Fabulous dinner! Great juicy steaks, superb Caesar salad, divine goose fat potatoes. Do not miss.
Food was excellent! Service was terrific. Seating is a little cramped.
So I knew that this was a pricey steak house, but I expected more. Our server was very nice but he did very little, there was other staff that did the serving and most of the work. He did check in on us but did not seem very concerned. We ordered clams casino, they were good, small tasty not the best we have had. The lobster bisque, this was very good, very small crumbles of lobster however, nicely served, not by our server. Also they brought the silverware to the wrong people at the table, I.e. small fork and soup spoon. Then we had a wedge salad that we said up front we were going to share, we had to ask for an extra plate and split it ourselves. At a high end place this is not usually the custom. We had the Filet and Aged NY Strip, the filet was cooked correctly I asked for medium, but was very dry no moisture in the meat. The strip was good, period. The sides, fries and Brussel sprout special were great. Bernaise was very nice. Now the wine list is extensive however if you want anything under $100 you are pretty much out of luck. We did not order desert but were given a small plate of sweets on the house. When I made the reservation I stated and confirmed that it was my husbands birthday, no mention was made of it by any staff, very disappointed considering they show a birthday plate on there site! The atmosphere was nice, but for $500 , I expected a lot more. FYI, We each had one cocktail and a bottle of wine that was $120. Probably won’t go again since there are so many high end steak places in the city.
Great ambiance. Wait staff was fantastic. Service and food were A++++
The bathrooms were unisex, which is not a problem. However they were extremely dirty. I complained and went i went back before i left it was still dirty. The food was not great and neither was the service.
Wrong steak was delivered. Wrong wine given to us. Steaks were overcooked and stringy. Def not the quality we were expecting. Even the bread was tasteless.
My first dinner of 2020 here! Love all the food and service. Will be back again if I visit New York again :)
Wow, The food was amazing. Its a lot of money but its a memorable meal
Just an overall great experience with the food, atmosphere and service.
Been to this restaurant a dozen times, I get it's New Years Eve but our server wasn't around and didn't even drop the check. I did notice the other server always around his tables. Also this has been the saltiest meal I've ever had under this establishment. Mediocre at most for +300 for a meal.
We went to on New Years Eve around 8 pm and had a terrible experience. We ordered cocktails when we arrived and were told the bar was a bit backed up. Shortly after that we ordered appetizers. We were almost finished with appetizers when the drinks finally arrived, about 30-40 minutes after we ordered them. We were almost done with the apps before they brought out appetizer plates as well. We had to eat our apps with our bread plates. Not a great experience
Phenomenal steak and potato! Great service and an awesome atmosphere!
Best steak in NY, in fact best steak I have ever had! Cooked to perfection. Little bit pricey but well worth it. Wine was fantastic, lots to choose from. Service was very efficient. 24 layer cake is insane, big enough to feed a family of 4!
Love the Morton’s chain, but they dropped the ball big time on service. The manager said the “GM” will rectify the situation and call me the next day, but here we are 5 days after and not a single word. I won’t go into specifics about the issues with service, but needless to say I will not go back.
2nd time this week... food was and is fantastic 😊😊
Amazing!!! Delicious steak and the Brussel sprouts were best ever. Our waiter was excellent too, I’m a steak snob if that helps your decision. The wait staff made sure drinks were full and table clean. Great anniversary dinner we had, thank you!
Fantastic service and great steaks!! One of my favs in the city!
Every single time is better than the last. Best quality steaks in nyc and the sides are amazing (creamed corn and crispy goose fat potatoes for the win)
Truly the best!
Myself and my Fiancé chose to come here for Christmas dinner while we were out in New York as we were after something a bit special for our Christmas dinner and it did not disappoint.
We absolutely loved everything about strip house. The food was amazing as was the service.
I highly recommend strip house to anyone after possibly one of, if not the best steaks in New York. We will definitely be going back there next time we are in NYC
Great food and steaks! Would have been 5 star service but they were understaffed on Christmas night. Otherwise the waiter was very good. My party had steaks and rack of lamb! Cooked perfectly!
I made a reservation for 6 for Christmas dinner. they required a credit card to hold my reservation & would have charged my card $50 per person if I canceled less then 48 hours in advance. meanwhile the place was empty at the time of our reservation. The service was good but the restaurant was very poorly lit. We had to use our phone flash lights to see the menus. I saw other people at other tables doing the same thing. We were warned that the steaks would have a pepper topping but it was extreme. The side dishes were supposedly family sized but the mashed potatoes barely fed 2 people. The infamous 24 layer chocolate cake was huge but it was too cold, so the cake texture was hard and the ganache tasted more like a piece of chocolate then a coating on the cake. All in all not as good as I expected. Won’t go back.
We had a very good meal here, but it was extremely pricey (esp the steaks, which of course they're known for) and the wine. It's INSANE to charge $25 or more for a GLASS of wine! There were 3 of us: we started with oysters, which were very good; entrees: husband and i split a ribeye (lightly seasoned, which you have to request if you don't want the default - and very tasty - peppercorn crust; brother had a NY strip with the full p'corn crust. We all loved the meat, esp since the steaks were cooked exactly as we had asked. Also recommend the creamed corn and pancetta. The 24-layer chocolate cake (a house specialty) was also delicious. All in all, a very enjoyable experience aside from the price. If it hadn't been Christmas Day, we probably would have been a lot more annoyed...
Mid town Wait staff not engaging. I was processed through the meal. Was not a diner I was a butt in a seat
Food and waiter were great, but given the holiday the staff seemed a bit stretched. Waited 45 minutes after my reservation time to be seated and took a while for waiter to come to our table. Once they did see us waiter was attentive during the wait for food. Go with patience.
Amazing service and attention to detail. The foods was phenomenal and I always appreciate a server who knows the menu.
Loved the ambiance of this place! So unique which is what I look for in NYC. Food was excellent! Will recommend to all my friends for an enchanting experience.
Birthday Dinner. Service was second to known. Great team work by staff.
Excellent Steak and service
Steak , potatoes and spinach fantastic.....
Service was nowhere to be found.
Great food. Service was good. Friendly, a tiny bit slow tho.
Your bar scene is great. Wish upstairs was a bit more open. Ceiling wise.
But honestly I’m nitpicking. The Strip house is one of my fav NYC spots...
Best steak ever!!!! Loved the broccoli too, it was a favorite!!! The restaurant is pricey, so it is always a for a special occasion.
No real lunch menu? We asked and the waiter basically throws one menu on the table for 4 people?? Service was a bit off.
Overall great food, decor & service! Only down side and perhaps because it was a busy time, was that despite making a rsv and requesting a more private/quiet table, we were still seated dead center. But the rest of the service was excellent, the food delicious and portions very generous! Will recommend!
Waited 65 minutes for food to be served after ordering. Noise levels were way to high.
Food was very good - my son's "best steak ever". Service was SLOW for early evening reservation. Very cold draft from the front door reached my seat in the rear of the restaurant - not comfortable.
Birthday dinner for my daughter, she wanted the 24 layer chocolate cake and it was well worth it!! Filet was excellent as well!
Hidden gem in NYC. Service was a bit slow because they were busy with larger groups. For a two top we were in the back against a pole and the wait staff continuously hit my chair every time they walk by which was annoying.
Lovely atmosphere, attentive friendly service. Steaks were great. Wine list overpriced but our choice of Bordeuax was excellent to drink if not tp pay for.Highly recomended
Great food, great service but overpriced relative to similar steakhouses.
Not the best value for money.
