Strip House - Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
It's really dark in there. Nothing comes with a meal. I ordered steak and only a piece of decorative garlic came with it. Basic drinks are pricey but it's Vegas so that might be normal. Filet was good, practically fell apart. The bearnaise sauce was a little tangy, like vinegar tasting.
Such a disappointment. The caesar salad had no flavor. The waiter asked if we wanted anchovies then charged an additional $4 for 2 pieces. The crab cake for $20 was a mush of lukewarm crabmeat and filler. I asked for well done french fries. They were not only not well done but they were not hot.
After eating the night before at the Old Homestead (their crab cake was twice the size and not filled and coated with breading for $28...enough for a meal) I know now where I will be eating when I'm Vegas.
Food was delicious. Rib eye had a beautiful pepper crust/char and their salmon was thick, yet cooked evenly, still very moist. Must get the Tahitian vanilla ice cream to go with the 24 layer chocolate cake. Portion size for dessert is more than enough for two and we took some cake home. Service was great.
The staff was amazing. I had changed my reservation 3 times because I had some people flake out and others got sick. They were very accomadating.
We went there for my birthday dinner and it was so perfect and delicious.
Our waiter, Ricky, was really awesome and very knowledgeable. He was also very cute.
I would love to go again.
Service was super. Waited on immediately, made reservations. Even welcomed us by mentioning our anniversary. Selected some craft beers...chilled and served as expected. Had the calamari appetizer. Nice and crisp outside and had a wonderful tenderness. Bread basket had a wonderful variety f small breads with real butter. Has a mixed green salad....yummy! Wife and I selected the porterhouse for two. Best porterhouse steak ever! Waitress carved cooked steak and served us. Then had the chocolate cake dessert. Written on the plate was happy 34 anniversary. Nice touch : )
Steak was excellent (Ribeye and Filet). Lobster Mac-n-Cheese was amazing. Other items were good but nothing stellar. Service at the table was good, but the bar must have been backed up as it took a very long time to get a beer delivered to our table by our server.
We always eat at the Strip House for dinner every year we are in Vegas for the SEMA show. We love the atmosphere and food! Billy was our waiter this year and he was outstanding as is all of the waiters and waitresses! we even requested a specific table we like in the corner and they were more than willing to make sure we got it! Can't wait to come back next year!
When we arrived at the restaurant we were seated right away. However, it was about 10 minutes before the waiter came to the table to greet us. Once he arrived he was friendly. I ordered the crabcake and my colleague ordered the fillet mignon. We also ordered the strip house potatoes and truffle spinach to share. The crabcake was good but the potatoes and spinach were excellent. My colleague ordered her steak medium but it came out medium rare. The waiter took it back to cook longer but it wasn't as tender as it would have been if it would've stayed on the grill in the first place. Overall, it's a nice steakhouse.
Our second time there. Everything was great, but don't expect a quick meal. Was really busy and took a little longer than normal. We had to actually eat the entree (which was great) quickly just to make a show, which was slightly disappointing. Still, we'll be back. Classy place really.
We went to the Strip House to find a good steak and we found it. We ordered the 14 oz. ribeye. It was delicious and shareable. I ordered a salad and my partner ordered scalloped potatoes. All delicious. Our waiter was very helpful with the wine list and guided us through the menu. We had warm brownies with ice cream for dessert which was great to share and not get over full. Wonderful evening.
I've been to several steakhouses in Las Vegas and would put this one towards the top of the list. The atmosphere is dark and quiet and fits what I want a steakhouse to be. The service was impeccable, knowledgeable and friendly. The food was outstanding, with perfectly cooked top of the line meat and sides.
Food was outstanding and service excellent. Great wine list and not too pricey. Must try the 24 layer chocolate cake for dessert. Food was served piping hot and on time. Unlike most strip steak houses, the Strip House is on the second floor away from the casino making it relatively easy for good conversation.
Service spotty: 2 separate people would ask the same thing and despite asking twice for wine, wine did not come until well after entre was served. At twenty five USD for one glass, you would think they would bring the wine timely, so they could offer a 2nd glass when i finished the first. Spinach was inedible. Ribeye very good and strip (au gratin) potatoes excellent. Exceptionally vibrant scene, "hopping" the night i was there, loud, but in a good way. Overall, i would not return because of the value proposition; when you are spending more than one hundred and fivety USD per person to dine (before tip), it should be an extraordinary experience. This was good, but not extraordinary.
This place is amazing and we always come here when we come to Las Vegas. The food is superb and the service is excellent. Bar has great cocktails. We actually shared the porterhouse for two and it was cooked just right and sliced at the table. The 24 layer chocolate cake is our favorite dessert.
What a great experience at Strip House - Las Vegas. Got there at my reservation time and table was ready. The vibe of Strip House - Las Vegas is really cool, red velvet looking walls, pictures of burlesque dancers, low lighting, etc. The decor made the experience. Server came over and greeted us right away. Great attitude, smiled, uniform clean, knowledgeable of the menu items. He offered some great selections and we chose some of them. We order the beef jerky appetizer, incredible. We then ordered chopped salad, mushrooms and New York Strip Steaks. All were fresh, tasty, cooked to perfection. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there. There are many steak houses in Las Vegas, but this one was my favorite so far. Went there because of seeing the restaurant on the Travel Channel/Food Network show (can't remember). Didn't order the Tomahawk Ribeye, but pretty cool they offer. So if you are at the Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas and craving a steak, definitely check this place out, you want be disappointed. Cheers.
The overall experience was just ok this time at Strip House. The lamb was advertised as American, but had an odor, which is not normal. We were told that a serving contained 2 double cut lamb chops; however only one double cut was served. We previously enjoyed a meal in Las Vegas and in the Manhattan locations. I would not make the Las Vegas location a priority on another trip. We did not expect to be disappointed.
