Strip House - Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
Service was fantastic. Carlos took great care of us. Steak was a bit undercooked but their version of medium might be a bit different. Steak was very flavourful. Sides were delicious. A bit loud so if you are on a date and want to talk more quietly than look elsewhere. My only negative is that they have a lot of pictures on the wall, but it is too dark to see.
Go have fun, eat great steak.
When I order a steak from a "steak house", I expect it to be cooked properly. I order my filet medium and it came to the table very over cooked (gray throughout). I sent it back and they did not return with my meal for well over 20 minutes. My husband was already done eating so his food wouldn't get cold. The manager that came to my table acted like I was being ridiculous and was incredibly rude. He didn't apologize and said it took that long to cook. We paid for my husband's dish and salad. This was supposed to be a special dinner with my husband that I had been looking forward to all week. I left hungry and angry.
We only came for the famous chocolate cake so I decided to have the lamb chops as an alternative to steak. Best decision ever! The lamb was the best I have ever had and I even started gnawing at the bones to get every piece of meat possible. Our server was beyond professional and helpful. The chocolate cake we came for was everything we expected and more. We couldn’t even finish it because it was so big. We’ll definitely be back next time we come to Vegas.
Have been coming here for years. It was very quiet when I was there, so my server wasn’t busy, but he was still excellent, hitting the right note between friendliness and respecting the customer. The food is always good. In my view the steaks verge on being over seasoned, but the server does warn you of this and you can opt have less seasoning. The “wine by the glass” list used to be superb, but it has been reduced over the years and is a bit disappointing now. My main complaint would be the prices. It is unfair to single out The Strip House here as it is a “Vegas thing”, but $12 for a portion of fries or a baked potato is obscene. I go to Vegas every year and I found it to be noticeably quiet this year. Perhaps the non stop fleecing of their customers is finally hitting home.
Disappointing. Service was so/so, the bussers did a much better job than our server and were much more attentive. My boyfriend's steak (Filet Mignon) was completely raw - he asked for Medium. If you're a steak house you really shouldn't mess this up, especially with the price tag. My lobster bisque was basically pinkish water - totally bland. We picked this steak house because we were going to a concert at Planet Hollywood and wanted to go right from dinner - would have been better off going somewhere else.
We have been many times before and have had great experiences. This will be the last time. The “manager” was the deal breaker. We had ordered apps and our meals with sides . Two filets one medium rare the other medium. Both came out over prepared. My wife kept hers , however mine was medium well and I ordered the med rare. So they took it back and twenty minutes later returned with a new entree . Meanwhile Wife had finished hers and the sides are now cold. I understand it wasn’t the servers fault however in all other situations new sides have been brought. Felt like I was penalized for the kitchens mistake . Called for the manage and his question was did I eat the meat? Uhm yes, ok so what’s the problem? Well let’s see a 300 dollar dinner and this is what’s to be expected?
Very surprised about the quality of food here. The steaks were perfectly cooked with great flavor. The Brussels sprouts, asparagus, and potatoes were amazing. The bacon and beef jerky appetizers were small portions but so worth trying. Everyone at our table of four enjoyed their meal. It compares to some of the top restaurants in Vegas with a smaller price tag.
We had a New York Strip and Ribeye - both cooked perfectly. The seasoning on the steaks is incredible and one of the best I’ve ever had. Sides were delicious; described as family style portions which I was sceptical about when delivered to the table but understood after tasting (very rich). Finished the meal with the 24 layer chocolate cake - definitely for sharing! Absolutely recommend to anybody looking for a great dining experience in Vegas.
Disappointed in food quality this time. Steaks crusted in pepper and waiter did not allow people to select.
Too much info from server...causes lack of clarity and confusion. More info should be on paper for customers.
Items far too expensive..5 asparagus spears for 15 dollars...not even good ones...very large and woody.
Very disappointed this time compared to a previous trip there. Will not go again.
It was great! Everything was wonderful. They took pictures for us and even when my boyfriend proposed to me they kept taking photos for us. It was in every way very special and romantic. After my boyfriend (or fiancée, I said yes of course) proposed the the manager came over and congratulated us and gave us some champagne. We will definitely be back.
