start to finish was excellent. Truly excellent. All interactions with staff were pleasant and friendly and caused us to feel very comfortable at an already comfortable booth table!
The food is something else, quality I've never experienced and perhaps may not again until I return. Steak cooked to absolute perfection. Flavourful yet at no point over the top, everything was just perfect. The creamed spinach with truffle was something I'll be dreaming of it was that good.
I think it was clear to staff that we were not the wealthy clientele they are used to yet they treated us with every courtesy just the same which I think is testament to their professionalism.
One thing this restaurant is not is cheap. It is, however, not overpriced at all. It is the sort of high quality that absolutely deserves its price tag and I would highly recommend it to anyone I know visiting Manhattan and indeed to you, long suffering readers.
TL:DR Pricey but so worth it! Go!
Good ambiance, good food, good service. Annoying wine list by the glass. They served me a 2016 Malbec. I didn't even know you could buy a 2016. The "reserve" wine list is too expensive and doesn't really have any "premium" wines. Nothing good on the regular wines by the glass list either.
This was my second time here, and last. Came back bc first time was good. Loved the ambiance. Wish the food had been better. I’ve had better steak at cheap chains. Very disappointed. Especially considering the price. Complete rip-off.
Our waiter, Robert, ruined our experience at this restaurant. He never offered two of us a second drink. We asked for separate checks then argued with me when I reminded him at the end of the meal. I told him I planned on sharing my husbands steak and had to ask for a plate. Our tab was $276. For this, I expect better service. The food was just OK.
When you make a post theatre reservation for 10:30 PM on a Friday night, it might be nice for the restaurant to inform you that the kitchen closes at 11 PM, and to not expect a leisurely fine dining experience. My guest and I felt rushed from the moment we sat down. When he brought us our drinks and asked if we were ready to order, I very calmly asked the waiter if we were being rushed, he got very offended, told me the kitchen was closing in a few minutes, and kept telling me that I could speak to the manager if I had a problem with it. It went downhill from there. Food was very good, but they did not make us feel welcome, if anything they made me feel like they couldn't wait for us to finish and go. Not a great way to end to what had been up till then, a great night in NYC. I've had wonderful meals there before, and had been waiting weeks for what I hoped would be another one at the Strip House, but after this experience and the cost involved, I will not be going back again.
They were very accommodating. We arrived quite late due to weather and traffic. They seated us right away and were very nice about it. Our waiter helped us get ordered quickly and they expedited our food so that we didn’t miss our show. Everything we ordered was outstanding and perfectly cooked. We would absolutely dine here again for a special occasion.
The food was delicious! The black truffle creamed spinach and brussel sprouts were my favorite. My family liked the gnocchi special. The New York style cheesecake was huge, but very tasty. The only downside was the price. It was extremely expensive. Over $700 for four people, and we didn't order anything insane (The wine menu has thousand dollar bottles of wine).
From the moment we walked in to the minute we left, we felt welcomed. Our waitress Erica was amazing. She took her time with us and made us feel like we were old friends. The treated my daughter wonderfully and that to me, means everything. We were surprised with a couple of glasses of port with dessert. Truly a great evening. Thank you Erica and thank you Strip !
Dinner was good the steak seasoning was different all in all the steak was good. The sides were perfect to share for the two of us. Twice baked potatoes were full of taste and the asparagus was just as good. The price was right with a couple glasses of wine and and appetizer to start off and our meal. Our table was ready when we expected seated without waiting. The staff was friendly and prompt.
