Went for my husbands birthday and everything was fantastic. Order the goat cheese mashed potato and you will not regret it.
Delicious steaks and side dishes. Wine list was extensive. Service was fantastic.
We had gotten a gift card for Christmas and decided to use it on Sunday. I was pleasantly surprised to see the Dine Out Boston was taking place! I had a 3 course meal for $38.00. The portions were great, didn't leave hungry at all. I thought the valet was a little steep - $18.00 and there was no signage stating that there was a charge. Made for a bit of an awkward exchange when I tried to had the valet a $10.00 tip!
Amazing night at Strip by Strega
Cool place! Young and energetic vibe! A bit loud.
Booked on Open table, my request for certain seating was noted and I was impressed :)
Excellent steak place, very pleasant environment, good service, quiet, but frankly pricey so would recommend for special occasion, for business dinner on expense account, etc but not for a regular night out for "the 99%"
First time at Strip by Strega and we will return. Great bar. Extensive wine list, including "by the glass". Enjoyed Ceasar salad, calamari, short ribs - all excellent. Many more interesting menu items to try upon our return.
Amazing! The place, food and the staff. Highly recommend this place.
Excellent food, and our waiter Oscar was impeccable.
Family visiting from Montreal
Nice atmosphere, great wine list and wonderful menu. The food was delicious - the steaks were cooked exactly as ordered.
This is my favorite place in town, Excellent service and great atmosphere!
Best steak in Boston- hands down.
Great wine list.
I had the most phenomenal dining experience here. I came here with two friends for a random dinner, the people at the front desk were super nice and checking in/updating us on th wait to be seated. Our server was amazing, friendly, attentive, & just genuinely nice. At the end of our meal he offered us complimentary shots and a dessert on the house. The atmosphere was perfect, I love the decor and the whole vibe. Honestly , one of my fave places now!
Strip by Strega is a happening place with super friendly and professional staff, from the bartenders to the hosts/hostesses to the great wait staff. Also, the sommelier is terrific and happy to help pick out a nice wine in your desired price range. The steaks are classic prime dry aged steaks, similar to what you'd expect at any high end steak place and the sides are a bit on the small side. The atmostphere is off the charts, with lots of people-watching to be had. It rivals a Manhattan or London high end bar/restaurant in that regard.
Overrated and steak was blah: too pretentious small bar but lively at night
I’ve been to all of the Strega locations and this one has become my favorite. The food is always amazing. The staff is always great. It’s the perfect place for a date or group dinner. Can’t wait to go back!
Outstanding experience . Our waitress was amazing . Jimmy Sala the General Manager is extremely welcoming and first class. A phenomenal dining experience. 10 out of 10.
We went for my husbands 70th birthday. The service was amazing and everyone wished him s happy birthday. The food was delicious and the serving sizes were perfect. The waiter brought s birthday dessert for my husband without me even having to ask.
I don’t drink but my husband does, the drink was his only complaint- he didn’t think it was the correct brand. As soon as he told the waiter, he took it away and got it remade. It was fine then
Service was slow. Food was undercooked. Prices were outrageously expensive.
Fantastic overall. Love everything.
Valentine’s Day, everything was amazing except there was a young crowd next to us that was extremely obnoxious.
Didn’t like the table we were sat at. The normally private room off the bar was set up entirely with two-tops. It’s was like a filing cabinet. When we asked if we could sit in the dining room, the hostess said they were all “reserved.” Not sure what that means; I had a reservation, and I’m pretty sure you can’t reserve specific tables.
I can expect and even appreciate to pay extra for quality cooking and they do deliver true quality cooking and plating arrangements. Service is great too.
While that is true, I can not boast a notable wine list for this place. The wine list is notably large and equally lame, not to mention 10-12$ bottles cost $50-60 dollars. I would be okay with paying 20$ for a 10$ bottle. I also asked if any of the seemingly hundreds of choices were aged in other interesting barrels (whiskey, bourbon barrels) and that was a resounding no. They should charge at the max double for a bottle. 600% upcharge is insane for a basic wine! To their defense that seemingly carries true across all selections you could possibly make on this massively lame wine menu.
I went to Strip and ordered a $65 dry aged sirloin. I was so excited until I received some hockey puck resembling a steak. For $65 I expect to get what I ordered. I asked for medium rare and it was well done. When I complained they just took the steak off of the bill instead of sending me one that I could eat. I entered the restaurant with high expectations and left hoping to never return. I expect good quality considering what I was paying. I left hungry and angry
Excellent service! Food presentation was great. Very nice ambience.
Wouldn’t want to dine anywhere else for Valentines Day.
They invented a new cocktail for me delicious 😋
Best service and food led by incredible management.
This was my 3rd visit to Strip by Strega with a friend. The ambience is great and it's always interesting to see other items coming out to other diners. Unfortunately, the appetizer that I ordered was sent back because I asked if the crabcake contained lump crabmeat and was told that it did (but I couldn't find it) It was a bit disappointing but the Petite Filet was delicious and more than made up for the start of our meal. We also enjoyed the brussel sprouts that were sautéed with hearty pieces of bacon or lardon and cider.
My friend ordered the Tomato & Onion salad with Gorgonzola and Bacon (delish) and then for her entrée she enjoyed the Niman Ranch Sirloin.
We would both definitely return and recommend Strip to others.
It's an experience and one that you should have at least once though I'm inclined to go back. I took my granddaughter there to celebrate her birthday. The food was delicious, not cheap, but very good. I had Chilean Sea Bass which was just melt in your mouth outstanding. My granddaughter surprised me by not ordering filet which she usually does when we go out to dinner but instead ordered the Bolognese. She said she had it there before and it was so good she wanted it again. It did not disappoint. I tried it and as much as I was enjoying my sea bass, I had to admit the Bolognese was superb. We shared the Executive Sundae for two which probably could have served four. The atmosphere is one of exclusivity with plush tete-a-tete banquettes and dim lighting--very romantic. Not for grandmother and granddaughter but certainly for the high profile celebrity couples who frequent the place. We were there early on a Sunday evening before the real hustle and bustle of crowd came in and enjoyed a leisurely dinner and quiet conversation.
Great place, great food, and great service. Also great place for date night. Definitely worth the price.
The service, food, and drinks were all fantastic. I ordered the special which sounded like a hit or miss- and of course, it was a huge hit. The ambiance was perfect for a date, and the servers were all very attentive and knowledgeable. We can't wait to come back
Service might be the best in town. Great menu selection and all the food was very good. The cocktail menu was also a stand out. Price point and quality spot on. Great for people watching. The music was a bit odd, a mix of nineties stuff I hadn’t heard since high school and college, if they could mix it up with some more current stuff or maybe get some live music then the ambiance at this place would just really hit the mark.
All around great meal. From the bread and creative butter, to the steak tartare app, to the wonderful steaks. Every item we ordered was excellent. They gave us a wonderful birthday mousse but we also ordered creme brulee and the molten choc. cake. Service was attentive but not intrusive. We will definitely be back.
The Delmonico steak was cooked perfectly!
It was a long meal - 2.5 hrs for 2 people. We did have app and dessert, but is a very relaxed dining experience.
We were up in Boston for just one day and decided to try a steakhouse. The decor and ambience were very nice. Service was very good with our waiter Oscar. I would definitely go again!
We had an excellent experience. Everything was exquisite. My rib eye melted in my mouth. Sooooo goooood!
We didn’t have to wait to get a table. On point service and great ambience.
